  1. Is this broken record back on again? Johndo what does this actually mean? It was a bad day for everyone, not just Butcher. He got it wrong. Team got it wrong, those who didn't bother to turn up got it wrong. You can't blame one man (refer back to your blaming the players and crowd remark) no matter your palpable dislike for the guy. Change the record - your far more interesting when you do.
  2. yep think it says that too ! but in a strange sounding way! That's exactly what I thought too. Thanks for the interpretation manfer.
  3. Real game of two halves, although I think you have to give McGlynn credit for the changes he made at half time. He replaced two more offensive midfielders with two more defensive ones and flooded the midfield. We couldn't then play through them the way that we did in the first half, and the longer ball was then inevitable. With the height of Webster and Zaliuskas, Hearts were always going to cope better. We should have been out of sight at half time but us being p*ssed at this result just shows how far we have come. Roberts didn't play well today, but his overall progress is good - the Gnakpa comment is harsh. Motherwell are due a roasting up here, and I think that this is just the team to do it.
  4. We are third in the league, in cup semi, playing our best ever football, brimful of confidence and have a real opportunity to put down a real marker here. I believe that if we win this one, we will go undefeated against C*unty for the rest of the season. There is absolutely no reason to be nervous about this one. #foreverinourshadow. That is all.
  5. Has to be #forever in our shadow. They really can't stand that.
  6. Look forward to risk assessing jambos on saturday....."good guy, w*nk, good guy, w*nk, w*nk, good guy" Something along these lines.
  7. On paper Wallace, Shiels and Black would be the only players i'd take from their team. Would Wallace get a game ahead of Shinnie? on present form; no chance. Knowing what Blackie can bring to a team he may squeeze onto the team sheet ahead of OTJ but Draper is first name on the team sheet for me at the moment. Shiels vs McKay, another tough choice. Probably go for Shiels TBH Eh? Black showed last night exactly what he can bring to a game. Long before the end he was reduced to the nasty, sniping vindictive little individual that he is. Ahead of OTJ? You are having a laugh. Sheils, er no. Just no.
  8. poor wee chizzer.
  9. I saw Tony with blood on his head right enough. Hope you're OK boy. There was a level of animosity which makes me awfully glad we don't have to go back there this year. After the first 20 mins, there was only one team going to win this. They were always going to come out of the traps flying but when we settled we played them off the park. OTJ and both Shinnies were immense but MOTM for me was David Raven. I think we're seeing now what he can do, and it's almost as impressive as Terry's full time celebrations. Make no mistake, this was a potential banana skin and I'm still buzzing.
  10. Oh dear. I think that this is simply indicative of the hostility that we can expect tonight as there is little doubt that we are to blame for the rangers current predicament. The club is as convinced of this as the OP, their ticketing strategy for tonight seems to be to earn enough income from the game to cover costs, and release the vast bulk of tickets as complimentaries. This ensures that they don't have to share any gate receipts with us, and that will properly punish us. Of course, if our small club status and precarious financial situation (after all, we should be out of business already) means that we do suffer, all the better because we deserve it. Of course none of this is accurate or true, and I can see that. If evidence arises that changes the picture, I will make judgements according to the weight of that evidence. But the rangers? they continue to bully, intimidate, manipulate the truth and scapegoat others for a situation that was truly of their own design and which predicated liquidation. That, my friend the OP, is bigotry.

Bottom line is that we need more bums on seats, and on Saturday I think anyone could have reasonably expected more to turn up. Smee, the movie analogy doesn't work. Any blockbuster movie (or any globally famous band) has a far greater reach than us, and can set the ticket price knowing that they will get millions buying the product. Comparing a one off ticket price for a concert that would last for an couple of hours to a season or so's worth of football, is curious in its logic. With the greatest of respect to you, for ICT that ain't never going to work. Reduce the prices and the figures just don't stack up. There is a case to say that the match day experience could be better and therefore offer more value, but price deduction, no. There is, by the way, an amazing amount of work going on by the club and others to improve the experience; the football's better, the league is more compeditive, fans are more involved. Maybe you might want to add your ideas.
  12. Personally I don't miss them and I for one won't be degrading myself to attend the bigot fest at Ibrox for the up and coming cup tie Dougal I will be at the match and I don't intend to degrade my self either Capital I'm partial to a bit of degrading, but not on wednesdays. I'll be at the game though.

wonder how long it is till CaleyD changes his sig to "vindicated erse licking happy clapper"
  14. There have, so far only been positives as far as I can see. TV income is pretty well unaffected this year and may well continue to be so. Sky and ESPN are wakening up to the fact that the SPL is still a marketable product without the OF fixture. Our gates are not affected by Rangers not being in the SPL, they are down across the board, with the exception of the RC game which drew a better crowd than we might have expected against Rangers. Celtic's displays in the CL (so far) indicate that they are unaffected in their ability to play at a "higher" level and other teams results aginst them (e.g. St Johnstone) don't indicate a lack of competition - in fact this looks like the tightest SPL (and the tightest SFL D3) in years. Their crowds have brought a lot of income to SFL D3, and should continue to do so even though they have to put up with odd protestant supremacist bampot and even they seem to be being brought to book more regularly than before. There's also the fact that, after an initial fear fest the mainstream media seem to have lessened their fixation with Rangers and so their CE needs to regularly court publicity with his pronouncements. The fans seem less susceptible to their "here's tae us, wha's like us" attitude although there's still some that can't help themselves. We're not dead yet, in fact this year feels quite good - not at all what the doctor told us when the diagnosis was terminal 2 months ago!

Happy birthday boy. Didn't realise you were a comparative youngster.

He's welcome here, I'll tell you. Get yourselves up here for a game - you can fly up from Bristol.
  17. Hear Deek Adams saying after the hibs game that they were "by far the better team in the derby" and had "many more opportunities to score" I don't know what game he was at. Erse.
  18. I reckon Roberts just got tired, the pace of the game here is a world away from what he's used to. Agree with IHE though, we never really looked as if we could lose this game despite Dundee having a lot of the ball for long spells. We certainly could'nt sustain the pace of the first 10 minutes - if we could we'd be Barca. I thought Shinnie, A. was MOTM by a country mile. Great feet, great awareness and he can finish. Fabulous.
  19. Yes. Without a doubt. We'll sit down with the club as soon as we can and rearrange a date, and build a training schedule around that to give ourselves the maximum chance we can. All of those who signed up for the original game get "first dibs" on any rearranged date. I'll be in touch.

Don It's possible because he had better chemists than the anti-doping authorities, he had better lawyers than them, he had political clout AND he had effectively bought the governing body (the UCI) The UCI have had a poisitive sample from Armstrong from years ago, which they suppressed. The code of silence that Armstrong and his contemporaries connived with throughout the 90's ensured that no one was going to break ranks. It's just bullying. This isn't smoke, by the way - it's a conflgration and as a cyclist it makes me puke.
  21. Please note as per the other topic, this game is POSTPONED. New date to be arranged.
