  1. maybe (from midfield forward) - ---------proctor-----duncan foran-------sanchez--------imrie -------------rooney--------------- I really don't know though.
  2. not sure how we are going to line up but certainly is an attacking starting 11.
  3. ---------------Esson-------------- Tokely--Bulvitis--Munro--Golabek Proctor--Cox--McBain--Imrie -------Rooney--Foran--------- Give Rooney a start and see if he can put one of his chances away. He certainly seems to get more than anyone else.

    Rooney

For me Rooney is on a bad run of luck just now. He consistently gets himself into good shooting positions which is far more than you can say about the rest of our strikers. I think if starts a game or two he'll start putting these chances away. I doubt Rooney and Foran could play together so I don't know if his chance will come anytime soon. I agree with the substitution yesterday I think it cost us the game. At the time Foran was causing their defence a few problems and was getting the crowd going closing down everything. As for moving a striker on it'll Barowman before Rooney as he's disappeared after starting against Partick a few weeks back.
  5. Esson Tokely Bulvitis Munro Golabek Duncan Cox McBain Imrie Hayes Foran
  6. He was a mile better than Sanchez yesterday. Currently I would play him with Foran because Sanchez doesn't bother his arse.
  7. If your poll was anything to do with "we should have kept Brewster", which you seem to be saying then it is without a doubt abusive to the club and its supporters.
  8. I think Rooney could be decent poacher. Before anyone says it I know he missed a couple of good chances on Saturday but every striker has there off days. I thought his hold up and link up play on Saturday was far better than I have seen from him before. And remember you have to be in the right place at the right time to get these chances he missed. He's still young and compared to Barrowman he's world class. If he gets a decent chance in the team, even from the bench, I think he could get a decent goals total this season. I couldn't believe some of the people around me on Saturday, getting on at him for being slow when a long ball was hit miles away from him, it seems he can do no right in some peoples eyes just now. He should have scored on Saturday but you could probably say that about every striker in the league a few times a season. The only problem is that I really don't see him and Foran as a partnership. I think the best bet is to have him on the bench and through him on if we are needing a goal because to me he's bound to get himself a chance.
  9. Foran Barrowman/Sanchez/Odhiambo Rooney Sutherland Foran is obviously first choice but I think it will be between three who partners him. I would prefer to see Odhiambo or Sanchez partner Foran but Barrowman seems to be liked by Butcher. I thought Rooney put in a decent showing yesterday(apart from his finishing). He showed a lot more around the park than he has previously. I can see Sutherland going out on loan if Barrowman or Odhiambo are fit before the transfer window shuts.
  10. Butcher did think he was good enough but a fee was going to have to be paid for him which is money we didn't have considering we got relegated. So stop slagging the manager for something when it aint true.
  11. This is bad news yes but it's a sign of the times. We survived without a proper shop before and will again. We are in the first division so there was always going to be cost cutting. And with now what looks like a big squad for a first division club surely it is better to have no shop and a squad that has different options throughout and a better chance of winning the title than a shop and a smaller squad? The shop was always dead during the week, when I was ever there anyway. Being busy for an hour every second Saturday aint going to cover the costs for the two midweeks in between. Before anyone says anything about Mike Smith and that his wages could cover the cost, I have never met him or know a lot about what he does at the club so cannot make that judgment. Surely the long term future of the club as a whole and the team on the park is more important than the short term future of the shop. If this money saved goes towards winning the league then I'm sure there will be a shop next year.
  12. what a load of rubbish. Proctor has developed well under butcher into decent right back or right mid but not a holding midfielder, not yet anyway. Before butcher arrived he had no positional sense, even though he had been mainly playing down the right for most of his career. If he was to become a holding midfielder it would take a lot of work before he could even match russell duncan. I'm sorry i just don't see it, maybe if we get about 3/4 injuries in midfield but only then should it be considered.
  13. None from Rankin last season anyway.
  14. I thought proctor was starting to look a lot better going forward towards the end of the season. We have signed Cox who is being referred to as a midfielder by most of the papers.
  15. looks like he is staying unless someone comes in with a decent offer for him.
  16. no he was one of brewsters deadline day signings along with proctor in the summer transfer window when brew came back. He actually did a job when he came in as we had just lost 6 on the bounce and our defence was desperately missing dods but since those first few games I don't think he has shown much.
  17. Smith has already left on a free. Fraser was the only keeper to report for pre-season training.
  18. He refused to take a pay cut so was let go.
  19. David Lilley isn't being offered a new contract at Killie. Would be a good shout but I don't imagine we will be looking for defenders.
  20. The youths play in the SFA youth development initiative with the other spl & sfl clubs. There is no league really but I would imagine the coaches keep there own record of the results and league standings
  21. Guys he didn't want to stay anyway. I heard he said he wanted to leave before he knew if he was being offered a contract from butcher or not. Roy wasn't in favour when butcher arrived but worked his way into the team towards the end of the season. Why was Vigurs not there instead? I think you have to look at the player not the manager. Vigurs was in the squad and came on for butchers first game against celtic but then he doesn't play for the rest of the season. Butcher could obviously see he had something when he first arrived but if the player is not willing to put the effort in or seems not to put the effort in training he has got to go. If he does well at county then great if not then great because he's about the only decent player they have. There is no need for people on here getting wound up about him not being offered a contract when he said he didn't want to stay anyway. CaleyP I understand that you know Ian but if he was needing to rebuild his confidence why go to county? To be a good player in a poor squad? Why not to one of the other bigger teams in the first division, since he is so admired from so many clubs. Funny how its the club where Brewster is that signed him when no other clubs had been publicly showing interest in him. Surely there would have been more speculation in the papers if there was a fight for his signature and any larger scottish clubs were interested. Don't get me wrong I am disappointed he isn't here for next season but he was a player with potential nothing more!
  22. Vigurs didn't want to stay anyway. Maybe Butcher had got wind of that and decided against wasting any time offering him a contract.
  23. I think we will see Duncan & Kerr(if he stays) as the central pairing. I wouldn't mind that in the first division.
