  1. Especially if they sign Dargo... :007:
  2. In the past we have lost players, but we have never lost three main players in one season, Brown, Dods and Dargo in my mind were the three most influential players we had. Add to that the aging process of Barry and we have in my mind a wee crisis about to happen, we hear again the platitudes from CC and GB how the squad are good enough, remember in January how they gambled on Rory to come good, that backfired. Its time or some people in power with money to invest i think.
  3. Sometimes you need to cut out the crap and get straight to the point....... :014:
  4. :moon2: .... Near enough... :015:
  5. After reading Dargo's comments in the interview in the P & J, He seems quite taken by what Midden have offered and by what Mcpherson is saying, would not be surprised if he ends up there. Now we have a situation where this incident has given ICT a bad bit of PR, I'm sure other players keep in touch with what is happening in the transfer market and this will confirm that not only are ICT 'way up north' that they cant pay very well. This will leave is scratching about in the lower leagues ( ala county) looking for players that match our finances, now in my mind this will always have us in the lower league area ' punching above our weight' not really challenging for 6th place. We have in a chairman an ambitious man, an obviously successful businessman who i'm sure is a football man through & through, will he invest money into ICT? any businessman will tell you that you have to speculate to accumulate, if all we can attract is out of form/untried lower league players i feel we can not move on to the next level, this will without doubt put pressure on CC as manager to get the best out of players and hope they can overachieve. I hope this does not sound too negative, but if players like McManus are giving us the dunt to stay in the first div. it is a concern to me.
  6. I did not attend this charity event, (£100 a head) but seemingly CC was doing the cooking along with the rocpool reserve chef, Grassa was helping out as a waiter too. The two chef's ( CC has himself as a wee bit of a masterchef) cook food and punters try to guess who cooked it - pro or football manager.... difficult eh? £200 a couple is a wee bit dear for me...
  7. Brill.... we could get Titch McCooey to do the announcing stuff!!!! :014:
  8. In reality we need cover for three defensive places, Centre, right and left backs due to fact that there is no one to cover Hastings or Rossco, we NEED an experienced striker, no bullshitting of Wyness or Rory to make them think they can fill the space.
  9. Pysh and Drivel has us down as being interested in Mcmanus and Mcintyre... no word of Mcmanus signing for Pars again though. Mcintyre might be a good signing as well eh?
  10. ' Aberdeen certainly don't seem to have any problems in the transfer market.' Pretty unfair to compare us with Aberdeen, they are Scotlands third biggest club, and can pay far bigger salaries than we ever will, they are in European competition next year, this alone will attract players. If you take a closer look and stop to think, most of the media/newspaper stuff is pure speculation, and not press releases from the club. Buchanan would i'm sure prefer to come to us in the SPL, but he will get a full time contract with Plastic AND get regular football, which i dont blame him, after all he might not even be offered a deal from us after trials. Do you think the signing of Brown,.Dods,Dargo,Wyness and Rankin amateurish?
  11. ' Ask County fans if you need more proof ' Aye..that goal he scored at Viccy Park was one of the best individual goals i have ever seen an ICT player score. But, he's a fair bit down my list... Barry Wilson even now still gives you that expectation when he gets the ball, and you can see a wee bit panic in the opposition players eyes, did you see the video on utube when he slipped Gravesen and left him for dead!! brilliant.
  12. Has this not been done before?
  13. Eh? you have one already m'dear, it also lets out gasses from time to time :004:
  14. Wish i had your optimism K'Mills, what with CC saying Denzil will fill Dargo's shoe ( after Denzil saying dont expect me to fill Dargo's shoes ) and Richie Hart saying Rory is going to be brilliant this season and fulfill his potential could it be that we are going to make do? If that is the case i would estimate 9th or 10th
  15. :029: Going by the title, i thought we had Motherwell at home first game.... :029: Anyway, Gers at home - brill, they will not relish this trip!
  16. Be interesting to see who he signs for, £60k signing on fee and £2k a week is what is being mentioned to me that he was offered, so there it is then, is he better than that? We can still move on without him. Dargo =
  17. Barry will not be starting every game next season, he will become a bit part player, Patti & Cowie along with Hart will be fighting for that place. Rory is gash ( at present) Bayne will work away and get 6 / 7 maybe 8 goals, and Denzil aint a penalty box player and might get the same. Buchanan, if he is good enough and if he signs, is an unknown entity. We need a goalscorer to replace Dargs and i think the director of football knows this.
  18. Very true Harry, Dargs i feel has used us and abused us, the delay i'm sure was put to good effect, using our offer to bait other teams to beat it, he had nothing to lose after all, if no teams came sniffing and offering more he just had to re-sign at a record salary. We took Dargs from obscurity in the Killie reserves and made his career again, sure he scored 32 goals over two seasons, but that was our gamble not his that he would produce the goods. Onwards and upwards i say, we have lost before and it will happen again.
  19. ' can see us sticking with Bayne, Wyness and Rory for next season. With that Buchanan lad added in.' :029:
  20. I bet you weren't calling him a wee shyte when he was banging them in over the past two seasons! The arrogance of some people on here is shocking, "oh he'll never be as good as he was here!" How the **** do you know? He played two years for us and scored a number of important goals and I for one wish him all the luck in the world wherever he goes. And no doubt if he stays in the SPL the small minded amongst our support will jeer his every touch against us, just completely forgetting that without his goals we could have been a lot closer to relegation than we were. Get a grip and grow up! :008: I am quite grown up thankyou.. And of course i did not call him that for the last two seasons- he was playing for US .... Doh! I am pi55ed off that once again we totally resurrect a career only for the player / manager to turn round and give us the middle finger..which in case you didnt notice, Dargo has done. I stand by my comments, and if you wish we can discuss them further over a pint in the Innes :003:
  21. Eh... why?
  22. Yeah, he's away... little shyte..feck off back to weegie land. He's another that will drop like a stone in loch ness - i hope.
  23. A luke warm Carling would not even be close to reasonable.... Is Labonte not getting on a bit?
  24. As far as I know at the moment the meeting will be an opportunity for the trust board to present our findings following the investigation and this will be followed by a question and answer session where you can express your concerns. The club chairman will be in attendance. I dont suppose you are at liberty to inform us what the trusts 'findings' were?
  25. Dont be daft...you can only stand if ya need the toilet or if a goal is scored.. Hope the club start on a positive note with this issue, the noisy section is needed, in the bridge end of course.
