A mishap that was embarrassing but fleeting unnecessarily compounded by a pompous statement drawing a wholly disproportionate amount of attention to something that could reasonably have been dealt with internally and forgotten. Like others, I am entirely at a loss to know who the 'appropriate authorities' are that the matter has been reported to. Can whoever found the time to draft and issue this pomposity please devote similar time to update us on interesting things like team news, season ticket sales and the like ? The person responsible will be embarrassed but the author of the statement should be much more so. Please get a grip and concentrate on what is important and relevant to the club.

All managers, even the best ones, sign the odd dud. That Said, a couple of matches whilst probably not match fit and undoubtedly not familiar with either his team mates or Scottish conditions is far too early to consign him to that category. The early signs may not be promising but he deserves to be given a chance.

The need to trim the budget I perfectly understand but, as is the case with OFW, he is on the wage bill just now and costing us money on a daily basis so we may as well make use of our best assets and surely, if we want to offload players, the best way is to put them in the shop window and have them play and, hopefully, play well.

Agree. We need to be using this match as a final warm up for the very difficult start to the league season ahead. All realistic hope of advancing in the competition disappeared with the midweek results.

I agree entirely. This team will take time to gel and find it's feet. We can't expect or demand too much in the first weeks and months and patience from both manager and fans is a must. If we can somehow stay in touch with the top four or five by New Year then perhaps then we can look at adding a player or two in the January window with a view to pushing on for a play off spot.

A game during our idle mid week is a good idea. It's very obvious that this new team needs as much game time as possible before the serious business of securing vital league points begin. A game against Clach would be a chance for a work out. A match against one of the other teams sitting out this midweek might be a bit more competitive and more closely reflect the challenges we will face in the league and would be a better option.

To be fair to the club, it's not a case of don't want but can't afford.

The group stage games last season were just as poorly attended. We have been crying out for attractive and successful football for the last two seasons. If Robbo's side can produce that I'm sure we can top 2,500. We have a limited support but very loyal and winning again on a regular basis will keep the turnstiles clicking.

Clach fans may be surprised to hear that we are Inverness's "only senior football club".

A decent idea but at the wrong time. There would be a significant capital outlay in refitting the premises. Thereafter a very significant on going revenue cost in rent, business rates, utilities and additional staff costs with no guarantee of generating a profit. It's not a prudent risk at the moment with our revenue likely to be a million pounds a year less at the very least following relegation.

We have certainly found quite a few players. Only the next few weeks and months will establish whether they are decent or not but the Brechin game certainly gave some grounds for optimism in that respect.

Baird is much in the same mold as Robbo himself. If he turns out to have half his eye for poaching a goal he'll prove a great signing.

If he played like that every week he would be playing at a higher level. These glimpses of great ability that appear much less frequently than they should are the most frustrating aspect of his play. What a player he would be if he applied himself more diligently x
