St Johnstone
Ideally St Johnstone win Saturday with Clyde sneaking a draw at Gretna and Ross County not cast adrift. Then on the final day with Ross County and Gretna both needing a win with St Johnstone and Airdrie winning they play out a boring 0-0 draw and both screw up.

GREAT QUOTES 2006/07
From Jailender.com who also on 13 March after a resounding victory over Hamilton felt confident enough to state 'As the crowd stay on to applaud the players from the park, the tannoy blasted out the Monkeys “I’m a Believer”. And if the team can carry this performance on in the remaining games of the season I believe we will beat the drop and retain our place in the first division.' Gus McPherson's quotes could become interesting: 'St Mirren manager Gus MacPherson claims the Buddies' return to the Bank of Scotland Premier League this season has been everything he expected it to be - only quicker than anticipated.......the Paisley side took the rest of the league by surprise by winning three and drawing one of their first six SPL matches. '

GREAT QUOTES 2006/07
Correct. Now for a harder one. I will give you a clue. This person once said 'We're top of the league, and you're no!' County trailed at half time following a Stuart McAffery goal, but a further two goal in the second half from Dennis Wyness and Richie Heart meant there was no way back for County. County still have a coupe of weeks before the season starts in earnest, but this result will be a set back as the team prepares for an assault on the first division.

GREAT QUOTES 2006/07
As the season comes to an end we can again reflect cautiously on Mr Spiers prediction that he would eat his hat if... So who said this and about whom was he speaking? 'We think we've brought a real leader who is strong, determined and honest' The strong bit is fine, the determined bit is true but how will he explain the last bit given the current situation?

£600,000
CaleyD the ICT money goes back into the Common Good Fund. Eden Court's money will come from a different source so £600k = £600k is a bit of an illusion and fair game for conspiracy theories.

Ross County play in a Micky Mouse league where the rules are different.

THE GINGER ONE WILL BE SUSPENDED
After the headbut and kung fu kick on Saturday me thinks both the ginger one and Dods (will not regain his place) will miss the Tannadice decider. Ironic really!

RANGERS V ICT - matchday thread
Presumably the Rangers fans left early because they only have a few safe songs to sing and were getting bored. I have to say Murray should have imposed his will on the place at the start, not now it is causing lost revenue. That aside, in the history of ICT, this will go down as the year we had three amazing results against Rangers. Next year we will have to find a new record.

Post Split Matches
In past seasons we always played the Champions at home on the last day. Given Gus McPherson's euphoria at beating us in the first game of the season, I am sure the boys would like to see the trap door open and St Mirren plummit back to oblivion. Our last game could be fun.

vs Falkirk
You are the inspiration our Chief Executive has spent nearly two years looking for.

Total Respects to Darren Dods - but Goodbye.
Inverness act with dignity and that has to be one of our strongest virtues when attracting players. We do not want to waste another £180,000 ( we 'lost' £250,000 on the Parkhead replay) by sliding down the table. However, looking back on the season, the Darren Dods factor has pschologically played a part in some of our underlying results. Other factors such as the lack of a regular goalscorer has not helped. We therefore should start planning for next year's survival bid and from that point of view may need to take difficult decisions.

Players who've scored on their debut for ICT
We have not really acknowledged the goal scored by Marcus on his full debut. Exceptionally well done. How many other ICT players have achieved this?

Hooking of Blackie
Just to correct Caley 100 regarding the Celtic game - Charlie did not hook Blackie by choice. 10 minutes before he came off he asked to come off because he was exhausted. Charlie managed to extract another 10 minutes out of a completely spent player. From the radio commentary and knowing who the referee was yesterday, it is surprising that Black was not sent off. As everyone knows, and Strathclyde Police are perhaps a bit stricter on this, inciting the Crowd is potentially a breach of the peace. Jan Vennegor of Hessle etc was sent off at Inverness because referees are under strict orders from the police on health and safety matters. That aside, Black seemed to engage in unnecessary altercations after getting booked so that it is a great credit to Charlie after being criticised last week for fan comments, that publicly he came out and supported Black. I suspect privately he will get a good kick up the proverbial on Monday. We can but hope wee Donald has the same ability as Cloughie who turned Kenny Burns career around.

Well Done Rory
I have faith in Rory and have for a long time predicted he would be an outstanding player. He is a natural goalscorer and at some stage will start knocking in goals. I recall he was still not signed up on a long deal so hope this is in hand.

Who do you want to win?
We play Dunfermline at home in a weeks time and sooner or later their luck could turn. If we pull off the big one and beat Killie we must then not underestimate Dunfermline. So which is the better result - a Dunfermline or a St Mirren win tomorrow? My preference is for a St Mirren win because it will demoralise Dunfermline for their trip north.

Forget today, we must beat Killie
The sentiments of IMMORTAL KINGSMILLS PARK are being considered in the context of changing my logon to Killie1Caley2!

Forget today, we must beat Killie
Gordy, it has to be the most important game in our history because we have never finished in the top 6. Yesterday was the second most important game in our history. The rest of our achievements are all history and we cannot like Celtic live on the night in Lisbon nostalgia for decades. The players and supporters have to believe in the same way we did when we went to Clyde and clawed our way back into the title race. Barry showed he believed yesterday after his massive disappointment against Celtic. Now everybody else must believe and for Caff his SPL career went into hibernation at Killie when he was unfairly sent off. His career could be resurrected for a similar reason if he plays out of his skin next Saturday until the 95th or 96th minute or whenever the man in black blows his whistle.

Forget today, we must beat Killie
Celtic is history, Robson and his merry men are history, all we need to focus on for just under 7 days is improving our disappointing away form and beat the odds and beat Killie. They have a cup final to worry about. We have Motherwell and a chasing pack to worry about catching Killie. Let's do it! Probably the most important game in our history.

ICT V DUFC - matchday thread
The ref bottled sending off Kalvenes.

Dods request
It's only a pre-contract agreement and I suspect it has little value in a European Court if challenged. So Dodsy tear it up and play for us for two more years.
-
Intertoto Cup
We have one immediate target and that is to beat Dundee United. Do that and we must beat Kilmarnock away. Then we can make a decision. So get behind the team again this Saturday because a top 6 finish is still possible but very much at the margin. ICT like to do things the hard way.

Charlie comments on Rory McAllister
Rory has scored just about the same number of goals as Kenny Miller in less games methinks this season.
-
Craig Dargo
Craig was at the game Sunday signing autographs for a few fans and I suspect he was gutted at missing the game. Anyone who has played the game knows it's an addiction and the problem is normally playing when you are injured but desperate to play. Craig is committed player.

Morgan
Loan him to Forfar, die his hair ginger, get Docters to extract whinging from his temperament, and we could have the perfect left winger ready to sell to Dundee United.
