  1. Absolutely agree. Our last two victories could count for very little if we can't beat the Pars, who are bottom of the league for a reason, for the first time this season. We are better than them. As Jaggernaught says, we have to be as comitted in the pursuit of promotion as they will be in avoiding relegation.
  2. We are now in with a shout of promotion via the play offs. However, to have a realistic chance, we need to keep as many of our limited squad as possible available to play. Yesterday our most experienced player was lucky not to be sent off for reacting to what was admittedly a reckless challenge on him and could easily have found himself suspended for a straight red. I realise that it is sometimes difficult in the heat of things but, from now until the end of the season, discipline will be almost as important as commitment. The best form of retaliation is to watch your opponent leave the pitch head bowed in defeat.
  3. Don't you just love a film with a surprising twist in the tail.
  4. The pink kit is, by far, the best away kit we have ever had. Certainly a far nicer kit than the current one.
  5. Having reflected on the goals conceded today, I can't help feeling that Cammy could have done better with both of them. I appreciate that this view might not be popular as, prior to today, he has been very solid since he came into the team but, in my view, we should be going with Ridgers, asuuming he is fully fit, as the more experienced "keeper for the remaining games of the season.
  6. Even at this early stage it's looking extremely likely that the Premiership side in the play offs will be St Johnstone. I hope that, from the point of view of being as prepared as possible, one of the coaching team will take in a couple of their league matches just in case we prove good enough or lucky enough to make the play off final.
  7. What a disgrace. Commentators using our club name.
  8. Well well well. I didnt see that coming 20 minutes ago. We maybe didn't deserve all three points but I wll happily take them. A bit of breathing space against Raith and the gap narrowed against Partick. A much better day than it looked a wee while ago. We will have to play, and especially defend, much better for the rest of the season but much to celebrate this evening.
  9. Not necessarily a good thing that we are playing the bottom five. Our record against them has generally been poor this season and that needs to change quickly if our promotion hopes are to remain intact.
  10. Excellent news. If we make the play offs having him fit and available will be a major boost.
  11. Maybe not quite a must win match but definitely a must not lose game if we are going to maintain a realistic hope of maintaining a play off position. We need to show every ounce of commitment that we, at last, demonstrated against Arbroath. I am sure that a large and highly vocal travelling support will help.
  12. Kingsmills replied to Robert's topic in Caley Thistle
Positive news. It would be great to see half of the population better represented and treated more fairly in the Inverness football community. A little way to go yet but definitely a step in the right direction.
  13. A great gesture. Hopefully, a large crowd and a sea of Ukrainian flags.
  14. You may be right and I have been as critical as anyone but, unless or until we are no longer in the promotion hunt, let's just get behind the team and leave such decisions for a bit later.
  15. Disappointing to see such a negative reaction to a decent performance and a good result against the team leading the league for most of the season. Yes, recent weeks and months have been desperately disappointing but yesterday could well be a turning point. We are still in with a shout of promotion and I personally would prefer to adopt a more positive attitude for as long as that remains the case.
  16. Where it should stay, for every home match, for as long as the illegal occupation continues.
  17. What a pleasure and a relief to win again at last. Huge game now next week in Kirkcaldy against our rivals for the final play off place but we can take confidence not just from the result but from the performance and commitment shown today. That's what we need to see for all our remaining games. This cloudy season could yet conclude with a silver lining.
  18. ..and I will be shouting out loud before our game against Raith Rovers next week.
  19. Our battle now is to stay ahead of Raith Rovers for the final play off place and, assuming we manage that, to build up some confidence and momentum going into the play offs. A win today would be a start in that quest.
  20. Fully agree with your first paragraph. C'mon ICT !
  21. As someone who mainly attends home games, can somebody please explain to me what a large vocal support is ?
  22. Great effort at such short notice.
  23. ....and Arbroath, Kilmarnock and Partick all gleefully accepted that invitation.
  24. The disregard that our current board and CEO seem to have for the fans who keep the club afloat is nothing short of disgraceful and is not a topic that should be 'let go' until it's resolved. Customer relations is important to any company but especially so for one running what they wish to be regarded as a community club and at the moment is non existent. It would take very little to resolve the issue but it appears that, despite previous utterances to the contrary, nobody at the top is bothered. Poor results and performances are not the only reason why folk are drifting away from the club.
