  1. Lets hope it's the start of a nice wee run up to Xmas. If all goes to plan then we could be sitting around the head of the chart. if it was a one off, then it's back to the drawing board for Buther and Mo.
  2. I agree. Rooney is quite a robust player and if he keeps on the defenders shoulders then he won't afford them much time. His downfall is his lack of acceleration, but he makes up for it with effort.
  3. Superb result and first ICT hat-trick for a long time. Can't remember the last. We used to get loads, spread between Wyness and Ritchie. Bring it on home Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
  4. Maybe............................. I remember watching an Edinburgh derby a few years ago on tv. In the last minute, they picked the MotM and they awarded it to Jean Louis Valois, he had scored a spectacular goal and was credited with two assists. There was about 4 minutes of injury time played and Marc de Vries who had already scored two goals, scored another two as Hearts finished with a flourish. He scored four goals and JLV was man of the match.
  5. Wooohoooo Looks like we turned the clock back yesterday..........twice.

A day to remember for Granty then................good stuff.
  7. Oh dear................Butcher must go....... Out out out. Great little pick me up, theres nothing like getting a few goals to warm your cockles.
  8. It's all good so far, lets go for the jugular.
  9. Oh goody, Raith have equalised at Dundee.
  10. Well done Rooney have faith in the boy, he will be our top scorer before the end of the season
  11. Our defence needs a caning at the moment. I see Dundee have scored.
  12. Interesting starting eleven. Roy McBain out oif favour again, Hayes probably still needing some time after the injury last week. Cox drops out, that is the biggest surprise.....well, next to Stratford being in the squad. Rooney could be the guy to benefit from inclusion, if he can take some of the numerous chances that come his way.
  13. In fact, as Mary Hopkin said to IHE the other day.... Once upon a time there was a tavern Where we used to raise a glass or two Remember how we laughed away the hours And dreamed of all the great things we would do Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose For we were young and sure to have our way. La la la la... Those were the days, oh yes those were the days Then the busy years went rushing by us We lost our starry notions on the way If by chance I'd see you in the tavern We'd smile at one another and we'd say Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose For we were young and sure to have our way. La la la la... Those were the days, oh yes those were the days
  14. I would go back in time to an era where the fans appreciated the club and all it stood for. Playing in the big boys leagues and sending Southern teams homewards tae think again. A time when footballers could trap the ball and gain instant control of it. A time when scoring more goals than your opponent was a priority. A time when fans went home happy. A time when our fans saw us winning almost every home game and being the top scoring team in our division. A time when we could defend with applomb and pass the ball from back to front. A time when we had the heart of a lion. A time when you could wander from one end of the ground to the other to watch the second half onslaught at the Bridge end. A time when we were always the underdogs and Scottish cup games were to be looked forward to. A time when the fans got behind the team. A time when we had something to get excited about. A time when going to a home game was not a chore. A time when Bobby Mann was the best defender in Scotland. A time when memories were like this........and the only things we can look forward to were our memories. Ahhhh, bless. Expectation is a mighty strange phenomenon.

Well done Grant. He is one of the constants in this seasons side.
  16. Every team in this league should have been dooable, unfortunately, we are falling short at a few of the hurdles. We just lack the quality and imagination to break down teams. Settle in for the long haul at this rate, unless the January sales throw up some decent prospects.
  17. Scottish football is the pits at the moment.
  18. Saw some of them getting spoken to after the game on the BBC news. Wow, some proper morons in there.
  19. To be honest 5th stand, you are being ridiculous now. Give it a rest. Probably disabled to prevent someone from using in a reply to you.

But the goalie was also doing his job and saved it. Can't blame not winning on Rooney. We would all like him to score more goals, and I do believe that by giving him more playing time he will start to score. He is a bit one paced but he is reasonably strong and is not afraid to shoot on site. He scored a decent goal in the NoS cup final, a good turn and shot from the edge of the box, so there is something there. Does that also make Foran not a good player as he is not exactly banging them in either, in fact, none of our players are any good if you use that theory. I wonder if Sutherland is worth a crack at the strikers position, he can't be any less productive than what we already have?

Ouch! Not heard anything yet, but judging by the treatment he received and him hobbling back to the dressing room, it looks like he might be out for a couple of weeks or more. Pity, as he has been one of our better players recently.

I noticed that Eagle was getting the customary TCS encouragement vocals aimed at him yesterday whilst warming up behind the goals. Shouts of "Eagle........you're sh***" will really have helped him to re-discover some form. Leave it out guys.
  24. Thats the spirit Georgeios. They may be sh***, but at least they are our sh***.
