  2. Supported, if you could call it supported, Liverpool from my earliest memories, before I supported any Scottish team. This was purely because I had an Aunt who lived 300 yards away from Anfield, and went to some games there when on holiday over a few years, when I was 4 - 7 years old. Unfortunately never been back since. This was all before we moved back to Inverness from Beauly, and before I found Inverness Thistle. Been a fan of both ever since, developing into ICT, but although I watch and support Liverpool every game, would never be in the Reds end if we were lucky enough to meet them in Europe. Back to Celtic, agree they are making the right noises, but I do still think they underestimate how nasty some of their support is, and Rangers for that matter. It seems to be ignored by the press most of the time. Had issues with Rangers fans spitting at us once, but its happened at Celtic Park three times. The worst of which was when Thistle played at Parkhead in the cup, Thistle nearly scored when it was nil nil, and we were all of a sudden rained on with spit as they had let a couple of thousand Celtic fans into the away end. Kids were sent into our group to urinate on our feet with the warning shouted touch him and yer dead, one of the kids even too a crap in amongst us. Left at half time vowing to never return. Didn't learn my lesson though. Celtic should be fined and Motherwell awarded the points, or purely Celtic deducted the 3 points and given a very hefty fine. Rangers should get the same for the damage caused to Falkirks pitch. Financial penalties do not effect the fans who cause the problem, closing the stadium to the offending fans does - but dont ban the oppositions fans. We will see how the SFA deal with this after their light hearted ban to the Utd throat grabber and eye poker, and Gers Blackie, another small tap on the knuckles and suspended fine or something sounds about right
  3. It seems to me the constant mentioning of Celtics self titled best fans in the world is exploding in their faces at the moment. Its been mentioned continually over the last few years about the amount of trouble they are causing away from home, at friendlies. Can not really suprise any one, apart from Celtic fans themselvses. Rangers have quite rightly been tarnished in the media over the last few years but I've always thought they are as bad as each other, Seem to remember numbers of seats getting damaged at TCS by them both in the past. Celtic fans even carrying knives into games, and stabbings amongst themselves ( did that also happen up here?) Thing is, this current troubles, is it down to the Green Brigade solely, or are other fans getting involved. Celtic sell their away tickets, not the home teams, so it should be very easy for them to identify the culprits, and ban them from all football grounds. We do not need this scum in the scottish game, as it gets labeled as Scottish hooligans everywhere else.
  4. Was that because he had excluded Celtic from the league, so the battle is between Aberdeen and Dundee Utd for second behind Inverness Caley Thistle.

  6. Im sure he will be delighted to get off so lightly. He could have been Fryed by the SFA, but he walks away tasting off chocolate.
  7. tbh never even considered Yogi to be in the running, but hey now that it looks like he has the job. We will see decent, on the deck footie. He is good at developing youff, has a big presence and is a big character. Passionate about his football and to the point as i remember him. Still remember the day we were relegated, and lets say Butcher was out manouvered by Hughes Bairns, whose tactics werent pretty that day but who stayed up. I look forward to watching some great on the eye football, but with players a bit more talented than his Bairns team, which points to good times. Lets get behind Yogi, and the team. Remember we got a semi final to win in February, come on Yogi's Army.

  11. Peter Grant ( ex Celtpit ) was on Radio tonight saying he would be up for the job, infact any job! Certainly has experience coaching, but is out of work right now
  12. Alex, It was on Radio Scotland yesterday that the new BT deal will mean the team qualifying from Scotland will get an added £ 7 million for getting to the group stages. English clubs will get more than £ 7 million each. Therefore if Celtic are earning around 12 million for getting to the group stages this season, when the BT deal kicks in they will be getting near £ 20 million. That is 7 times our annual budget, and thats just one competition, forget their league and cup, sponsors and season tickets. To get a share of that we need to finish second, and hope that Celtic get a run in Europe to get the country co-efficient up allowing 2 teams into the Champs league, oh damn AC Milan messed that up
  13. Maybe getting permission to talk to Hartley just to get the low down on Morton for this weekend. I hope not, hope he interviews well,as everything else seems to fit in place with him. Can see him being a great success, Paddy Connelly with him, and an otherwise unknown talent scout he may want to recruit. Encouraged by todays developments, big style
  14. A player who is scoring goals for a small Premiership club should be worth more than the player scoring for the big club, depending on where they are in the leagues too. Rylan Gauld is being quoted at £ 6m, bigger club so he has talent, but 6 million!!!!! Hooper went for £ 5m, scoring a similar number of goals as to Billy Mckay, but playing in a team creating an awful lot more chances than ICT. So how many would Hooper score for us, and how many would Mckay score for them. Want a bet that one would be scoring a hat full more given the chances Celtic create. Stevie May worth £ 800,000, I think they may be undervaluing him at that, compared to the others. ICT should expect bidding to start well above £ 1m for Mckay, if they were to even consider any offers.
  15. Did Kenny Cameron say how many was on the shortlist, or are folk just presuming there are 4 names. Craig Brown's name was mentioned a lot last time, and I was almost slashing my wrists, and it took a few years of Butcher to get over that. Now I hear the trigger words Sutton and Shiels and all those thoughts are returning I just dont see the attraction of either, even for an interview
