  1. Was ours better then?
  2. Not sure how last seasons start was superior to this. We may have had one more goal for but we conceded two. This season 4 wins and a draw with five clean sheets has to be better surely. As to the next three games I believe we can take at least seven points and still keep a clean sheet. In a league table +8 is better than +7. Scoring goals is also considered more important than not conceding.
  3. Hissy plays for them now too.
  4. glad we went with robbo then, couldn't see any of those candidates doing as well.
  5. Hurlford beat Edinburgh Uni 5-0 away in the replay. Just shows they should have had it wrapped up in the first game but well done to Edinburgh for taking it so far. Hurlford v Clach will be an interesting one, I'll go for another replay between the two of them.
  6. Pele was a good contender for the y'know award. Check the feb 8th VHS for evidence.
  7. I turned up at Ibrox trying to get into the away end and was refused because i never purchased a ticket before hand. I then bought a ticket for the Rangers end. I would rather be in the oppositions end than not at all. I don't really have a problem with it now, it's still money in our pockets so whats the hassle. Perhaps these Celtic fans were located locally and never thought they would need to buy tickets before hand? Or can you pay at the game at Celtic games at the TCS? Either way as long as they aren't starting fights i'm ok with it.
  8. Some decent ties there. Ties between the HL and the LL will be interesting given the fact there is a League Two playoff up for grabs this season. I would say so far the Highland League is looking more likely to come out on top. Absolutely gutted it's on the same day as Partick away, I would quite liked to have had a wee trip to one of the smaller grounds for their big occasion.
  9. Won't be a BBC if there is a Yes vote. Licence fees are decided at Westminster. Don't want to derail this topic onto politics, speaking from a footballing perspective only/ Your mistaken. Scotland if going Independent are looking to create a Scottish Broadcasting Service using the assets and staff that they quite rightly will have a share of currently working at the BBC Scotland. A partnership with SBS and the BBC would be likely which would enable Scottish viewers to watch programmes from the BBC.
  10. Your right i thought the Rose would win that one, but i was right the previous round when i said they'd beat Nairn.... :P Absolutely love the early rounds of the Scottish Cup. Hoping the non league sides represent themselves well this year.
  11. Draw for the next round is tomorrow i believe....
  12. Yeah i would say Hurlford should have finished that one off especially with them being at Home and freshers week hasn't even started! Still think they'll win the replay though.
  13. I was just thinking about players that we have brought through from our youth team over the years who have actually made it in the side and have been successful. There isn't many that i can think of but recently we seem to be having a greater success than in the past. Who would you say has been a success and does taking a 16/17 year old from another club count as our own or not? Ross Tokely - obvious choice but was snatched from Huntly when he was 17? Richard Hastings - Not sure of his background before ICT but seeing as he joined us very early on in our existence and he was our record youngest player for so long he has to be in the running. Graeme Shinnie - Where did he play before us? Grant Munro and Nick Ross have also made a mark in the first team and done well, and now we have Ryan Christie.
  14. Outsiders call us Inverness. Nearly everyone i know in the central belt know us as that.
  15. I heard Stevie was away? Bummer for St Cuthberts. I'm sure they got drawn away to Talbot last year. Didn't realise, I was going to take in a Bo'ness game this year if they ended up playing in the West as well just to get a final look. http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/local-football/steven-hislop-quits-bo-ness-after-manager-row-1-3441551 Seemingly fell out with the manager - but he's looking for another club! I think he has signed for Bonnyrigg Rose.
  16. I believe so now yes, goin by pie and bovril I cant think of any other team that has not at least previewed their strips now barrin us :-( Clearly saving the best till last. It'll be here when it's here. Dont see the issue really. Why does anyone need it before the start of the season anyway? who wears the replica shirts? Mostly children and teenagers. If their teams top isn't out during the summer they maybe swayed by a premiership kit or a barca top that is available in the city centre. Most kids like to have their top for the summer holidays, I loved those endless summer nights as a kid playing football and wearing my favourite new top. Having them for going away abroad and showing off your teams colours and being proud of it. I think a few people on here forget what it's like to be a kid. Get the shirts out for the younger generation! We all know we can wait a few extra weeks but it's a bit rubbish for them.
  17. At least my small team (Arthurlie) has their new away kit out. Not bad beating an Spfl team when your a non-league side. No release date? If its delayed then fair enough but this seems to happen every year. You would think they would at least let us preview the shirt if its going to take this long for it to become available.
  18. I heard Stevie was away? Bummer for St Cuthberts. I'm sure they got drawn away to Talbot last year. Didn't realise, I was going to take in a Bo'ness game this year if they ended up playing in the West as well just to get a final look.
  19. Comfortable wins for Auchinleck and Hurlford in there i think. Stevie Hislop's Bo'ness gets a bye to the next round.
  20. I actually think Dougal is alright, on the wind up or not I find a lot of his posts amusing.
  21. They may well have done just as well as Ross County, or then again they might have been like Elgin. Either way I can see why some old caley fans could be annoyed. Waiting a few more years would almost certainly got them into the set up eventually.
  22. Ever wondered if there was another team out there called Caledonian thistle? I found them. Hamilton Caledonian Thistle are a female team who were in a cup final last week against Renfrew ladies.
  23. I've watched the Braehead clan a few times on a Saturday night. Not an ice hockey fan at all but do enjoy sports. What draws me in is a competitive live match in the warmth with beer! Price isn't too bad either, usually Around £16.
  24. Why not? Just curious. Seeing us play down the Bught would be brilliant i think.
  25. Eagle you are twenty two years to late to see Caley play in Perth Caley were defeated 3-0 in a Scottish cup tie after a 2-2 draw in the first game in Inverness Anyway congratulations to St Johnstone I'm delighted for my Perth friends I wonder was Davie from caleyjagsforever at the game decked out in his Arab regalia Dougal We've played in Perth loads since then, we even played the Challenge cup final there....Where have you been
