  1. Four ponts from these fixtures would set us up nicely for a battle with Hibs, Falkirk and Hearts and Aberdeen for what look like two remaining spots in the top six.
  2. The most positive aspect, for me, was Imrie, he's not the finished article but he's committed and seems to have great potential. Could be ?50,000 very well spent.
  3. Hibs beating Aberdeen now. If that's that end result we drop to 7th which I suppose is better than a draw which would see both tems overtake us reducing us to 8th place, Just goes to show how tight it is in the mddle of the table just now.
  4. Kingsmills

    wyness

    I doubt that very much.
  5. I suspect, if we want him, we'll have to act sooner rather than later. Pity if we miss the boat by dithering.
  6. Sophia makes an even more valid point ! Seriously it's great from time to time to dwell on the past but the fact of the matter is that we are enjoying watching full time players play at the highest domestic level in Inverness which is something which would never have happened without the pains oof the merger. Caley and Thisle both had glorious episodes in their respective pasts and, as a Thistle supprter I can only concede that in terms of past success Caley enjoyed more such spells than the Jags but at their height these consisted of winning the Highland League and going on the odd run, sometimes as far as the last Sixteen of the Scottish Cup. Elgin went one better thaneither of us ever did. That local success in over two centuries of combined history is nothing compared to what has been achieved in less than a decade and a half since. Very many of those now regularly attending the TCS never set foot in Kingsmills or Telford Street, except in the latter case to buy a bed or a bookcase. Very definately time to look forward rather than back.
  7. There won't be another footballing day like it unless and until we win the Scottish Cup ! Although, beating St Johnstone to win the First Division was a close second but the edge was taken of that just a little as nobody then knew whether we were going to apply to take our place in the SPL still less whether we would be allowed to.
  8. It's all a conspiracy by florists ang greetings card manufacturers. Roses which were ?18 a dozen last week are suddenly ?4.50 a stem today. A brief restbite and the same set of conspirators present us with mothers' day in two weeks time. Between the two of them I suspect that there wont be much change out of ?300. At least it's almost a full year until until christmas !
  9. If we beat Dundee United we will be back in the top six. Hibs and Aberdeen can't both take tree points.
  10. A stamina sapping 30 minutes of extra time wouldn't have gone amiss either.
  11. I agree with Gringo. I'd very much like Clach who are are last remaining direct link to the town's footballing heritage to survive but I can't see how such an arrangement would benifit ICT.
  12. The P & J carry the same story this morning. Sorry to see him go. I always thought, when on form, he added a little something to the midfield that none of the others had. I'm sure he'll do very well in the Second or First Division.
  13. Strikes me that Watt has being pretty consistant for the reserves since coming back from injury. We're still short of at least one defender. I'd like to see him feature in the first team squad to see whether he's woth trying to retain for next season. Personally, I've only seen him play once; in the CIS match against Arbroath and I thought he had a very decent game.
  14. Just a rehash of their story the wek before really.
