  1. Its a common occurence that at home the crowd is usually pretty quiet, except for local derbies etc, the crowd at Dunfermline last week were really bad except for a wee gang at the half way line. Inverness have the same problem where it only seems that section F/G areas making noise, however you cant blame fans for the teams perfomance and their inabilty to score a goal, saturday was a failure caused by the teams failure to break down a defence, in my opinion it was too much change too soon, and nobody able to get behind their defence.
  2. Seesm to me there were too many changes to the team, The defence was excellent, and could have gone 3 at the back easily. Midfield were a bit clueless at times and never got behind the Ayr defence which was going to be the only way to get a win. Subs were mysterious, Proc was doing ok Stratford was not imposing himself in the game and seemed to jog about mostly, taking him off for Roy would have changed the game in out favour if we had gone 3-5-2 with Proc pushing up the right in support of Ross/Eagle/Hayes. Oh.. welcome to lower league officials.. so feckin dire its scary.
  3. Did the trust not try to get volunteers to paint some stuff at the stadium, and very few people responded so it was cancelled?
  4. Me and Mannie will volunteer to check out local watering holes for quality of drink/food/travel distance to the stadium. Oh.. on a serious note, the bar in the main stand at East End park was excellent, they do food during the week and match days the place is bouncing, cheap drink and no far to get to yer seat!! I'm sure ICT could use the Kingsmills suite to something similar, what views and handy for parking too.
  5. Those who were attending in our past life ( in div one) will of course remember there was only one stand, so not much singing/shouting was heard, we can also not expect many away fans this season, apart from the unwashed from Dingwall and possibly Dundee. So, all the noise will be from what we make it chaps! bang the feckin drums!!!!!
  6. Whats the difference? if you are a first team player and all of a sudden you dont even get picked for the first team squad - dropped?
  7. I wouldnt scoff at that, First home game for the leauge!! lets get the banter going!! I cant wait, I wont get much sleep the night!!! I'd have Roy Mcbain in there instead of Stratford, far better grafter and more experience in the scottish game, that midfield has played very little first team football in the last 18 months. Not convinced about Stratford at the mo' seemed to fade away last week, and quite a few stray passes - is that not why Russell got dropped?
  8. Freckin header....
  9. Kevin MacDonald went from Caley to Leicester City, then Liverpool, then Rangers and is possibly the best player to come out of the highland league !
  10. Mmmm.. could be a problem with the subs there!
  11. Best pint of John Smiths in the town.. dont drink lager, but never heard anybody complain yet. Plus.. its no bad crack on football days. Heathmount is nice but EXPENSIVE, castle tav has good beer and i quite like the Phoenix for the old feckin bar that it is. But like the thread about restaurants, its all personal..
  12. Bayne - brilliant for us??? that needs debate. He was the same for Pars on saturday as he was for us, lots of energy but no finesse - and no goals.
  13. Depends what you class as spectacular? Rocpool is hard to beat for good food but it depends what you like eh? Keppoch is more quantity than quality but that suits some not others, like football and whisky, depends on yer taste.
  14. Usual sour grapes from the management, his team huffed and puffed and 90% of their chances were from outside the box. Bayne was just like Bayne of old ran about daft won a lot of balls and did feck all else. What a good day out though, train from Edinburgh - taxi to east end inn ( bit feckin rough ) met Hoolies and Luvgravy from canada, Innes bus arrived late - driver claimed heavy traffic but we heard they stopped for tea & scones at Ballingry.... Anyway snatched 3 points after pars had blown themselves out, into the legends bar in the main stand - and how TCS could do with a set up like that - brilliant, made the 6 train back to Embra after 2 dodgy guys posed at a road sign called ' Transy avenue'. Out for some beers, nice meal and wine and wandered about soaking up the fringe atmosphere, great!
  15. Take out Hastings and put in Mcbain, Roy can do a lot more than Dickie on the left, as he can play football. Odi will not be fit enough - just light training at the mo'
  16. Kind of depends how much Butcher see's Imrie as part of the plan for return to the SPL, ?50K is not going to get you anyone else like Imrie outwith the SPL, no one else has the pace & danger he has in our team so he could be a very important player for us this season, much more important than ?50k.
  17. I was.. but now i'm not. wiferitis strikes me down, but i will be coming through from Edinburgh on the train with a few others.
  18. ' Lionel has played at centre back ' Oooo feck, dont tell me...
  19. More like Graham Norton....
  20. 1--0 To Motherwell at the moment, they get another and its game on i recon. However... Aberdeen are down 3-0 in the second leg and Oloumuc have just missed a penalty! what a shame eh...
  21. Better still... why not sell Mike Smith and keep the shop and the staff?
  22. From what i hear, Proc will be right back, starting 11 will be the same as last week with no place for Russell, and as stated above Foran/Rossco will revert back to normal when bans are completed. Looks like Tel is forming his own team, which was expected was it not?
  23. Didnt know he played in Espagna?
  24. Not in the films he's not.
  25. I managed a wee spin in the new Honda Hybrid yesterday, strange thing to drive, very very harsh on the road because of the size of the battery which stretches from the back of the car to under the rear passengers footwell, strange thing to drive as the petrol engine cuts out every time you halt at a junction and starts itself when you press the throttle. Fair bit to go with electric technology in my mind.
