  5. To save you going all the way along the A965 from Kirkwall to Stromness on google Streetview he is at the junction Deepdale Branch Road.
  6. Thought that might be a bit hard, it is in Orkney on the A965 No in Orkney.
  7. A good result today the second goal was a long time coming but felt Dunfermline would not come back then. Will be another tough one next week!

    The refits are not usually done in summer for the North Isles either so it may have diverted for another reason. I have never cut peats so can't comment on that! Here's the Northlink boat (Hamnavoe) in it's previous colours in Stromness.

    The St Sunniva sailed from Aberdeen to Lerwick but would cover when the St Ola was away for refit sailing from Scrabster to Stromness. I think it might be at Stromness before the harbour was re-developed it is not St margarets Hope. The second one is the Iona.
  17. That's it taken from the Pentalina leaving Gills Bay. I will have to think about your one!
  18. I have never been there but as weeman said he would have remembered it if he had seen it. I have seen a picture of it somewhere and remembered it

    The ex Cal-Mac Claymore replaced the Pentalina B. There is a book about Pentland Ferries, called Pentland Hero by Roy Pederson about and is worth a read.

    The pier at Gills Bay was extended to enable larger vessels to dock by towing a floating dock to Gills and sinking it in place then filling it up over the next few years.

    Pentland Ferries first vessel Pentalina B which was the ex Cal-Mac Iona which was 40 years old rolling a bit in the swell at Gills Bay.
