As mentioned above it's to do with some Subway shops catering to Halal specs. So removing pork and stocking animals who have been prepared in the halal manner. There is a lot of poor information about this. To prepare an animal via the halal method in the UK the animal is normally shock stunned and has it's throat cut. This is the same method for normal abattoir animal slaughter. The only difference being is the animal must be blessed in accordance with Halal by a Muslim...Jew or Christian. I can't see what the fuss is really. As for Subway as our sponsor... Bit gutted. I wanted a completely different bread American company.... bimbobread.jpg Halal meat means the animal is NOT stunned I understand, rather just slitting it's throat mechanically in a factory. This is against British laws and because it's to do with religion they get away with it. It's a lot of nonsense really. The eat fresh part of the logo is almost certainly going to be on the top, I've seen a few tops over the months with subway on them and they all seem to have them. I actually think it looks alright and I'm happy with such a well known brand committing to us.
  2. Doubt they would have been flying out of the door if Butcher was in charge, even he couldn't get people through the gates to watch ICT. Interested to know who you think our best player is?
  3. When do we get our bounce?
  4. Playing Motherwell away is never going to be easy, We never win there and our record against them as a whole is terrible. I've gave up expecting anything from this season and will fully judge Hughes next season. A typical 0-0 draw with St Johnstone would be great.
  5. Hissy scored his 50th goal for Bo ness united today.
  6. Makes it really interesting in the bottom half, But just think, had it not been for the introduction of the play offs this season it would all be pretty meaningless. To be fair, Ross County's Roy MacGregor deserves great credit for that in being one of only two chairmen brave enough to hold out against the bizarre 8-8-8 format that we were told by Doncaster, Milne and company was the only show in town. I'd still rather the 8-8-8.
  7. Bo'ness United 3-0 Tayport (Steven Hislop)
  8. Brill Raven warren meekings tremarco Draper tansey Doran Ross Watkins Mckay
  9. I'll go for 0 points and stay 5th...
  10. I'll be watching Arthurlie who are in a relegation dogfight at the moment, Looks likely they'll be going down for the first time in a long time.
  11. It needs to be a Aberdeen v Rangers final and us to finish 4th for us to get Europe.
  12. To be fair Adam's has a point. Tremarco should have been sent off and at 1-1 they could have easily scored from the penalty to go ahead, if only the referee noticed it was inside the box.
  13. Last year I played an 11s game at airdries stadium that we hired out. 22 of us paid something like a tenner each to play in a professional stadium with a ref. the quality of the artificial pitch was very decent I thought and if we were to rent out the stadium very much like what airdrie do then it would be a good bit of business. With them having so many clubs around them it is always in use. We tried booking it last month and it was constantly booked with teams like Motherwell and st mirren training on it.
  14. BT Sports. Why didn't i check that earlier Oh well, at least i got to see County equalising....
  15. Ross and Watkins/Williams should be starting every game, especially with Doran out. Just curious, what teams are/were successful without wingers?
  16. We need more central midfielders!!!

Agreed, Not actually as bad as i first thought. It just shows how good we were playing before that. It shows the obvious gulf between Celtic, then Aberdeen Motherwell and Dundee Utd. After that its not that different and i'd imagine it to always be like this.
