4 seasons down, how many more to go?
Maybe not. Inverness also has Inshes. Just not specified how many!

Play Offs
Derek Adams leads Morecambe to the final of the English League 2 play off. An excellent incentive to support Newport County in that final.

Play Offs
Hard to believe now that we were playing Brechin only four seasons ago in our first season back in the Championship. There fall since has been absolutely spectacular. Shame about Brora but good to see some new blood in the league in the shape of Kelty Hearts.

You have a very odd definition of awash.

4 seasons down, how many more to go?
A team with no bigger a fan base that ours from a city no longer than ours has comfortably remained in the Premiership and won both domestic cup tournaments. There is no reason to accept mid table Championship mediocrity.

Robbo Moving On...
I have a feeling that we may be looking for a cheaper option.

Robbo Moving On...
Peanut is an excellent coach. That is a good appointment for The Bairns

Robbo Moving On...
But he has easily kept you in the EPL with one of the most limited budgets.

4 seasons down, how many more to go?
The answer to that may well become clearer in the next week or so with the appointment of our new head coach. Get it right and there is no reason why we can't regain our place in the Premiership. Get it wrong and we could well find ourselves unchained from the Championship in a very different and much less palatable direction. A big and very important decision to be made very soon.

2021/22 Season
Greater representation of Highland and Lowland League teams is most welcome. Reserve of Youth teams of Premiership clubs though should have no place in this tournament.

Scot Gardiner open interview
I am sure that the fans will be watching closely to see whether this is indeed genuine rather than a cynical ploy to sell season tickets. Mr Gardiner has not proved to be the best communicator so far in his tenure. However, we know that John Robertson has genuine empathy for the fans and is an excellent communicator. Given that he no longer has the burden of coaching responsibilities, perhaps this is a role he could perform as part of his new remit.

Robbo Moving On...
Terry Butcher was the right man for the right time and raised the profile of the club and laid the foundations for the success that followed. However, even in the unlikely event he would return, he is no longer the right person and the time is not right for such an appointment quite apart from the disrespectful manner in which he engineered and conducted his disastrous move to Easter Road. An important part of our past but time to move on.

Scot Gardiner open interview
Pleased to read that we at least offered Neil McCann the job. That shows ambition despite our constrained financial circumstances. Proper, constructive and regular communication between the board and the fans is welcome and long overdue. Let's hope that there is a sincere commitment to that and not something that they are merely paying lip service to.

Hook the Fish!!
The bill for having both on the books would be monstrous.

The Rangers
In fact, it seems just a single individual who it turns out wasn't a Rangers fan at all. As usual, the BBC have distorted the coverage of this great institution and those who support it as a result of which the club are fully justified in continuing to block any coverage by the BBC for at least another decade.

Hot Toddy in Team of the Championship
Well deserved but Dave Carson and Daniel McKay are very unfortunate to be omitted.

The Rangers
Two more days have passed and still not a word of condemnation from the club. The club knew that something like this was planned. They ought to have warned in advance that anyone gathering would be banned from attending matches at Ibrox for at least ten years. The very least they can do now is is to state that such a ban will apply to anyone identified by the authorities as taking part in the gathering with anyone identified as taking part in the violence being banned for life. I have no doubt that there are decent Rangers fans and many of them but this was not a small minority. Between fifteen and twenty thousand selfish morans gathered in a city that has a spike in infection that could yet translate to the rest of the country and Prejudice us all. There is a thread that stretches through Barcelona, via Manchester and now, twice this year in the middle of a global pandemic to a devastated George Square which has to be broken and only strong words and even stronger actions from the club can do so. A contuing silence is just not good enough.

Hook the Fish!!
Given that we are searching for a new manager and half a squad for next season, I am anticipating there will be a fair bit to talk about over the next few weeks.
-
The Rangers
The police, the public and politicians have rightly and vocally condemned the appalling scenes of 'celebration' witnessed in Glasgow yesterday. As for a reaction from the club, the silence from Ibrox has been deafening.

Hook the Fish!!
He will have been earning ten times what we can currently afford Not a remotely realistic prospect.
-
Hook the Fish!!
I would have him back assuming he would be willing to return within our current pay structure. He was badly treated the last time he was at the club and a return could well prove much more fruitful for both parties than his first spell.

Robbo Moving On...
Neil McCann assisted by Billy Dodds would be my first choice. Failing that, I would go for a young coach with potential and ambition. Any lack of experience could be compensated for by Robbo's sage advice.
-
Robbo Moving On...
Perhaps the best of both worlds. Firstly, huge thanks to Robbo for his efforts as manager over the last four years but perhaps towards the end of that tenure it was beginning not to work so well either for the club or for him personally. This way, we can look for a fresh approach to the coaching side yet retain Robbo's immense experience and contacts within the game as well as demonstrating loyalty on both sides. Has all the potential to be a win win situation.

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
and a possible contempt of court. The matter is subject to an ongoing criminal prosecution so nothing can be said that could be seen to prejudice that. That said, since there is no suggestion at the moment that he is coming to us, so there is no reason to comment at all.

Season 2020/21 - the inquest
I could not agree more. We have our disagreements, often profound, but we almost always do so in a respectful and polite manner and that, whilst never bad before compared to other sites, has improved greatly during the pandemic with minimal personal abuse and very little 'red dotting'. One of the very few aspects of 2020-21 that it would be welcome to see carry on into the future. Welcome back Johndo and thank you and all the hundreds of thousands of NHS staff and carers who have worked tirelessly for well over a year to get us through.
