  1. Leaving aside any suggestions of impropriety, surely creating a very senior and presumably well paid management position and making an appointment of an outsider without advertising the position and replacing long standing and popular caterers without the matter going out to tender is, at the very least, very poor and shoddy business practice as indeed, in the past, was sacking a coach with a long standing relationship with the club by text message. Worryingly, very basic lessons do not seem to be being learned.
  2. Thanks for the clarification Scotty.
  3. Does the club have the broadcasting rights to do this ?
  4. I suppose, that it never occurred to the BBC to host the event in either Inverness or Aberdeen. The only surprise is it's not Glasgow.
  5. Saves on the cost of policing/ stewarding and, since that cost is deducted from our share of the revenue, I can live with that.
  6. The SFA not customer (fan) friendly. Surely not!
  7. We have tried lowering prices to attract more fans in the past and it doesn't work. The prices we charge at the moment are not enough to remotely come close to breaking even. The stark commercial reality is that we can't afford to charge less.
  8. Third place would give us home advantage in the second leg of the first play off round which probably gives a slight edge. A good and professional first 75 minutes or so with the last quarter of an hour being a timely wake up call that we need to concentrate and focus from first whistle to last if promotion is to be realised. All in all a very satisfactory evening putting a wee bit of daylight between ourselves and the Pars. Need to consolidate now against a stubborn Falkirk side still dangerous opponents while battling against the drop. Finally, a word of praise for the officials, there has been some dreadful refereeing this season but I thought that Tuesday's referee was very competent indeed.
  9. The cup run is the icing on the cake. Promotion still has to be the priority. Saturday's game against Falkirk is every bit as important as the semi final and every bit as deserving of backing.
  10. There are all sorts of reasons why fans don't attend. To accuse them of not being fans is unreasonable and unfair.
  11. Each of us trying to enrhuse and persuade at least one person who would not otherwise attend would be a good start.
  12. Kingsmills posted a topic in Caley Thistle
Seven league games, four of them at home and a possible three home play off matches to come. With our current form, promotion is a real possibility. That possibility could be enhanced with larger and more vocal home support, the away support is fantastic and has never been an issue. It's clear folk have stayed away for a variety of reasons from issues with the board to our poor home form and results earlier in the season but it's time for those folk to return and play their part. An extra thousand or so fans loudly backing the team would inspire the players and be the difference between another season in the Championship and a possible end to full time football and a much brighter prospect in the Premiership. Whatever your reasons for staying away, come back and let's rediscover TOGETHERNESS.
  13. and, if they do realise, they certainly don't seem to care.
  14. I suggest that we punish their fans by sending them home in a state of misery a week Tuesday.
  15. To be fair, I doubt if we would have taken many more to a Challenge Cup final in Dingwall.
  16. Agree that we have the potential to overtake Ayr but, at the same time, it would be highly dangerous to forget Dunfermline. Effectively three teams playing for the remaining two play off places assuming that Dundee United do not implode.
  17. Given the circumstances that day, one of our best results ever.
  18. Barry Wilson's goal against St Johnstone that secured our first promotion to the top tier. Also Brian Thomson scoring a real screamer into the top corner against Stenhousemuir in our second or third season. Think he might have got a hat trick that day.
  19. A big week and a bit ahead. No reason why, on current form, we can't win all three.
  20. Would agree with that. Great to see Doran back close to his pre injury best. On current form, he is the best player in the division and would stroll through the Premiership. Hopefully, with ICT next season.
  21. Nice to get our game out of the way and put some pressure on the Pars. Two of the best goals we've scored all season.
  22. Yup, confident that, if we keep it tight, we can get a point from that one.
  23. Do you think we can all enter into a pact not to mention the Scotland international team unless it's the women's game?
  24. The South Stand is the Main Stand where the tunnel is and the trophy is presented. The East Stand is behind the goal which was the ICT end at the 2015 final.
  25. Or, for that matter, opinion as merely opinion if it is of a defamatory nature and you have no evidence to substantiate it.
