Genuinely pleased for County who now look like virtual certainties to return to the First Division at the first time of asking. As Gringo says, it can't do ICT any harm to have our feeder team playing at a higher level.

I doubt if anyone at the club has been naive enough to agree a bonus structure which doesn't reward a top six place. Our players are relatively well paid but far from wealthy so, of couse there would be a temptation not to fight too hard for a top six finish if a bottom six place was likely to be more rewarding. For that very reason, the bonus system will be structured to better reward a top six finish irrespective of results in the last five games. The people who run our club are not fools.
