  1. Who was playing for Caley Thistle ?
  2. I sincerely hope that they are better than they succession of third rate Dutch players who came and went at County under Adams.
  3. A useful first work out and an encouraging clean sheet after our defensive woes last season. Good to see the likes of Raven, Warren and particularly Draper starting. Here's hoping all are still with us and playing their parts come the business end of the season.
  4. Luton's average crowds and turnover are both approximately double ours. No great surprise.
  5. It was a trait that served him and us well as a player and club captain but which proved to be a fatally flawed quality in an inexperienced manager.
  6. I think I would prefer to wait until that's been confirmed in a newspaper.
  7. Whilst we obviously need to recruit to supplement our now wafer thin squad, in my view, the most important thing is to retain Ross Draper. In what is likely to be a physical and combative league, his presence could be the difference between challenging for promotion and battling relegation. Yes, he is likely to be on a high salary by our standards but to shed him would be a false economy.
  8. Or the time it's taking him to get down to save a shot low in the corner
  9. Our obsession with secrecy about such matters which are not commercially sensitive but of great interest to fans is as baffling as it is frustrating.
  10. Given the way things have been (mis)managed since he stood down, perhaps those who were so vocal and frankly vitriolic against Kenny Cameron will now appreciate just what a decent job he did over the years.
  11. That is too harsh. He did not choose to sustain a serious injury.
  12. Given the amount he has earned in his career and the fact that we paid him for a season where he was hardly fit to play, I thought that he might have felt an obligation to give us a season in return for a modest Championship salary. Disappointing.
  13. He is referring to the red and blue ribbons that will be adorning the Championship trophy come May.
  14. One of the few positives of demotion. More fun and civilised away days and the welcome return to the forum of Buffy
  15. I had overlooked his painting 'skills'. There are large parts of the stadium in need of a lick of paint. Maybe we should retain him and get full value for his salary
  16. No doubt that OFW will be one of our highest paid players. No doubt that, with our reduced status, we would be keen to save or free up that money but there is nobody at the TCS on what could be described as a huge salary and OFW's salary for last season would have been covered by what we received from UEFA for his participation in the Euros.
  17. Mulraney certainly has pace. Yet to see much evidence that he is particularly skilful. Wholly agree with what you say about Doran, if fit, he could be very effective for us this season.
  18. I have often thought that there was merit in having some part time players in the squad especially if their local employers were flexible enough to perhaps adjust their hours to let them train a couple of mornings a week with the full timers. It would cut our costs and enable us to attract some promising lower league players who are maybe and understandably not willing to take the risk of turning full time and abandoning careers outwith football.
  19. Raven would be worth at least another year at Premiership level never mind the Championship. I would be very disappointed to see him let go.
  20. You may well be right but I would be looking for closer to six figures.
  21. As far as OFW is concerned, if someone were prepared to pay a half reasonable fee for him, I wouldn't be devastated to see go.
  22. That start demonstrates just how tough this division is going to be. We need to hit the ground running.
  23. Absolutely. A fresh start with all the players both existing and new given a fair chance and full support.
  24. Rory would be an interesting signing and a good foil for John Baird up front. However, he has turned down full time deals before in favour of combining his trade as a plumber with a healthy supplement as one of the country's highest paid part timers. Not convinced that, at the age of thirty, he would choose to go full time now.
  25. A local boy with the club in his heart who would be very effective at Championship level and who could also do a job in the Premiership if we got promoted. If he is willing to return on reasonable terms he should be welcomed with open arms.
