  4. 0-0 ht not very inspiring apparently
  5. sounds like a poor game probably typical with the way both sides have been playing there was bound to be a tighter game for both teams
  6. haha "gregory tade clean through he will probably miss..... he has" john robertson open all mics
  7. john robertson says good away support today hope we have a few more to give a crowd this game deserves
  8. haha was he actually at the derby. granted they had more possession in the second half but they didn't really create that many chances but we were totally dominant in the first half and the game could have been out of sight so whatever he was drinking i want some to
  9. Well staying with my sis in dundee and just been to a wonderful game of football. What can i say well the first 10 minutes were a real blur they went that quickly. Billy scored a real good goal after some impressive build up play. It was dreamland only 3 mins later when warren left unmarked at the back post finished emphatically into the roof of the net. We continued to press and i have to say dundee were already dead and buried but the game changed with nish's goal. Some good work down the right by there number 7 reilly (who was a danger throughout) showed some fight to win back a ball that he almost lost and unfortunately for us the ball mangled to get to nish who finished very well. After that the game went a lot more even. Caley still looked a threat but dundee now had some momentum and really started to pressure us. Our defence looked pretty solid again and reguero showed he was a real good shot stopper. The first he smothered well from a tight angle and the second was really impressive beating away a nish shot which was bound for the corner. We got to half time but this game was far from over. The second half dundee really came at us and i thought at on stage it was only a matter of time. they missed a real sitter before having a few dangerous balls played across the box which only needed someone to tap in. But again we looked dangerous. Andrew shinnie was great all game his touch was great but his burst of pace was really frightening for there back 4 as he drove towards. He had a few good chances one he slashed well wide and one which went narrowly wide. Roberts had a good chance but he again narrowly missed. Reguero wasnt really tested in the second half but we still had a feeling that dundee could get an equaliser as nish was winning everything in the air. Shanes arrival i thought gave us more stability down the left as roberts didnt really track back and he was again dangerous driving at the defensive line. About 78 mins and draper hit the bar from point blank range and we all wondered if that would come back to haunt us but shane held up the ball really well to win the penalty. Shinnie smashed it down the middle and the 3 points were ours. But we decided that we needed one more and shinnie was involved again playing a great ball to mckay who showed really composure to dummy the sliding defender and knock the ball into the opposite corner to a wild celebration. We did have periods were we started playing the long ball alot again but dundee were very one dimentional only being a threat from the long ball. The song sheet tonight was great with all the traditional songs and our dundee songs plus we are gonna win the league which was pretty funny. All in all another good performance and we look really good going forward onwards and upwards but if you dont believe me then watch alba
  10. well we did seem to have a return of the drum last season but it went again there have been calls including me to see it back as at least it makes some noise and maybe is a good way to start a sing song but i dont know what happened
  11. Does anyone know how long for
  12. looks like im coming up for this one
  13. The thing is i was a season ticket holder for 6 years and only on very few occasions were there games that the fans made much noise. I didnt attend due to uni commitments but the falkirk relegation match i have heard the sound on that and our fans clearly come across very loud even though it was a bad day for us i shed a tear in the union haha. The point is we only have 3 sides and so most noise goes out. All grounds in the spl are compact and have very few gaps so the sound stays within the confines of the 4 stands. Unfortunately we cant build another stand due to lack of demand but i was proud of the noise i could hear on the tele
  14. well on over the bridge they are saying they made a great atmosphere and that our fans just mubbled a few times. I can totally agree from 2009/2010 when we last played them were they did out noise us at tcs but i could clearly hear our supporters sing on tv. They seem to be having trouble finding a singing section at victoria park because of grumpy old men wanting them to sit down haha
  15. being last on sportscene is bad if we werent higher than celtic v hearts then we were higher than the others and arguably that one we were the biggest match this weekend in the spl but who cares really sportscene is crap as all it adds is analysis the actual highlights are same that go up on the website so that is why i never watch it
  16. We shouldnt need to fear rangers we have been to ibrox and got results against better rangers teams than this one when they were winning everything so even though it wont be easy i say bring them on
  17. haha county poster on over the bridge what a load of ***** "Ok caley might have been on form tonight, but form is temporary, Class is permanent!!we will get you next time. Great support tonight" class is permanent my arse
  18. btw to all the guys at the game i have never heard anyone sing at a home match that i could hear on tv if i couldnt attend tonight i could hear everything a credit to all great atmosphere that is what is needed to turn tcs into a fortress
  19. foran fell awkwardly with fraser in the first half espn thought it may have just been swollen
  20. but also munro beaten in the air by mckay
  21. Well how im still alive i dont know that second half was the longest half of football ever. I have to say we deserved that even though county dominated possession our defence looked water tight meekings and warren were so dominant in the air. It was shame we conceded because we shouldnt have that was never a free kick but well we won. Doran was my motm he was everywhere and well that is strike that deserved to win any game but a special derby goal. Great 3 points roll on round 2 in January but hopefully we can go on a good run and try and cement top 6 this season because i think we are a good football side and can finish above some teams
  22. disappointed tudor jones just walks back in but overall good enough to win
  23. Hi guys just thought i would start a post to see what everyone thinks for friday. I was looking at Over the bridge while writing the preview and add maybe some quotes from there fans giving it that but remarkably alot seem to be running scared saying a draw would be good and that we are favourites. I do think we win 2-0 what are everyones elses outlook
  24. I am only recent to derby games and so the first one was at home only a couple of years ago when we were relegated. That was a poor game and we deserved to lose but what i enjoyed was both games at Victoria park. I hope to make the new year derby but it wont be the same as in the 1st division with the great atmosphere on the terraces which was my first time on terraces. We may not of won either but the banter was great and it was a fantastic experience that i will never forget. The home return on our great run in to the title was a brilliant performance and the atmosphere for a home game was not bad
  25. i am on preview and i have a few notes from the first season but you can find this all out on here at http://caleythistleonline.com/page/TPL/fixtures.html
