  1. The only real positive was Rooney who looks like he has the potential to be a really potent striker although I'm still not convinced that he's 100% fit. I suppose the otcome might well have been different had his effort right at the start of the second half gone in. That said, it was the third dire home performance of the season. How come, if the team is meant to be so fit, that we can't sem t competein the second half of home matches on our large pitch which our super fit player ought to be able to increasingly exploit as the game goes on ?
  2. With those lugs he's certainly likely to have heard it.
  3. Given his form as a tipster, long may he continue to predict victories for the opposition.
  4. Thanks Don now I wont feel so bad come 10 to 5 tomorrow. :thumb04:
  5. I have to agree about the perils of tipping players on the basis of their youthful potential. When I first saw Martin Bavidge as a raw 17 year old, him not me, I told everyone who would listen that the lad would be a Scotland regular within 3 years.
  6. These words will probably come back to haunt me but God, I wish I hadn't said that now !
  7. Dennis deserves a reasonable reception. After all it wasn't his decision to leave the club this time around.
  8. I'm well over half way there already. The last Lab we had wasn't a chewer but did frequently indulge in the conduct alluded to by Mantis !
  9. We should follow Falkirk's example and sell all the tickets for this match, home and way, ourselves unless Celtic back down on the handling fee.
  10. I think McGuire has improved but, despite that, I'd like to see a Munro/ Duff combination given a try.
  11. To be fair, I don't believe that we have any players at the moment capable of improving the full Scotland squad although if Don Cowie continues to improve then who knows. However, the real question is whether or not he will still be an ICT player by then.
  12. A Shetland Select entered the North of Scotland Cup this season on the premis that they would agree to travel for all ties whether they were drawn away or not. Perhaps unsurprisingly, they beat Fort William in the first round before being beaten by Cove Rangers in Aberdeen.
  13. Thanks guys, We've had puppies before but none quite as destructive as this one. Looks like, unless we resort to a cage or pen as a last resort, we're simply in for months, if not years, of mayhem.
  14. Yes, I've tried the spray, she seems quite attracted by it ! Don't inform the SSPCA but I've also tried smearing surfaces with Tabasco sauce which she also seems to quite enjoy. An indoor pen is a thought but I'd rather not restrict her movement too much if possible.
  15. We have a recently aquired Labrador puppy. She's 12 weeks old and quite a delight. The good news is that she's just about house trained. The bad news is that when left on her own, especially overnight, her tendancy to cause damage rivals that of a Rangers fan on a day trip to Manchester. We've made sure that she has plenty of food and water together with a variety of toys for distraction. We've taken to leaving the radio on for "company" when she's on her own but still she chews everything she can reach including the fabric of the house. Does anyone have any suggestions, short of removing her teeth, for preventing a puppy from chewing ?
  16. Did Annan not have to travel to Wick a few seasons ago ? Clach seem to have landed a reasonable home draw.
  17. Otclassed in the final by possibly the best player of all time but he'll be a better player for the experience.
  18. A lease of that sort of duration can potentially have almost as much value as a feuhold.
