  1. Good report, we could have had more goals if we had a decent striker just hope Anier will be an improvement on what we have.
  2. It's on Scarlet's BBC report 3624
  3. 3624 if I counted correctly
  4. Good report Scarlet I see Richie's beard has grown again since this afternoon
  5. Elginloon it's away past your bedtime if you want to see the game tomorrow
  6. Speed on the attack, just wait till we unleash Mulraney on the wing
  7. Keep the photos coming Second Row although CB might steal them for his new book..........Against All Odds Vol 2 The Building of the Eastgate Centre
  8. Charles that one is taken from the south end of Academy St with the buildings behind the car park being Eastgate as it is now and the Crown above, just out of shot to the right will be the Jacobite Booking Office shown in the other picture. Second Row is getting us going here
  9. Looking forward to our first game in 2017 its been a long month so far, we should have a good away support all we need is a good win!
  10. That is a surprise the Ford Anglia would have been 11 years old in 1978 must have had a lot of welding done to pass an MOT! I don't remember that buildings on the east side of Hamilton Street, were the ones in the picture demolished to make way for the new road out towards Millburn?
  11. Another good photo I would say from about 1970 going by the cars the early Ford Escort at the front, Hillman Imp and Ford Anglia in the middle of car park. The photo must have been taken from upstairs in the Station Hotel.
  12. Welcome to the forum producing a much clearer copy of the photo than the one IHE produced (stolen from somewhere) I was right with the ones before ( From the Ford Transit heading in the old Eastgate, Renault 9, Datsun, Morris 1800, Morris Marina van, Rover 2000, Daf 66 (I think), Morris Marina & Austin Maxi heading east.) From the Land Rover in the car park, Austin 1100, Vauxhall Victor (I think), Sunbeam Talbot, the one to the right of the bus shelter looks like a Ford Taunus, Mk 3 Cortina, Morris Marina & Hillman Avenger. Others behind are Mk2 Cortina estate, Sunbeam Alpine, Renault 9, VW Golf Mk1, On right white Renault 4 with Austin Alegro behind and black one top right is a Fiat 124. In the middle there are Triumph Tolledo, Vauxhall Viva & Cavalier and Ford Granada's. The D series Ford van looks like Halley but don't recall them. The important one that I missed before is parked along Eastgate at the junction of Hamilton Street is the Bedford TK570 British Telecom jointers van like I had at that time. The back doors are closed so that would indicate the jointer was working along the street or in the back with the kettle on . If I was a really boring old fart I would have kept my work diaries and could have checked if it was me If you have any other old local photos it would be good to see them on here.
