  1. An old saying of the boys, when we were boys. Your always guaranteed off a chippie bird. :thumb04: ;) :018:
  2. She really needs to get a new pair of boots, she's been wearing them for years, as well as her black leather one's which i rather tbh.. They wouldnt suit me though.. :018: She gets propositioned every week the lass, her bf must get pissed right off as there are threads about her on all the SPL teams forum's. Aah, that will be why i recognise them, mibbe she does have a new pair..
  3. Did it open again after the fire? Does albert still have it, as half chippy, half chinese food? As a youth thats where i kept warm in the winter, playing the olympics game that was their. Was pish at the hurdles, champion swimmer though.. :thumb04:
  4. I have had a ST for Rangers on & off since 86 & travel abroad with them numerous times, and can honestly say, i have never heard that song.
  5. Nonsense, there was a lot more trouble at the football before casuals came along, there were boot boys from late 60's early 70's and there has been high scale unrest at football matches going back over 100 years. The reasons that crowds have dwindled is that in this day and age, there is more to do on a saturday afternoon that go and watch football. Due to travel being more accessable and plenty other new pastimes, that is what has brought down football crowds. To say that the crowds have stopped due to casuals is just laughable. Look back in the history books, you will find riots at football in the UK back to the late 19th early 20th century.
  6. I was a fan of that game in the market also, there were 2 bars in inverness with the table version, that i can mind, the other was in the public bar at the drumossie hotel..
  7. Excuse my ignorance....but why would you need to upgrade to an 80Gig PS3? Does it play Fifa better or something? No, he seen that the prices had came right down, and to sell the 40gb one on e bay and get an 80gig version didnt make much of a difference, people really should shop about before making over priced bids for items on e bay. But as long as the dafties are there, they will be exploited i suppose.
  8. SLF - Inflammable material The Jam - Sound Affects Pink Floyd - The Wall Happy mondays - Pill thrills & bellyaches Stone Roses- The Stone Roses Edited to say, i could have put about 20 albums down, no problemo, teenage years go on for 7 yrs, which seems a long time then, which is not so long now unfortunately.
  9. Bang on their mate, the top floor usually smelt of puff after the art teachers had had their lunch! 21 yrs since i left. and i aint going back for anyone!
  10. You are very wrong their bud, very wrong.. It is far more than a couple of dozen either side. Whether you like it or not, ict initially struggled for a proper fan base & its only due to a new generation of invernesian's coming through and incomers into the area, to make up the support, to a half decent amount. I do believe if the merger had not happened and Caledonian FC had gone it alone, the home averages would have been significantly higher, plus we would have had an away support to be proud of. Only my opinion of course.

    On a LSM

Black and Red All Over #1 Black and Red All Over #2 I used to love LSM, great memories...to be fair the R&BAO fanzine provided some funny banter as well..my band at the time did an interview for Issue 2 ( link above)..strange to see the comments we made about the merger at that time and how far from the mark we were... thanks for the memories BC Now i remember. A Gentle Sound. I used to work wi Carson for a few years & i knew Mark the singer reasonably well. And Glub. Saw you lot play a few times. At King Tuts too iirc. Feckin hell i'm gettin on now. Seen them at the barrows and king tuts, to name but a few, there was an interesting evening in ullapool also, and another somewhere down the west coast. Watching AGS was akin to going to the fitba, in some places.. :018: Black and Red All Over #1 Black and Red All Over #2 I used to love LSM, great memories...to be fair the R&BAO fanzine provided some funny banter as well..my band at the time did an interview for Issue 2 ( link above)..strange to see the comments we made about the merger at that time and how far from the mark we were... thanks for the memories BC Now i remember. We were going to sleep on the underground but it closed at some point. If i remember right, CaleyHE stumbled in near the end of the gig, blootered & had to be wrestled off one of the guitar players....possibly Mike Carson. A good laugh that i'd totally forgotten about until now. ;) Apparently so, so MC told me some weeks later.
  12. Frankie Jew, used to make me laugh, as during the week, he would (at my time in school) charge us 6p, (which went up to 7p by the time i left) for a single cigarette during the week. Then on a sunday, i would go to church(yes church, not a synagogue), and who would be one of the Church elders, who just happened to pass around the collection plate, yep, the very same Frankie.
  13. Scotland under 16/17 played quite a few times at jags park if my memory serves me right. I have one of the programmes somewhere. Did we not play one of the home nations their, in an under 16's game, early 80's?
  14. Its the guy inside watching yer ar*se that would be troubling me.
  15. Talking of drinks promo's,I'm still the proud owner of a Newcastle Brown ale Snooker cue, which i had to drink 147 bottles of broon ale to get (no all at the same time i hasten to add) the things ya do when yer young an daft eh.... 147 bottles of the broon ale, all i can say is i wouldnt have liked to have stayed in the same house as you the morning after yer nuclear brown sessions..
  16. Correct, i'd wake up with a new t shirt every friday morning for you would get a t shirt with every 10 beers bought with the Thursday night promos. Oh, how bad were my Friday hangovers at work..
  17. I think I'm the other one then....... When Caley played in the HL, fair enough, the crowds were *****, but i can never remember ict filliing St J's ground, with folk locked outside with the new regime. The difference was shown when we had a decent SC draw, that was apparent, most of the town, wasnt going to get of their arses to go watch Caley V rothes etc, thats just silly saying you can draw comparances between the two, you lot know it & i know it, but i suppose, its your favoured straw for the grabbing. Mibbe i'm just ill informed. IF Caledonian FC had gone alone, Caledonian would now have larger home averages, and they would be in the same league position, shame some had no backbone really. thanks to the spies. :018: and no, i aint AD. :thumb04: Thats quite a sweeping statement. I couldnt make such a statement about a place with the population of Inverness, let alone Edinburgh! Those few hundred stay aways you mention have been replaced by about 4000 new faces. So, thats good business by anyones standards. Am sure most teams would be happy to merge if they were to get 10 times the attendance! Dont get me wrong, I was Caley thro and thro, but i dislike a lot of ppls attitudes on here (prob mostly from the ones who never went to HL games!) that I have to forget them and move on. NO, I FOOKIN WONT, Inverness Caledonian gave me FAR more enjoyment and memories than ICT has done. Thats a fact! However, I have chosen to Back ICT in the abscence of Inverness Caledonian. Remind me how many ict took a a cup semi final again would you. That speaks for itself, does it not.
  18. I think I'm the other one then....... I'd reckon you are.. :thumb04: There are more ex snecker's, anti ict in Edinburgh than ct fans, that is a fact. whether you lot like it or not, a lot of people left inverness when they didnt have football to watch up their. I know that for a fact, as i know quite a few who have. But never seem to bump into a lot who do follow on from afar, i wouldnt be daft enough to say they dont exist, now that would be stupid, but either they keep very quiet, or just are very thin on th4 ground compared to Ex Caley & Jags lads who never bother with the new regime. Bannerman, good to see, you are still a class A knobend, some things will never change. You were about as front line as Bush & Blair/Brown ffs. Mr Falconer, now there was front line, i'll take my hat off to him, but you, tsk. Just another bank filling exercise to you. Anyone wanna buy any tickets for your end, plenty going spare.
