Having beaten East Kilbride in the play off semi final Cove Rangers now play the SPFL's bottom club Berwick Rangers for a place in League 2 next season. A question born out of my ignorance. Were it not for the timely intervention of David Sutherland the seminal event of 1999 would not have been our famous victory at Parkhead but our administration or, quite possibly, liquidation. Before he came in we were carrying a debt more than twice our annual turnover and the bank had run out of patience. Absolutely agree. The real pity is that neither he or Alan Savage could put aside their respective egos and work together constructively and in colaberation . Had that been the case, I doubt we would be in the position we are in today. However, had it not been for David Sutherland's contributions I doubt we would be watching full time football at all.
