  1. How many attendees constitute a quorum ?
  2. The court records tend to be fairly comprehensive. A bit of a mystery.
  3. Must have been some bridge tournament. Seems that there was over a thousand people there.
  4. Well deserved. Something, I think on which we can all agree.
  5. Not a great first half but the second half was much better and we were efficient and clinical. A bonus to see two of our youngsters come on and make positive contributions. Neither looked out of place in a first team context which bodes well for the future. Only negative note was the size of the crowd. I know it was a chilly evening but the fact that we got our smallest ever crowd for a home Scottish Cup tie is a concern and is a part of a worrying trend. In fact, in my near fifty years of attending Scottish Cup ties in Inverness involving Thistle, Caley, Clach and ourselves, that is probably the lowest crowd I have been part of. A win on Friday against Ayr and a few for displays like the second half may start to reverse the fan drain.
  6. Don't usually do midweek for practical reasons but, as I've never seen Edinburgh City before, I intend to add them to my list.
  7. A good number of people had a hand in breaking it and over a number of seasons now. If it is to be fixed, and I believe it can, it needs a good number of people, from the top down, communicating with each other positively and pulling once more in the same direction whatever their past differences may have been.
  8. What makes you think we didn't make an effort to sign Shankland ?
  9. There are many authors of our current demise. Those who were too loyal to Foran for too long are among them but so was Yogi Hughes. If that is being deluded then I have been deluded for a very long time.
  10. For once, I, at least partially, agree with you. Livingston did indeed get promoted last season with a smaller budget than us and Ayr are leading the division this season also with a smaller budget although they have a striker on course to score forty goals this season which certainly helps ! Unfortunately, we don't possess such an asset which is why strengthening in January is essential if we are going to retain any real hope of promotion.
  11. It's a relief in a way that the unbeaten run is over as it had been masking a level of mediocrity all season. Not the worst we have played but the finishing, or lack of it, was as dire as ever. To lose at home after taking an early lead against the second worst team in the league tells it's own story. Somehow or other, we are clinging on to the final promotion play off spot but, if nothing changes, that will surely not be the case for much longer and a third successive season in the Championship, this time with no parachute playment, will be inevitable. I appreciate that things are hugely stretched from a financial point of view but, if the current regime have any ambition at all, resourses will have to be found from somewhere to strengthen the squad during the January transfer window. The season is still salvageable but not with the current squad of players.
  12. If we could afford a bigger squad we could probably risk having a couple of injury prone players. However, as our squad is, of necessity, wafer thin, that is a luxury we can't afford. I would still be inclined to risk keeping Austin but would punt Beith to anyone willing to take him
  13. A worrying and growing disconnect between those now running the club and the fans. That really needs to be addressed as a club of our size can only really succeed with everyone pulling together.
  14. I agree. Let's hope he has the courage to stick with them if and when the absentees are available again.
  15. I was brought up in Ardersier. I possess no class ?
  16. Well done. We all get it wrong sometimes. A sincere apology always goes a very long way to putting things right.
  17. Wholly agree. If a post bores you it's a simple matter merely to ignore it.
  18. and, why is it not about winning ?
  19. Scarlet, a midweek replay against Edinburgh City where we have to split the gate money will not generate any money for the club. It may well end up costing us money.
  20. Two ways of looking at it. Most optimistically, an upset and embarrassment avoided with an opportunity to rectify things the week after next. A warning but not a disaster.
  21. One contributor has been banned from posting on this thread for inflammatory and inappropriate language. Can we keep it on topic please.
  22. Well, the relief is that we are still in the competition and have a second bite at the cherry. I know that the league is, as it should be, priority. However, it will be hugely dispiriting and confidence sapping for fans and players alike to go out of all three cup tournaments at the first hurdle. We really really need to make sure that doesn't happen. That said, well done to the part timers for forcing a replay. By the look of the stats late in the game, they deserved it.
  23. Scottish Cup day has arrived. Maybe a bit earlier in the season than we are used to but always different and exciting no matter the stage in the competition or the opponents. Let's hope we can manage a few more of them than we did last season.
  24. I see that our 2015 Cup Final opponents have gone out of this year's tournament at the first time of asking against lower league opponents. With the prospect of a winnable home tie in prospect, we need to make sure we don't follow suit. We need to bear in mind that a home tie against East Kilbride will be as much of an incentive to Edinburgh City as it is to us.
