New Home Shirt 2014-15
Dougal can often be controversial and sometimes divisive but he is a regular contributor and, whether you or indeed I agree with it or not, seems to make a reasonable enough point. I really don't see how it can be dismissed as trolling.

Synthetic surface and club marketing
This popped into my head when I took my 3 year old daughter to the circus last night, which was at the stadium. The amount of things that they sell before the show and at the interval was incredible. Granted the circus is more slanted towards children than a football game is but food wise there's the usual hot dog & burger type fayre plus popcorn, candy floss, slush puppies and all manner of sweets and treats. There was also a huge range of those flashy/spinny led toys for between £4 and £8. All but the hot food were sold by folk walking up and down the aisles before the performance and at interval. At the interval there was raffle tickets sold for £2 a strip for a big teddy that probably cost about £20, pony rides, face painting plus the sweets and toys. The amount of people lining up for face painting, pony rides, buying raffle tickets, toys and sweets was very high. There was probably 5-600 people there they must have made a fortune! I'd hazard a guess they made as much if not more from merchandise than tickets. Much of this probably from pester power! As I mentioned the circus isn't the football, but for example if ICT could make a grand or two each game doing things similar to this e.g. selling food and merch by going up and down the aisles before the game and at half time, doing face painting for a a few quid near the family section and so on, what would be the problem? I don't think it will ever happen nor do I have any clue if it would be successful or not financially however if it was shown to make a decent revenue for the club I don't see why it should be an issue. Edit- isles are quire different from aisles! There has to be a happy medium between those two extremes.

Merger Talk
It's someone who was quite prominent on this site once before. Think of a prominent namesake and work your way round there. For what it's worth, I used to think Dougal said a few things that ruffled a few feathers but weren't far off the truth. It's become a bit sad lately. Laurence, I haven't seen around for while, but when he does, he strikes as such an unpleasant man. Take issue with and argue strongly with what people post by all means, that's what the forum is for but a warning that commenting on a poster's character in this manner is personal abuse and a breach of site rules. No more please.

The world cup!
Actually, Suarez apart, I actually quite like Uruguay as a small nation with a great footballing history punching well above their weight.

Yip. That kit adapted mutatis mutandis would be fine.

The world cup!
If he does it again, which must surely be a distinct possibility, the only appropriate censure must be a two year ban.

The world cup!
Suarez banned from nine international matches and for four months from all football. Very lenient, in my view, given his previous record.

Summer transfer targets
I have yet to speak to a single ICT fan who doesn't believe that we need to bring in at least one experienced forward.

Merger Talk
In that case and that case alone count me in the 'Better Together' camp.

Merger Talk
Must be a sign of middle age but my memory fails me when it comes to recalling regular combined attendances of between 18,000 and 24,000 every second week at Kingsmills and Telford Street but, since it's a fact, there must have been. Halcyon days indeed. What a disaster that the merger took place and those tens of thousands no longer attend football matches in Inverness.

Synthetic surface and club marketing
So we should still have a heavy leather ball with lace up, goalies wearing wooly jumpers and flat caps boots should be ankle high and goal post square. These were all in place a hundred years ago. Progress happens and if synthetic pitches can save clubs going out of business and be used by the communities as well I'm all for it. Sorry Big G. Hadn't noticed your post before posting my similar effort.

Synthetic surface and club marketing
Traditionally, we had no subs, heavy lace up leather footballs, no ladies toilets at grounds, no league football in the Highlands and players who wheezed their way through 40 Woodbines a day but times change and move on.

Summer transfer targets
We just about got away with it last season but we can't possibly go into another season with just one experienced striker on the books.

World Cup Players at TCS
Nice hotel but an odd venue for a football match.

Fixtures 2014-15
Two home games pre split against each of Celtic and County. The fixture computer has been kind to us from a financial point of view. Not so good that our first two games are against the newly promoted sides who will be fired up and full of enthusiasm for the season ahead.

Only if it could be guaranteed that he would stay there....

Summer transfer targets
Doubt we can afford to have three experiened 'keepers on the books.

Summer transfer targets
Where have you heard that ?

Fixtures 2014-15
Although, to be fair to the last poster, the new SPFL is doing a fine job in carrying on it's tradition of seldom applying logic.
