  1. Rangers Celtic Hearts Aberdeen ICT Hibs St Mirren Dunfermline Kilmarnock Dundee United Falkirk Motherwell
  2. While I agree with all you say Scotty, apart from Celtic, Rangers and Hearts there is no other team in the league likely to be so much better than us next season that we can't at least aspire to finishing fourth.
  3. A lot depends on the start to the season. Any of the three mentioned clubs could struggle at the bottom as could ourselves, St Mirren or Dundee United.
  4. An open flowing cup final will indeed make a refreshing change.
  5. Sounds like good news all round.
  6. Although Liverpool are rightly favourites, I've got a feeling that West Ham might just get the better of them in tomorrow's English Cup final. My prediction 2-1 to West Ham after extra time.
  7. When was the last time Scotland scored five goals in a full international ? I seem to remember it might have been against San Marino under Craig Brown but to do so against a team ranked so far above us and with a second string squad is remarkable even in such a meaningless competition.

Why has this thread been moved to Anything Goes rather than ICT Off The Park ?
  10. All ended with a bit of a whimper though.

I'm not convinced that we would sell an extra 2,000 tickets for these games even if we had the additional capacity.
  12. All of a sudden I've developed an interest in this tournament.
  13. Difficult to arue with that.
  14. Who scored for Scotland ?
  15. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
  16. I'd happily settle for that but there'e no reason why we shouldn't start the season with our sights aimed a bit higher.
  17. Up until now the aim for each season we have been in the league system has been obvious. During our times in the lower leagues it was always to win the league or at the very least secure promotion which we managed to acheive three times in a decade. The aim for our first season in the SPL was equally obvious namely; to avoid going straight back down and I suppose the same could be said for the season just finished. Next season we need to have more ambitious aspirations than simply to stay in the league. It's a tall order but I believe that there's no reason why we shouldn't be targeting fourth place and the possible UEFA Cup place that goes with it. Celtic, Rangers and Hearts are likely to be well ahead of the pack but in my opinion there's little to choose from between the likes of ourselves, Hibs and Aberdeen and we can now legitimately aspire to be the fourth best team in the land.

The plan was always to fill in the wings of the main stand and have them covered. It's just a long time in coming.
  19. While he has a holiday home in Wester Ross, I don't think that Sir Cameron much frequents Victoria Park.
  20. For a club that often claims "sleeping giant" status, last night's crowd of 3,400 was pretty poor.
  21. Those who anted a singing area had their chance last season and blew it.
  22. A man of the people.
  23. I presume that we will be playing some tougher opposion somewhere along the line.
