  1. Even better news, according to the Fleetwood Town site: "Prices for the visits of newly promoted Rochdale (20/07 7.45pm) and Inverness Caledonian Thistle (24/07 3pm), along with the Huddersfield Town game (04/08), have been reduced to ?7 for adults and ?4 concessions." It was me who said about the trams, and I got that info off the FTFC website, but if your pal says they're running then that's great! (40 minute trip from Blackpool.)
  2. He did that gramophone gag the last time I was there! Actually, my favourite was when he finished reading out the ICT team (beginning with 'Eeeeeeeeeson' ) and then remarked, 'I think I'm right in saying a few of those boys didn't go to Merkinch Primary....' Brilliant!
  3. Forgot to say, the Clach stadium announcer last night was out-of-this-world The word 'legend' is bandied about far too frequently these days but the fella at Clach ~ truly deserving of such an accolade
  4. Good luck to him. Hope he does well.
  5. Enjoyed the game. As others have mentioned, the fair-haired lad, Mackay-Steven, was impressive. Gil Blumanshtein looked promising. Dani Sanchez took his disallowed goal well. The second-half was underwhelming. Bring on the Can-Cans!

    Nice one!

On the topic of the club shop I'd just like to say how sorry I am that Maureen has left. (I only found out for definite yesterday.) Maureen was super-helpful to me and super-kind to my son, every single time we had dealings with her (which was often). Maureen, if you're reading this, good luck and good health to you, always. And THANK YOU. PS

Are you sure you didn't dream that? That is vaguely possible, I must admit :)

very suprised i have to say I listened at 8.30 but there was nothing. however i did hear someone mentioning his name. It was mentioned just after 7.30am this morning on MFR. I was semi-conscious at that time, but I think Butcher said he hopes to have the Tuffey signing completed by the end of the week. Incredible coup.
  11. I think nerves sometimes got the better of him, especially after making a mistake (which wasn't his exclusive domain). The crowd would get onto him, the anxiety would kick in and he'd then go slightly to pot. He was exciting/unpredictable to watch, and I liked him.
  12. Agree.
  13. we are planning to get the tram. Every 20 min. same coming back until 7pm then every 30 min. Takes 40 min I was just looking at Fleetwood Town's website and it seems the tram's out of commission at the moment due to engineering work: Clicky The bus appears to be the only other public-transport option, from Blackpool.
  14. I thought the exact same thing!
  15. Now there's quite a different wee snippet about this in today's Daily Mail. I can't find the link so I'll just have to type it out: Hamilton striker Dougie Imrie last night turned his back on a First Division title medal as he set his sights on success with Accies instead. Imrie qualifies for a winners' gong after making 13 league appearances for title-winners Inverness CT last season before heading on loan to New Douglas Park. But the 26 yr old insists he is focused solely on helping Billy Reid's side to build upon their seventh-place finish in last season's SPL and believes Hamilton can also satisfy his ambitions of reaching a major cup final. He said, 'I'm not too bothered about a First Division medal because I wasn't there when Inverness went on their great run to win the league. And I'd like to think Hamilton can achieve some success this season.'
  16. At this point I'm not bothered, but I may feel differently after I've 'experienced' the vuvuzelas' distinctive din.
  17. Just beautiful.
  18. You're a helluva boy, so you are
  19. Love it!
  20. Why? I just think that it's best that I do. Keeping it to myself will only encourage hatred to grow within me, and thats when the heavy drinking and bed wetting begin. I think you're right though. It really is best to "lean into those feelings"
  21. I saw that in the P&J this morning too. So if this Real Valladolid game goes ahead on the 3rd August, surely this means the game at Huntly on the 4th August is off, yet it's still listed on the official site.

  23. I see from the official site that Huntly (A) has been added to the pre-season friendlies list, Wednesday 4th August, 7.30pm kick-off. Still no further word on anything for Monday 26th July, to tie in with the trip to Fleetwood on the 24th :D
