  1. I see from today's paper that Inverness have a team in the first division of the Scottish Womeans' League. I seem to recall that ICT ladies were disbanded a few seasons ago. Does the current Womans' team have any association with ICT ?
  2. Typically of Tony Mowbry's teams, the Baggies seem to be blowing hot and cold just now. If Bristol Rovers catch them on a day they're blowing cold they could well be on their way to Wembley. On the other hand if W.B.A. are blowing hot on the day; well just look at what happened to Coventry !
  3. Time for Niculae to drop to the bench. He hasn't had a decent performance away from home since Brewster's first game back in charge away to Hibs at Easter Road and even then he contrived to miss a penalty.
  4. Yes, It's a pity that comments were made earlier in the season which caused Rankin to become unsettled in Inverness.
  5. Pity Barry's not ten years younger.
  6. They would if our joint sponsors made it worth their while. I'd still prefer , if possible, to have a crack at the Intertoto Cup.
  7. Stock car racing on a sunday afternoon not much more than a hefty Grant Munro clearance from from where the TCS is now.
  8. I would certainly attend the home leg and, depending on location and date, might arrange a short break to coincide with the away.
  9. What are your memories of entertainment that might be considered unique to Inverness ? I have in mind such wonders as John Worth's annual summer show at the Cummings Hotel. Goodness knows what messsage that sent to visitors about Highland life and culture ! My own favourite childhood memories of being entertained are both cinema related. Firstly the weekly childrens' matinee at the Playhouse cinema and secondly Jimmy Nairn's wonderful annual christmas grotto there which much have breached much of Walt Disney's expensively obtained copyright at one fell swoop. Later on therewas the Teneriffe Trio at the Caley who began to sound pretty good after two or three blue agoons.
  10. Martin Canning has now signed a n 18 month contract with Hibs. Pity he might have been a useful addition to the defence.
  11. Did you not arrive in time to see the first half ?
  12. Maybe we should have signed Elton instead of Marius !
  13. Yes, well done Bristol Rovers. Hard luck on Preston going down to an injury time winner after having a penalty saved. Still 5 teams from outwith the top division going into the draw for the quarter finals. Assuming they avoid either of the big two then Wembley beckons. When was the last time, if ever, as many " lower division" teams featured in the draw at this stage ?
  14. It's that time of year again when ICT will shortly have to decide whether to enter UEFA's diddy competition. It seems that Hibs and Falkirk have expressed an interest so far so the first task would be finishing higher up the SPL than either of these rivals. I seem to remember that the last time Brewster was in charge we did express an intention to enter but were pipped by Hibs who finished that season well ahead of ourselves. My own view is that the training camps in Italy while very professional don't seemed to have cured our age old fault of being notoriously slow starters, this season being a particular case in point. I would far rather us try at least for a this competition which would give the players at least two guaranteed competitive matches before the season proper gets under way and the bonus of giving the fans at least a taste of European football. As far as I'm aware we don't have the barrier of any ageing rock stars standing in our way this year !
  15. If the lad is confident of three offers at the end of the season then, from his personal point of view, he's quite right to keep his options open.
