  1. Tbf I'd sti question whether 2 of the listed forwards are actually even options at all and will only still be here as they are injured so probably can't be shifted on.
  2. Reality is though he only plays 50% of games so technically in terms of value is costing twice what a player with better fitness does. Couple that with being in his 30s and probably leaving end of season it's a gamble being made which will hopefully allow some fresh quality to come in.
  3. This. We have such lack of quality and depth the drop off between first team starters and the bench is possibly the biggest gap I can recall. So little options to change or turn a game.
  4. Been a great servant and probably played all his best football with us including winning the Scottish cup. Given the criticism during his spells at Partick and Dunfermline he's proven a shrewd return.
  5. Thats a very good point and probably carries significant validity, a question is though while the ideas are good and in some ways innovative is the current administration the correct or most experienced and competent to execute or do egos get in the way of bringing in experts and consultants to assist?
  6. Lets just see what come in with the available money and how QP get on after the new manager 'bounce' wears off and Welsh is back injured only playing less than 50% of the games.
  7. Wonder if the colour of our opponents tops (home or away) will impact the CEO's mood more than the end result?
  8. Missed that announcement - just assumed he was one of the perma-crocks or lurking in the shadows waiting the next injury crisis
  9. Good player on his day but too unreliable in terms of fitness. Never seem to get a good run of games form him. 120 appearances in almost 6 years back that up. Clearly shows Dunc is trying to tidy up whats in house - removing high earners perhaps who arent giving value or those not at the level required. Doran next along with Lodivica, Samuels, Ram
  10. Expext unsettled big names heading from Saudi Pro League later this window then?
  11. Probably several reasons, the main one being we have little money so are waiting on loans which will depend on parent clubs conducting business or we need to play 'the game' of holding fast for released or experienced pro's who didnt get the offers they expected so will reluctantly come to us as last resort - Wortherspoon for example.
  12. I'm no SG or RM fan (far from it and would happily see them put under heavy pressure and challenging questioning), however the difficulty given the lack of communication and transparency is that we don't know what the expectations or objectives are within the club as a whole or for individuals. Therefore while we all look in thinking its a 'sh1t show' there may be a case that SG is meeting the boards expectations and they are happy with his performance and contributions with the issues around fan engagement & communication not actually being considered important to anyone.
  13. Will be no different to Shinnie when he played against Aberdeen after signing a PCA and plenty others from our past. If we are paying his wages this week and he is fit, then I'm hoping Dunc will expect him to be professional and play - we cant afford to pay our best talent to sit out games especially given the dearth of quality we have.
  14. Maybe you wont have long to wait and we will find out on Friday night when Dundee Hibernian visit?
  15. Whys it a con? The seats are sold, they can't be resold so whether empty on the day or not its still a ticket sale and that person is entitled to turn up or otherwise.
  16. Top 4 is optimistic but as ever its a tight league so a good run and decent signings we are probably around a similar level to everyone excluding DUtd, PT and RR. From an entertainment perspective beating Morton last game of the regular season in a winner takes all shoot out for 4th would be pleasing before getting back to winning ways against Raith in the play-off semi would be hilarious. Especially as fans from both teams seem intent on gloating about how impressive they are this season.......suppose if you're starved of success for generations a few wins in the lower leagues is a bight beacon.
  17. George Oakley perhaps.........oh hang on

  19. Negative parking the bus tactics like we saw from Morton in Inverness on Sat and head to Airdrie to play the same disciplined way for a point. Not pretty but if thats what this league is becoming with the away teams all looking for a draw lets follow suit - afterall a point is better than a defeat as shown by most (not all teams in this league) drawing almost 1/3 of their games so far this season.
  20. I heard in the pub that if the league table was done based on peak height of the coaching team we would have moved from the foot of the table to the top.
  21. Start of this years Hampden journey and good chance to divert attention from the 'tiresome' battery farm chat through giving these butchers, bakers and candlestick makers the level of skudding expected by an elite team with rich pedigree in this competition. Full strength home team to score plenty goals and build confidence please
  22. Reads like a statement that would have benefited being written by solicitors and technical experts in the field. Positive though that our board are at least willing to try new ideas.
  23. Exactly. Great chance for some players to bang in goals (which this season have been lacking) and build confidence.
