I believe he thinks any club in Scotland other than Celtic is beneath him...

Pity, he would have scored a hat full in the Highland League...
  3. I believe that the figure is £83,000 for each club but even if it's the lower figure of £75,000 that is about ten times the likely split of the gate after deductions which neither club will have expected or budgeted for. That being the case, why not reduce the entry price to a fiver for full paying adults to cover stewarding costs to generate a crowd and an atmosphere and to let fans who, due to difficult financial circumstances, can not generally afford to attend and who might not even have been able to scrape together the cash to go to Glasgow last May a rare opportunity to see and cheer on the team.
  4. You mean that by the semi final stage our fans will be pulling down players in green and white hoops in the box ?......
  5. If you say so then he almost certainly is.......
  6. Perhaps because very many people with disabilities hold down responsible and well paid jobs and have no need for or desire to be treated differently from anyone else.
  7. We will need to beat Stirling first. If we do manage somehow to defend our trophy it will be very hard fought and even more well deserved....
  8. Good move. Will increase what is likely to be a modest crowd and maybe encourage some of the kids to return on a more regular basis.
  9. According to the BBC, it will not freeze overnight in Stirling and conditions tomorrow are forecast to be no worse than moderate rain.
  10. Note Stokes is not in the Celtic squad. Maybe he's busy packing his bags for a wee break in the Highlands.
  11. ......which makes it tricky to put him on a pre contract just now but come June they have no legal right to exercise that so called 'option' just like we no legal right to tie down Ryan Christie for an additional year despite having the 'option' to do so. Come June, Miles will be a free agent and can sign for any club outwith England without any fee being involved.
  12. On the other hand, why not wait until the end of the season and put that £50,000 towards his salary package ?
  13. Great that it is sorted for now but I hope there are serious discussions ongoing with him or his agent for the longer term. The last thing we want is another Summer wondering whether we will be starting the season without a recognised striker.
  14. A record league finish and winning a major trophy would be bound to tear a couple of thousand more away from Eastgate and The Retail Park on a Saturday afternoon...........You would think....
  15. Great news but we still need to bring in another experienced forward if we possibly can.
  16. As an agnostic and a decent human being I believe that religion is responsible for far too much of the world's ills today. I also believe in not taking advantage of drunken young women and raping them......I further believe that this section of the forum is for football related debate so if you wish to discuss matters theological please open a new thread in the appropriate section. Or, on second thoughts, please don't !

I would take Ofere back if he fitted within our wage structure but only on at least an eighteen month contract rather than have him until the end of the season with his agent touting him to other clubs as soon as he arrives.
  18. Never mind, we won the one that counts on Saturday...
  19. ....good post and many congratulations on the recent arrivals.
  20. Although, as is clear from the poll, there is disagreement about the order, there is little doubt about the top four but if Fon Williams signs on for a few more seasons there's no reason why he couldn't be up there with Jimmy and Ryan.
  21. Which part of unrepentant convicted rapist playing for a family oriented club being entirely wrong do you fail to get ?
  22. Their chairman seems ignorant of the fact that if he moves to a club in Scotland at the end of his contract rather than staying in England there will be no fee payable.
  23. Only one comment to make. If we are fortunate enough to secure a two goal lead at any stage on no account should we sit deep and try to defend it....
  24. More mature (at least in terms of years) Jaggies will recall that that was not the first time Jim had graced the pitch at Parkhead. The first time he played as a forward while a sixteen year old Les Fridge was between the sticks and Murd Urquhart had a cameo role as Titchy Black's minder....
  25. There's nothing like a good Christmas conspiracy theory...
