Supporters Trust Statement on The Threat of Administration
bdu98196 replied to ICT Supporters Trust's topic in Caley Thistle
However for not it feels like we have 2 options 1. get a bucket of water and try prolong the inevitable 2. let it burn then start again Option 3 doesnt appear on the horizon - Fire brigade arrive and there is minimal damage -
Still have hope that now the windows are closed and seasons underway that some of the free agents out there who had higher expectations than Scottish League One will be re-evaluating options to get back in the game. Fingers crossed that we might get some quality out to prove themselves in even if its short term drawn by the profile of Dunc and The Caley (see Wortherspoon last season for example)

Supporters - We want more fan & community involvement in whats happening - club needs to do more Club - Lets get fans to design the commemorative 30 year badge, get some involvement Supporters - New badge looks ****, who the **** decided on that *sigh*

That loss last wk to Annan has really damaged the plan to go unbeaten by drawing all 36 league games
-
Much like last wk, I'm going all out and predicting a 1-1 draw. Caley to go ahead only to conceded late on after dominating the game. Expect plenty sad tears from players who are still bitter about having to live in the central belt and opt for Kelty after the dream possibility of turning out for the divisions big team was snatched away. Only winner from this one is Fife council.
-
If you aren't behaving like a **** then it's an absolute irrelevance and doesn't change anything for your day out experience.
-
Thrilling 1-1 in store with gardyne ejected from the stands for waving his willie at the home supporters when we collapse and let Montrose equalise in the last 10mins after huffing and puffing after an early lead. Prove me wrong!!!
-
Exactly this. In around all the fanfare and excitement there may still be movements which surprise some and may not be overly welcomed before stability can be built but perhaps better received given the proponent is 'one of our own'.
-
I'm more surprised that people consider reading anything 'The Sun' publish and that we are looking at leaders of any large business as being moral compasses who consider integrity & ethics above profits & portfolios.

Other than the 2k fans (a percentage of whom no longer even reside in the HC area) would there actually be any real objections if it went to public consultation within the city for a change of use especially if its bringing higher incomes to the council? Its prime industrial land with direct links to the A9 avoiding any traffic through built up areas, easy access to the harbour avoiding urban areas. With GEG expanding in Nigg and ongoing works at Ardisier port there isnt many prime coastal locations with the direct infrastructure (for others that want into that space) - also is additional land around the stadium open for deals (traveler site/HC yards etc) through Highland Council? Throw potential Free port expansion, and terms such venture capitalists with the existing board members signing over shares (which you would assume have caveats) and back slapping for the Highland Council, I think the bigger concern will be which geographical location will we be playing at in a few years and where will HC allow a smaller, low cost ICT hub to be built (if the club even exists which I'm not sure many of the stakeholders involved will even care about if the returns are significant)

Cant wait for this thread to cover the usual territory of no hopers and tedious ICT connections..........be easier to just add a link to previous threads If Dunc goes given our financial positions its likely your new manager is already at the club in Bollan - whether anyone likes it or not
-
We won't be playing Premiership teams every week, thankfully we can take solace from the fact the rest of our seaside league compatriates are crap too going by results.
-
Combination of over hyped, injury prone and falling victim to joining the OF not because they wanted his talents bit to weaken opposition teams leaving him rotting away in hid prime years. Sure there's plenty others with similar trajectories sadly.
-
Thoughts with his family and friends. Not a person id met in person but clearly the definition of a stalwart fan and will be missed with his contribution on here and throughout.
-
Noted, but your position may not be the same for others. For some the social and economic situation wituin society there may be less stigma using the current club issues as reasons not to return rather than costs. For others simply seaside leagues and lower levels do not appeal (other entertainment options or pressures provide perceived betrer value) - when we dropped from prem to champ there was a fall in attendance so why is it unrealistic to expect the same? Simply my point is that you now will never be able to attribute the drop in attendance to any single factor however it will mostly be spun as due to Gardiner which may or may not be the reality.
-
No but likely the club will have paid accommodation and relocation along with salary and any other support, so as a complete package his monthly outlay to the club may be better transitioned elsewhere if its one out and more than one coming in.
-
Where are we covering the that a seaside leagues caley doesn't appeal that much but off-field events just provide a useful narrative to stay away?
-
No but Scot Gardiner of course. Just don't think seeing a seaside level caley is appealing to that many in reality.
-
Don't know anything about him but hope he's better than the last striker we took from falkirk as he was dug meat
-
I expect attendance to drop as we progress and more fan melt downs blaming everyone when we sit mid table and it's evident the squad depth isnt deep and most of our youngsters aren't good enough or ready for this level. Fingers crossed Brooks or Cairns might get us goals because I'm not sure Billy will otherwise it'll be closer to the bottom than the top.

This has been a slow downward spiral for almost 10 years starting with a failure to develop and capitalise on successes culminating in a Scottish Cup and European football. Not looking at sustainable finances at that point and seeking investment and sponsors when our stock was high to then subsequent CEOs making incorrect choices. Cameron and Rae are equally culpable in this mess which has only been escalated by poor on field results and bad decisions through to the current regime.

First obviously then we can walk out to 'the family ness' theme tune please

Not just that (in his day job i guess), he's a sales agent for a retailer of garden products. Helped me arrange the delivery of a summer house last year. Very helpful and can't fault his customer service or politeness.
-
Sorted. No offence meant.

Allegedly, it's all claims and bluster. Let's wait before getting too excited and see what percentage of the public claims actually are followed through.
