  1. Might as well add in Ian Black!
  2. My thoughts as well and it was Barry Wilson! No mention of under 3000 in Perth today
  3. I think it may still be the reserve ferry there although that photo was taken a number of years ago.
  4. Yes Charles you are right, but a new station should be built to the east of Morrisons and the present one should be demolished and become the new bus station incorporating a taxi rank. The entrance could be the present one to the rear of the station and exit through station square. The old memorial could be moved to Farraline Park and sit nicely in front of the library which could become civic square. Just dreaming again
  5. Not a baker but Roddy Wood worked in Burnetts which was taken over by British Bakeries from leaving school till he retired. He was an officer in the Army Cadets but where was this photo taken?
  6. Just a guess Morris Commercial, did you drive one of them? 2 Vauxhall Viva HA's and one passing in the street, Hillman Minx, Daimler Sovereign and front of Austin 1100.
  7. Gutted I can't watch it. It doesn't work here in France. The video stream has not started yet. (I hope) Mine not started yet either, waiting patiently!
  8. You have cracked it Charles! What was confusing me was where the canal was but now I see, I think the steps going down the river bank are still there today just outside the Columba Hotel.
  9. Cortina Mk3 estate, Triumph Dolomite & another Cortina (I think) heading in Eastgate. Austin 11/1300, Triumph Dolomite, Volvo P180 estate, Ford Escort, Hillman Huskey, VW Beetle, Bedford HA & Dormobile, cant make out the rest. Have a good trip IHE.
  10. What a great photo, my guess is Torvean where the golf course is now taken from Tomnahurich hill but don't know if there was ever any houses there! Is that washing drying on the canal bank?
  11. Is that an old J Arthur Dixon postcard with the Volvo 131 heading south at the Slocht? It was a common sight in the 60's to see cars with a bunch of the purple heather tied on to the grill of the cars, where did that old custom come from?
  12. Thought I miss herd our own CB's report on BBC Radio Scotland this morning when he said Doran had scored the goal for ICT against Nairn on Saturday but it was the same an hour later! He should have read the thread on the forum where he would have found it was Foran
  13. I am sure Celtic will appeal and it will be changed to a 2 game ban and 6 suspended!

  19. He finished 10th equal -8, well done to the young man from Inverness
  20. The old magic roundabout! Academy St at junction of Queensgate, a Chrysler Talbot with Volvo 144 pulling out in front, Triumph 2000 beside bus and back end of Vauxhall Victor in front (I think), not sure what the white one on the left is!
  21. Jack Warner, who played Dixon of Dock Green, did so until he was an incredible age for a policeman! We were easy pleased in them days!
  22. Is that not one of the toll houses, but I'm not sure if it's the A9 or A96? A862 (old A9) the Clachnaharry toll house with Blackpark Filling Station beyond and not a house in sight on the hill.