  18. Yeah he was an Austrian right back, wasn't terrible but wasn't really worth remembering either. Total apppearances for our defenders for that season were... Tokely 31 Shinnie 29 Gillet 27 Golobart 21 Piermayr 19 Meekings 19 Proctor 10 Hogg 10 Aldred 2
  19. Guess that'll be Esson then
  20. Like in Football Manager where at the end of the season it gives you your team for the overall season i was wondering what our first XI would be for the past few seasons based on appearances for that year. I took note of everyone that played and slotted in the players with the most appearances for that season although i think some of the stats may be wrong ( i took them from this website ) Do they seem right? 02/03 Mark Brown Ross Tokely Bobby Mann Grant Munro Stuart Golabek Richie Hart Russell Duncan Roy McBain Barry Robson Dennis Wyness Paul Ritchie Subs Stuart McCaffrey, Charlie Christie, Stevie Hislop, Liam Keogh, Michael Fraser 03/04 Championship Winning side Mark Brown Ross Tokely Bobby Mann Stuart McCaffrey Stuart Golabek Richie Hart Russell Duncan Roy McBain Barry Wilson David Bingham Paul Ritchie Subs Liam Keogh, Stevie Hislop, Darran Thomson, Grant Munro, Michael Fraser 04/05 Mark Brown Ross Tokely Grant Munro Darren Dods Stuart Golabek Richie Hart Roy McBain Russell Duncan Barry Wilson Graham Bayne Juanjo Subs Liam Keogh, Stuart McCaffrey, Ian Black, Bryan Prunty, Michael Fraser 05/06 Mark Brown Ross Tokely Darren Dods Grant Munro Richard Hastings Barry Wilson Russell Duncan Ian Black Roy McBain Craig Dargo Dennis Wyness Subs Craig Brewster, Alan Morgan, Stuart Golabek, David Proctor, Michael Fraser 06/07 Mark Brown Ross Tokely Grant Munro Darren Dods Richard Hastings Barry Wilson John Rankin Russell Duncan Roy McBain Graham Bayne Craig Dargo Subs Ian Black, Dennis Wyness, Stuart McCaffrey, Richie Hart, Michael Fraser 07/08 Michael Fraser Ross Tokely Grant Munro Phil McGuire Richard Hastings Don Cowie Russell Duncan Ian Black Roy McBain Marius Niculae Dennis Wyness Subs Barry Wilson, David Proctor, Graham Bayne, Dougie Imrie, Zbigniew Malkowski 08/09 Ryan Esson David Proctor Ross Tokely Grant Munro Richard Hastings Don Cowie Ian Black Russell Duncan Roy McBain Dougie Imrie Richie Foran Subs Lionel Djebi-Zadi, Andy Barrowman, Pavels Mihadjuks, Iain Vigurs, Michael Fraser 09/10 Ryan Esson Ross Tokely Grant Munro Nauris Bulvitis Stuart Golabek Lee Cox David Proctor Johnny Hayes Dani Sanchez Richie Foran Adam Rooney Subs Russell Duncan, Eric Odhiambo, Lionel Djebi-Zadi, Daniel Stratford, Kyle Allison 10/11 Stuart Duff Ross Tokely Grant Munro Graeme Shinnie Nick Ross Lee Cox Johnny Hayes Eric Odhiambo Richie Foran Adam Rooney Subs Russell Duncan, Kenny Gillet, Aaron Doran, Chris Hogg, Jonny Tuffey 11/12 Ryan Esson Thomas Piermayr, Ross Tokely Roman Golobart Graeme Shinnie Greg Tansey Nick Ross Johnny Hayes Andy Shinnie Richie Foran Gregory Tade Subs Kenny Gillet, Billy Mckay, Josh Meekings, David Davis, Jonny Tuffey 12/13 Antonio Reguero David Raven Gary Warren Josh Meekings Graeme Shinnie Ross Draper Owain Tudor Jones Aaron Doran Andy Shinnie Richie Foran Billy Mckay Subs Ryan Esson, Phillip Roberts, Nick Ross, Daniel Devine, Shane Sutherland 13/14 Dean Brill David Raven Josh Meekings Gary Warren Graeme Shinnie Ross Draper Richie Foran Aaron Doran Nick Ross James Vincent Billy Mckay Subs Marley Watkins, Carl Tremarco, Greg Tansey, Danny Williams, Ryan Esson As said i think there are some mistakes in the stats, having a quick look i don't recall Tudor Jones playing for us last season although it states he had 39 appearances. So i would suggest Nick Ross replaced him, with him moving places with Foran.
