Pre-Season & Charlton away (merged)
Do tell! does it involve alcohol or shagging? Knowing IHE, probably both. Simultaneously.

Discrimination
I wouldn't want to condone singing pro IRA songs anywhere, never mind at our ground but I had to feel sorry for the young lad who was unsuccessfully prosecuted last season for just that. The guy had sung the same song without challenge for years, but his real mistake was to wear a white tee shirt and be visible enough to single out to Police Officers who the Sherrif labelled "unreliable" in some of their evidence. The fans post trial comments that it had been "the worst year of his life" rang true. Don's as right as the Dundee Sherrif who reckoned the Legislation "mince". It's simply there to further demonise footie fans of all hues and it does need to be challenged - but only if you know what you are getting in to and are prepared to take on that fight. Instead of mourning that the age of banter is past,or getting into bother, write to your MSP and tell them - forcibly- that they have got this one wrong. Who knows, then it might change.

New Away Strip
No. It's "a cracker!" I think I'll mosey down later and get one in time to make an erse of myself (again) at football this week. Ach well.

Discrimination
We were specifically requested not to use that term because we had been warned by the Police that they would prosecute if they could prove that any of our fans had used it. They would have charged people under the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications Act (Scotland) 2012 and it was sensible to warn people of the possible consequences of this. As luck would have it, The Police were putting their faith in an increasingly discredited and in its self quite discriminatory bit of Legislation that has survived no real legal challenge to it. It has failed and it merely reinforces the fact that the majority of chants at football matches are banter and need to be taken this way - a fact recognised by football fans but sadly not by the po faced PC Legislators and their overly keen enforcers. The SFA slant is put forward by Stewart Reagan, who stresses that "Scotland does not have huge issues in this area" but then says "But we still have that unacceptable behaviour. It still goes on. We know that clubs try their very best, particularly with sectarian issues, but when you've got 10,000 people behaving in a way they shouldn't, then you ask what more can be done". If you are talking about 10K + suppports continually being offensive in a sectarian way, there are only two Clubs in Scotland that have that kind of support and "history", and both reside in Glasgow. I suspect that in joining the po faced, Mr Regan's rules will be just as legally dubious as the Law, but I would say that if there need to be rules governing Celtic (especially the green brigade) and Rangers and their "assembly", then have the cojones to come out and say it. Leave the rest of us to banter that does not harm to anyone, because sectarianism just doesn't interest us.

Great piece of news, even better piece of business. I suspect we've yet to see the best of him.

Missing out a "blessing".
This is not true. I've talked about Europe with Kenny Cameron (and other members of the Board) and at no time did anyone hint that that they didn't want Europe, never mind say it. They were making tentative plans to sort out the logistics of fulfilling any fixture we might have qualified for, including transport arrangements and how to fund them. There was no point that I witnessed Terry say it was "a blessing" that we did not qualify in any of the media interviews that I lugged into after the game on Saturday. He did say that the Club wasn't really geared up for Europe but if you asked St Johnstone, they would say exactly the same thing. They still wouldn't swop it for anything and neither would we if we qualified. The stuff about "the chairman only cares about the money" is the kind of quote that you can get from any manager across the Leagues at any time. Its a bit sad that one day one from the best display from our fans that I or most others can remember, this unfounded conspiracy theory stuff comes out.

The inquest
WE finished behind the runaway leaders, an undisputed second best side and then a St Johnstone side that it was almost impossible to seperate us from (results wise) all Season. we are where we are an its probably around the right place.

The inquest
This makes my blood boil. This ICT team has improved immeasurably this year and has eclipsed teams like Aberdeen and dundee United and It's because the other teams are poor? really? We have improved because we brought in better players, played better football and beat teams that were previously able to match us simply because we had got better in a league where the football has been of a better standard than many previous years. And if you could tell me what this "souness revolution" was, I'd be happy.

Ross County -V- ICT
What utter rubbish. I could count at least four occasions when ICT players were haranguing their colleagues because passes or shots didn'y come off. There might have been a lack of quality in the important parts of the team or in crucial arteas of the pitch but there was no ICT player who either "bottled it" or didn't care and was a "passenger". Cheap post.

Sunday sees the final game of Caley Thistle’s best ever season, and if you don’t know where it is or what’s at stake you must have been in the space station with that Canadian chap. Tickets for our end are selling like hot cakes as you would imagine, people are buzzing and the game is being broadcast on Sky. It’s as high as profile gets in Scotland. We are on course for Europe with a win, so please wear your holiday costumes. Anyone who has a sombrero please feel free to dig it out of the cupboard and wear the thing. There will be inflatables and beach balls for all. If we don’t qualify we will be disappointed but we can still celebrate our most successful season ever. Of course having a party doesn’t imply going daft. Please - no pyrotechnics, no chanting about you know what’s and please try not to lob either yourself or anything else on the pitch whilst people are running about on it. And no streaking for God’s sake - it's only May. The Council have decided that no licenced premises will be open in Dingwall before the game, so if you are there early (especially off the train) please respect the locals and the fact that their places of worship will be open before ours is. At least the Caley Club in Greig Street will be open after the game and there will be a ceilidh band playing - Full Tilt Brian tells me, and hopefully it sounds like grounds for celebration. Brian also tells me that bus tickets are on sale at the Caley Club on Saturday between 2 and 3 - get down there and buy them so you won't be disappointed. I know that, banter aside, our rivals will wish us all the best if we qualify for Europe on Sunday and I’ll take this opportunity to congratulate them on a magnificent first SPL season. Both sides will have a support that does the Highlands proud on Sunday, we’re sure of that. The nation will be watching, so let's show them how to have a good time. Davie Balfour Caley Jags Together

Team For Dingwall FC
What, Madrid fans coming all the way for this game? Impressive There are a few Real Madrid fans that come to most games of ours. They've been to ibrox and celtic park with us and appear to have enjoyed their time with us. Can't imagine what they'll make of Kilmarnock though. What's spanish for "the scheme"?

Europe:- The Final Countdown
Why - we go to Dundee and that is a HOVEL!!! HOI! Cheeky wee sod. I might suggest that Kazaghstan would be a cracking place to go. Certainly no worse than the hulltoon or whitfield

Europe:- The Final Countdown
All in our own hands now. Don't think I have ever been so full of nervous anticipation for an ICT game.

ICT -V- Motherwell
that was quite a stunning game of footie. Just had a night out with a couple of gers fans who were telling me how poor the SPL was this year. Destroyed, so they were. Crowd could have been better, but crap, nah. There was little or nothing to be dosappointed about today but if you want to (potentially) be part of history, it might be a good idea to get your erse to Caley Park next week. Tell them davie sent you. Would get my erse down to 'Caley Park' next week but I really don't need any electrical goods. Think I'll go down the Longman instead to watch a game of football which may be of historical significance. Last time I looked the park was called the Tulloch Caledonian (Caley) Stadium much as you kingsmills folk don't like it. This is a tongue in cheek comment (no icons on iPad) ....lol Ach, you know what I mean. The inappropriate abbreviated term was caused purely by beer and ok, lots of gin.I get the feeling that, call it what you like, we'll both be in the same place next week.
