  2. Just a little more consideration would go a long way.
  3. Sadly, indicative of the appalling lack of communication between the board and the fans these days. Hopefully, that will now improve under the new CEO. The last CEO seemed totally uninterested in ordinary supporters.
  4. I disagree. Deduct points and the majority of decent fans who tend to do little or nothing would soon be pointing out the minority and the problem would cease. Absolutely, the same goes for the disgraceful racism which is creeping back into the game.
  5. He should, nevertheless, be given a start for at least one of the final two regular league games to give those you are more effective and consistent a rest and to protect them from the chance of injury or suspension. A few of the youngsters should get a run out for the same reason.
  6. I have little interest in how County do unless they are playing us. I have no issue with them doing well and having a wealthy benefactor. I certainly wish we had the same. Roy McGregor has the interests of his club and their fans at heart and I admire him for that. They certainly have a much stronger connection between the boardroom and the stands than we have in recent seasons. That said, whilst wishing County congratulations on almost certainly achieving promotion at the first time of asking, I now intend to ignore them and concentrate on our own efforts to get back into the Premiership. Not to match County but entirely for our own sakes and the same of the future of our club.
  7. Enjoying two small glasses of shop brand cola and perusing these posts for any mention of him.
  8. Either you are deaf or don't attend home games.
  9. In a word, no.
  10. Our very best team playing at their very best.
  11. Were it not for the dire financial implications, I wouldn't mind being in the Championship. Decent football, competitive games where everyone can beat every one else on their day, neither of the ugly sisters and some good away days. Just a pity that we are a long way from breaking even there.
  12. Two games to go of the regular season and still every single team in the league could be either promoted or relegated. That must be entirely without precedent.
  13. Pleased to see Patrick taking full points at Somerset Park. Whilst not vital, it would still be to our advantage to pip Ayr for third place.
  14. Very true but most of us have careers lasting forty or more years to make provision for our future. Professional footballers have twenty years if they are very fortunate after which they generally have few qualifications to do much else.
  15. Maybe not but he has been consistently reliable all season. It would, for me, have been a close call between him and Col Donaldson had Polworth been on the shortlist.
  16. A bit of s break before the next "biggest game of the season so far". The next two games are probably the least important games of the season so far with the only real objectives being to avoid further injuries or disciplinary issues. However, after that we have the biggest games, not only of the season, but possibly in our history.
  17. With any luck, we will be looking forward to the next eight.
  18. I am hoping that that is a temporary measure pending finding somewhere to live in the Inverness area. Otherwise, it suggests a worrying lack of commitment.
  19. With possibly the most important few games in our history on the horizon, is it really helpful to open a thread only designed to criticise one of our own players?
  20. .and have tended to improve their bank balances.
  21. Contracts for no more than a season are a terrible idea. If a player excels during the course of that single season then he will be off to more lucrative pastures with recompense to the club. We will have to rebuild every single season. We need continuity.
  22. We could do with some of our own players being similarly streetwise.
  23. I hope that he can recreate that form for the final games of this season. Much as I appreciate his efforts over the years and wish him well, I don't really care what sort of form he will be in for Motherwell.
  24. Keep this on topic please.
  25. He probably needs to be careful about where, in Inverness, he goes for a haircut.
