  1. After the shocker Proctor had on saturday, i would not be surprised if Brew kept him in the middle of defence again! and kept Duff at right back.. Brewster has a really stubborn streak that will prevent him from making changes despite the formation not working, and saturdays team did not work.
  2. That will always be a matter for conjecture, my source at Hibs tells me otherwise.
  3. There is no point keeping players who dont want to stay, Dargo was offered a very good deal to stay and refused it. Wyness was not prducing the goods for Brew and as it seems St Mirren, although is an ICT hero it was time for him to move in my mind, just as Barry will go at some point this season. Rankin went because of Donald Park and big money at Hibs. Saturdays game is pretty important, but funnily enough i'd be more worried if it was to be played at TCS for some reason...
  4. Seems a bit arrogant of him to dismiss the fans view, but then its nothing new. There has also been a huge silence from the new chairman about our club, his media presence is about zero, seems to me he could be doing more to rally the troops/fans etc in this hour of need.
  5. Usually 12 months...
  6. I'm getting ind of fed up saying this is a game we cant afford to get beat... for some reason we get beat, so for this week i'm going to say... a draw will do.
  7. Just goes to show what you write when full of the grape juice eh... I've had enough of Brews Colonel Blink tactics, he really needs to get advice from a proper manager on how to set up a team and get players in the right position. Its quite obvious that Malky is a spy in the camp and trying **** ICT by giving Brew the wrong advice.
  8. Smee has obviously started this thread as a Brew basher again. However after saturday my position on the fence has become very shoogly, the playing of Duff at RB and leaving the very ineffectual Proctor in the middle of defence left me stunned. Playing a box striker like Barro' on his own was another piece of brainfade, losing at Midden on saturday will mean Brew losing his job in my mind, but while he is still good mates with the D.O.F. there aint much chance of that happening.
  9. I would be ok with watching ugly football now and then if it meant a win... but we canna get a win at home no matter how we play.
  10. Just watched the highlights online, sannot believe how bad Proctor was.. jeez he was not at hte races, he was getting pulled all over the place and first 2 goals were him not picking up his man. Makes Brews decision to put Duff to RB and leave Proc in the middle more frustrating.
  11. He was. Guess we will have to agree to differ, he is a one trick pony, i.e. he runs about and gets in the way. The run into the box and the attempt to knock out the sign at the back of section F in the second half summed Hastings up.
  12. Hastings was one of our best players today :thumb04: :018: ;)
  13. Hmmm.. calling Brew a muppet and a useless fool when he cant defend himself????
  14. Barrowman up front on his own was a joke.. he is a good penalty box player... and for that we need the ball into the box, and our midfield did it once today. To play him up front and pump high balls to him was totally pathetic, and not Barrowmans fault, as for Wood.. his ball control is laughable, that back header from Kenneth came back off the post and Wood could do was bounce the ball off his shin back to the keeper. Dont get me started on Hastings....
  15. Eh? so why cant they play at home? the players dont take any blame??? Imrie was gash today, Vigurs didnt look interested and Cowie looked like he is away in January. The manager played two players in the wrong place, Proc should have been RB and Duff should have been next to Granty. He cant be blamed for the shyte performance from midfield, the midfield that did so well against Killie and Celtic.

    Rooney

What i saw today was a player ( Barrowman ) given the role of trying to win high/pumped balls adainst 2 6'4" defenders... they feckin lapped it up by the way... Barrowman did as well as he could have with Zero support from midfield, Imrie was useless as was Vigurs, so when the chips are down the young ones disappear... and we blame Barro.
  17. Didnt hear him blame the referee today ya muppet.... With fans like you we will be better off if you **** off to clach. We tried hard toay against a GOOD Dee utd, we were beat by a better team, i'm not happy but the facts are staring you in the face.... no money to buy top class players.
  18. The onus should be on the drummer(s) in section G to get the shouting/singing going, if they are quiet the crowd will be subdued. Come on guys bang the drum!!!!! the team will respond and win 2-1 after losing an early goal....
  19. Unless something drastic happens to the weather tonight the game will be on, forecast is cloudy with light showers... mind you the told us to expect a lot of snow yesterday.
  20. Brewster should be judged at the end of the season ( unless things go really bad) this has/will be very much a transitional season with the blooding of a few young players, with no money available to buy experience it was always going to be difficult, like it or not.
  21. We knew that Barry was going to move on at the end of the season, so that aint a shock, Fraser - well we have a better replacement in Esson, So if its just money he's got some arguing to do. Black and Cowie are different, they are key players, Blackie has stated that he is happy here and wants to stay, he has matured into a fine player and will get better, Cowie on the other hand will probably leave, but we will keep him to the end of the season i think to ensure SPL status. So out of the four players I reckon we need worry about Cowie only.

There was probably a clause in Marius's contract that he receives 50% of that money.
  23. With santa playing the points will be in the 'bag' eh Ron...
  24. We started vs Hearts 442 and looked ok, just finishing that was the problem, so if he starts 4 5 1, dont look for many goals. Barrowan has not been used correctly IMO, No way is he a targetman, seem to remember using Dargo up front on his own and it was a waste of time, Barro' needs to play off players in the box where his touch will be used to better effect. Anyway looks like ..... Esson Proc Duff Munro fobtc Imrie Black Duncan Vigurs Cowie Woood
  25. :thumb04: You've been in the Clach club then yngers?
