I hope county play Own Goal again, something sweet about that in a derby
  3. wow shocked to see Aberdeen up, and Dundee Utd. And St Mirren down. I know it also partly depends on who you opposition are, but i am suprised about a few of those. Thanks CaleyD
  4. Funny thought he said wrong name at the time but just didnt connect it with his comic hero
  5. Had to laugh at the weekend, with Sir Alex doing his usual moaning about injury time when Man U dont win. 4 minutes extra being a disgrace, and " it denies you enough time to win the game ". I just thought you already had 94 minutes and were losing, we all know its for 90 minutes and you couldnt do it in that time. However, he did say something that I have thought for years, Injury time should not be down to the ref, the 4th official should decide, as he can better track the stoppages. As they should also for diving cheats getting banned after its reviewed, 1 game, increasing in games every time they do it, so repeat offenders ( Welbeck, Drogba, Suarez, Ashley Young, Ronaldo, etc etc ) could stop cheating and show the great skills they actually possess.
  6. Third division clubs are not complaining though, they all know they are just competing for a play off place, unless ofcourse Sevco continue to struggle. My point being all SPL clubs apart from ICT and Celtic were reporting increased season ticket sales, yet all teams apart from those mentioned have dropped in attendances, with the exception of the so called sell out Saturday. Would be interesting to see the difference in attendances so far for clubs. You will also note that this is not purely SPL based, as noticing the English Premiership has also got attendances down for some clubs
  7. Probably get Runrig and take the High road, or Alba.

His name is Darko Faddenovich, seemingly Motherwell and Sunderland were interested. IHE knows his cousins neighbours therapist brother James
  9. James Macdonald has a song 'gypsy caravan' on true north records, released in 2009.
  10. I know that our home crowds have been smaller then people, especially the club would like. But take a look at all the other clubs, County and Dundee are up loads for obvious reasons, Hibs and St Mirren in the top half for a change have added a few but not a big amount. The rest are still really struggling for numbers too, Aberdeen v Hibs 8200, Hearts hitting 10,000 only, Dundee United well done, Killie not much better, but Celtic's last two games 40,000 and 14,000 is a horrendous number of fans down. Is it all due to the economy, cant be bothered, or with some is it due to the absence of the twin of Glasgow's evil no longer their. I honestly thought it would just be Celtic who would notice big style, but.......... anyone else think of a reason?
  11. 5 in 4 league games, just said on sky
  12. However, when Neil Lennon complained, Celtic got more than their fair share of pens and dubious decisions. But at the same time so did Rangers. Dubious decisions tend to go the way of the loudest fans, hence why we get a whole lot fewer, and have less divers, sorry cheats.
  13. Some amount of Greenesque logic there. I have the same feeling for the Portsmouth fans too, they haven't asked for the problems they have had. And Plymouth, and Clydebank, and Airdrie, and Port Vale, Wimbledon etc etc. Been a Kingsmills Jaggie, I never asked for Caledonian to be added to my club, but have had to move on. Doesnt stop me believing we could have achieved our progress with out the merger. If Thistle or Caledonian had got into the scottish league themselves, they would have completely outgrown the others left in the Highland league, and become the dominant force in the Highlands. But as so many original Caley fans profess, its still not the same as if they still had their original club. Our current home strip takes the biscuit for me, not only does it obliterate Thistle, but it reminds me of Rangers
  14. So its Celtic, Hearts, Arabs, St J, St M, newco or Mothers, Pars or Dons. Newco are crap away from Ipox, maybees it would be good to get them up here. Otherwise either Saints or maybe Jam tarts.
  15. could get the newco yet. pity we cant get the derby in a 1/4 final. hehehehe
  16. Laurence, You hit the nail on the head. Been told umpteen times about 15 clubs in the English premiership using EBTs. They are all dodging tax, and the bigger the club, the better the lawyers to maintain that dodge. I think that the old / new club have been punished, as Celtic will pass their titles haul while they try to get back to the SPL or whatever guise it be in when they return. As with all these punishments its the fans who are effected most. The players Rangers had during the period in question, also lost them titles, and cups. What punishment should they get for not winning everything. Should we look at every dubious decision in those seasons, and award a new trophy if they changed the outcome. Should we look at all of the spl being unfair, as both Rangers and Celtic pay their players more than anyone else, Is that fair?
  17. extra time. come on lads, dont let it go to the lottery of pens
  18. too late to keep the clean sheets though
  19. Nah, the Tulloch Global Tore Stadium. We would have to alter the name as neither would be happy if their name was not first. Highand Alba Caledonian and Ross Thistle FC ( HACART FC ) Combining the best of both clubs, So county's defence, and our Mid field and Stikers ( cause it wouldnt be wise the other way round) Following the example of several Danish teams who have amalgamated, who now strut their stuff in Europe. Nordsjealand a prime example in the Champions league this season.

Called county like a phone jacker to enquire about hospitality. Was told all games are available, apart from the first derby game, but most bookings for that were provisional, sold out my arse
  21. very true about Suarez, did not watch the game due to recovering from previous night and an inability to keep eyes open. All the top teams have them, look at Real Madrid, and to an extent Barca although they only seem to do it against Real.
  22. just seen it too, was a late tackle, but sending off was likely not for the late bit, his foot was a couple of inches of the grass and his studs were showing, even though it was not his studs or foot which took him down, Fraser contacted OTJs shin. Not worth appealling. Forans tackle was late, but foot was down and not with studs showing, although it was by far the meatier tackle. Anderson may appeal, as he did touch the ball, but only by a millimeter. Dont think it will be overturned though as in touching the ball he pushed Shane over. Definate penalty. Doran's non penalty, what a stone waller. Aaron hesitated, and pushed the ball out of his feet, probably further than he wanted too, but as he went to shoot, Aberdeen player just slid into the back of his knees, and the momentum of the tackle meant it looked like he took a shot. Really really bad decision. If Aberdeen are allowed to appeal, spl should also be allowed to send of a player retrospectively.

Does anyone think it could be a combination of last seasons poor displays ( not helped by the worst injury list ever ), the poor standard of the spl overall, the area's finances from recession, the lack of up and at them style football, and the less interest in the league due to Rangers demise. Think Terry's determination to have HIS team, and the loss of the teams spine has also effected some folks . One thing is for sure, low attendances = smaller budgets = harder to field a successful team. Spoke to a county fan today, who was saying their are rumblings of unhappiness in the county first team, as with a bigger pool now, many players arent getting a look in. They may be picking up points at the moment, but they are not creating much chances in their games. No shots on target v Arabs, and just three attempts according to bbc
  24. Nah, Danny Welbeck had a treble of dives for Man Utd v Wigan. Got a penalty for the worst one, got booked for another, and the ref waived play on for the third, probably knowing it would be a sending off and the wrath of Fergie at the third. Absolutely hate it when such a talented team resort to having to cheat. Ashley Young took the biscuit last season, seems like Man U are training at the pool these days
