  1. Seems like a pretty even game so far but Linlithgow are winning 1-0 at half time against Nairn. No real surprises so far but i'd be expecting Brora at home to beat 9 man Vale of Leithen!
  2. Rooney has scored tonight, Oldham are winning 4-1
  3. Have they? Lets just keep put it back to the way it was in 2003, Maybe a roofed enclosure and then use it for the Scottish and League Cups.
  4. Probably just St Mirren. Hearts are already doing well this season so should sneak out of the danger zone. Not convinced there is 2 teams in the Championship good enough to be promoted this season so can see the playoff going to the premiership.
  5. Was in good form for Swindon when Di Canio left and thought he had earned a new deal. Now at Oldham and scored a double a couple weeks ago. Not sure how well he is performing for them though.
  6. Well said, I'm far more excited now knowing they are in the toughest group out of the lot than if they were playing Benfica, Marseille and Bucharest. Will be some great games to watch but whether or not they'll be able to pull off some shockers again is another story.
  7. So if we become Independent do we get our own passports? As i was born in England but raised in the highlands would i be entitled to a Scottish passport?
  8. Just a question....I know we ain't Celtic supporters but if so would you rather Champs League group stages with a slim chance at last 16 or Europa League knowing you may get another cup final?
  9. I reckon it'll actually be tight between Ajax, Celtic and Milan. But still think Celtic will finish bottom, Ajax are quite strong at the moment and will do well while Milan aren't as strong as before but still have the quality to qualify.
  10. GROUP A: Man United + Bayer Leverkusen GROUP B: Real Madrid + Juventus GROUP C: PSG + Benfica GROUP D: Bayern Munich + Man City GROUP E: Chelsea + Schalke GROUP F: Dortmund + Arsenal GROUP G: Atletico Madrid + Porto GROUP H: Barcelona + AC Milan In that order, i'd be pretty surprised if that doesn't happen to be honest. It seems pretty straight forward.
  11. On paper we should win this one! However this is one of the toughest draws we could have got. We know better than anyone about the romance of the cup and if we aren't at full strength and giving it our all we'll slip up.
  12. Stranraer or Dumbarton away please. Livingston away after that. Anything else is dodgy and i'd prefere a home tie.
  13. David Davis and Roman Golobart from loans.
  14. Whittaker is doing well for Norwich, mulgrew is decent too so it's hard for shinnie, what he is though is arguably the best player to come through from the youth team in the history of ict. IMO he's better than Grant.
  15. Yeah, Wick reckon they'll lose around £5,000 playing the tie! They'll have to stay overnight on the Friday, maybe in Edinburgh, (or maybe not if the Festival's still on!) Nairn have a real tough one away to Linlithgow Rose, but Brora will be pleased with a home game and a very winnable one vs. Vale of Leithen. Lossie v Culter is interesting as it pits the North's top Junior club against a struggling Highland League side. Was looking for Cove but then remembered they've got a bye! (Along with Formartine, Dalbeattie and Whitehill Welfare*) *Mantis's favourite team! Nairn and Brora will walk over their opponents I'll take that bet. Linlithgow will beat Nairn fairly comfortably i would reckon. Linlithgow are a poor side did you watch the SJC final? Yeah i was at the game, up until that game Linlithgow were unbeaten ALL season. They won their league comfortably and were only beaten 1-0 in the cup by the greatest junior club there is. They had an off day, it happens. Junior sides usually make it to the 3rd round of the Scottish Cup, until they reach teams from the 2nd and 1st divisions when things are just a little too much for them. I will be putting my money on Linlithgow for the Nairn game anyway, They as well as Auchinleck should be able to handle most of the HL teams i reckon.

  18. Paisley is defo not apart of Glasgow, as much as i like to wind the locals up by saying it.
  19. Obviously it would be best to play Montrose or Dumbarton at home, I'd quite like Morton away though. Always enjoy going to Cappielow.

  22. Pretty poor losing that with a relatively strong side.
  23. Quite happy with this actually, would like to keep tabs on him for another couple years and see how he progresses. Interesting to see how he does but i've got a feeling even the first is too difficult for him.
  24. His favourite syrup is maple syrup. That counts these days.
  25. So the leagues will now be called Scottish premiership. Scottish championship. Scottish league one. Scottish league two. I wonder how long it took them to come up with that? Are they trying to kid us on the leagues have been revamped here? Also the new SPFL logo has been ripped off, it looks Exactly like the Singapore national lion logo except different colours and facing the other way... Looks like Doncaster has paid a graphics artist to come up with a half assed job and copy someone else's, hold on the English leagues are named that too aren't they?
