Good one with the Paps of Jura. Here are a couple from 2006 the Shapinsay and Graemsay from Orkney.
  13. Here is one Mantis should get although it is a wee bit before he was born, the buildings have not changed much over the years.
  14. Ah that was a sneaky one that house will be number 18 which will have a great view of the town. I have been in the one next door number 20 which was split into 4 flats and now has a house in the grounds. John Aird who was a solicitor with Anderson Shaw and Gilbert had one of the upstairs ones. The cars are the first Mercedes A Class and that might be your Citeron Xantia.
  15. Who would have predicted us winning the Scottish Cup. Happy days indeed

  21. I did know it but was out clapping for the NHS and he bet me to it Now on to his I don't know right now but I will have a look every so often and see if it rings a bell
  22. You were correct dumpmaster Mantis was struggling but not asking for more clues. It was last owned by Roderick Sterling who sold it and moved to Arcan Mains but he still run the estate. My grandfather worked in the sawmill there from the early 50's until 1975 when he retired so I know the estate very well. There was a recent report that Fairburn Tower which is a ruin could be rebuilt and that is where the Brahan Seer said that a calf would be born in the top of the tower and it was! Here is a link to Fairburn Estate which has been updated since I last looked there are some good photos. https://fairburn-estate.co.uk/
  23. No not Rosehaugh where my great uncle was the last head gardner before the house was demolished. This one is still standing and in use.
  24. There is a strong link between the estate and the Brahan Seer.
