Willie Miller on North Tonight indicated he knew they were at home to Gretna in the next round of the Cup - is that not confidence?
  4. Ymip, ICT were on high alert for cash sales : DODGY SAINTS FANS RED-CARDED OVER FAKE CASH SCAMJan 9 2007 'SHIFTY St Mirren ‘supporters’ have been shown the red card for using fake bank notes to con other SPL clubs out of cash. The crooked football fans have been handing over the dodgy money to get in to away matches and buy food and drink at catering kiosks. Now loyal Buddies have slammed the con artists and told them they are in danger of damaging the Love Street club’s good name. St Mirren chiefs had already warned supporters that their staff would be on the lookout for any forgeries after fake £20 notes were handed over during last month’s SPL visit to Kilmarnock. But the Saints-turned-sinners were at it again during the Buddies’ SPL match at Inverness Caledonian Thistle on New Year’s Day. One disgusted member of the travelling support has told how she could hardly believe her eyes as she watched a fellow fan try to con a worker at one of Caley’s food kiosks. Carol Parker was queuing for a coffee when the young supporter in front of her accused the kiosk worker of giving him a fake £5 note in his change. The 25-year-old, from Johnstone, said: “This young guy, who was about 18, tried to get the man at the catering stall to swap a dodgy fiver. It was printed like a £5 note on one side but was completely blank on the other. “He claimed he had got it as change earlier in the first half but the stall worker was having none of it. In fact, the stall worker said another fan had tried the same trick earlier. “What made it worse was that the person who had tried it earlier with a fake £10 note was standing right next to the guy who had the dodgy fiver. “The man in the kiosk said to the two of them ‘I might have fallen for it if your pal there hadn’t tried the same thing with a fake £10 about five minutes ago.’ “I think it’s appalling that so-called St Mirren fans are trying to do another struggling SPL club out of money.” Another Saints fan who overheard a supporter boasting about being able to pass on one of the fake notes added: “I went looking for a steward so I could point this guy out but, by the time I came back, he had moved somewhere else. “These idiots are not true St Mirren supporters. If they were, they wouldn’t be willing to put the club’s good name at risk for the sake of a fiver. “The vast majority of Saints fans would have nothing to do with a scam like this and I would ask anyone who knows who is responsible to contact either the club or the police.” St Mirren have confirmed they will encourage the police to take action against anyone who is caught trying to pass on forged notes
  5. We should ask Easyjet to give us sponsorhip purely by giving us a link. One Touch to your ICT Tickets.
  6. Dargo's goal was sublime - Iain Stewart of the SPL! Denzil now a one footed left foot wonder! Roy McBain now rightfooted and lazy boy Morgan right footed!
  7. Mark can only move to a big club with our blessing for his services or will suffer the dreaded curse. David Bambi Procter was the last of many to suffer that fate. Nobody is safe.
  8. Attractive fixture!
  9. Today's result is now history. A few weeks back and we were very concerned about the danger of playing Stirling so great credit to the strategy employed. Remember that Morton are just in front of Stirling and they caused the upset of the round so far so our result looks very good in that context. However, we await the draw with caution and as I posted earlier Falkirk seems the most likely draw but Rangers., if they beat Dunfermline, has a ring about it with regard to the magic of the cup. Just a pity Ross County gave up meekly.
  10. Why can't we have Ross County, Peterhead or Elgin? Congratulations to Deveronvale who I hope get Rangers away for a good pay day. Chances are we will get Falkirk at Home.
  11. The only league Dundee United top is sacking Managers. How is Levein coping this week after a 5-1 home gubbing? Sorry to hear your boys were too weak for the Cup match.

Darren Dods is an extremely decent person. For some time both Bobby Mann and Darren have put their careers before their immediate families. ICT supporters hope he extends his stay and wish Dundee United all the best. We have the utmost respect for your Chairman's medical condition and wish him well. Football has to be seen in the true perspective.
  14. Well that game is consigned to history because we now have to start working very hard for the Stirling game. Stirling have been on a great run recently - 10 straight wins - so with our stuttering Cup form it's time for real graft over 90 minutes. Lose that and we have Aberdeen, Hibs and Celtic. Time for Denzil and Dargo to start scoring regularly and Bayne to find the net more regularly.
  15. Even more important, Denzil scores his first of many in 2007. And even more stunning, Black was not booked.

Denzil came to us from Aberdeen and hit a barren spell. Then primarily with Paul Richie he scorred lots of goals. The good news for us is that when he breaks out he will score bags of goals again. Be patient. Denzil will not let us down and the signs are one good break and he'll be off again.
  17. Having just returned home I remember Cloughie grabbing Kennie Burns by the nads and turning him into a top class well disciplined player. Perhaps Pele with his experience of delinquent bahaviour could get to the root of Black's persistent problem but I have to sympathise with Charlie and Donald. Two weeks ago I suspect Black was warned about his shirt throwing at Dunfermline and in my view he was at times very visionary and creative against Rangers. Nevertheless he fell foul of immaturity with his booking. Only he can grow up. Only he can understand why he has learned bad behaviour although certain managers or advisers could gradually strike out and improve the problem areas. Maybe a course of hypnosis could turn him into a more rounded individual of great value to the Club. Who would be a football manager?

....oh and by the way it is Caley, not Cally, not Caleidh and certainly not Kayleigh. Enjoy! If I were you I would invest your winnings on Falkirk beating us this Saturday 2-0 and St Mirren doing the double over us.

Don't put money on a treble when we return to Ibrox - Rangers will definitely be looking for revenge again.

When we beat Celtic in the cup everyone predicted a big humping by Celtic but Barry ignored the script. Tonight many preople are predicting a big humping so your money may be a wise investment especially if Denzil starts scoring again and Bayne plays like he normally does agaianst Rangers - most of his goals (2 that is) have been against Rangers. Here's hoping we'll be dancing in the Streets of Caledonia tronight.
  21. Long live the Highland spirit - add the word 'fight'. Delete the word 'fickle'. Aberdeen for quite a few years could not get away from the bottom but have risen again. Inverness will rise again and heros will emerge.
  22. No fixtures at home in February if we lose to Stirling or get through and get an way tie without a replay. Life could be worse, we could be Ross County or Elgin City supporters!
  23. 5 years ago the thought of Inverness hosting Glasgow Rangers in a new stadium in a televised Boxing Day fixture was an absolute dream. Let us not forget our roots, let us be grateful that Father Christmas has looked after us.
  24. Sensible article. Realism from a leader. Now get behind him and the team regardless of current form.
  25. Santa says do you want Winning isn't everything by Craig Brewster Winning isn't everything by George Burley Five straight wins, no goals against by Charlie Christie and Wee Donald
