  1. Now just 5%.
  2. If I've got my sums right, using bookies odds to derive probability (not perfect because they make a margin) then our chances of making it to the play off is just under 30%.
  3. Bookies have both ICT and Hamilton as clear favourites to win their respective games, which would obviously mean us finishing bottom. Bookies are usually right......but often wrong!

With just 1 or hopefully 3 games left, I had a look at our scoring charts, wondering how it would compare to our relegation season when our top scorer had just 5 (Rooney, from 10 starts). As with that season, we have clearly lacked a prolific striker - or at least we haven't gone with a line up and tactics that resulted in a player scoring a sack load. I think looking at only league games is the best measure, as all games are meaningful and against full time opposition. Based on this site's stats, we have: 6 Tansey and Fisher (from 8 starts!) 5 Doumbouya 4 Tremarco and Billy Mckay 3 Draper and Polworth Selected others - Boden 1, Anier So whose gonna end the season top of the list? Hopefully Anier!
  5. We've obtained more of our points this season from games v Dundee than from any other team. 7 - Dundee 5 - Hamilton 3 - Killie, St J, Rangers, Well (+ Saturday to come) 2 - Partick, Hearts, 1 - County, Aberdeen, Celtic

To clarify, Dundee Utd's £1.5m loss was for 15/16, their relegation season. I suspect we will have made a loss of around £0.5m this season. That number is somewhat plucked from the air but we all know that to break even we need a high league position, cup runs, player windfalls etc and we've had none of those things this season. The only saving grace is that we must have saved a fortune in win bonuses!
  7. We have now exceeded Dundee Utd's dismal points tally of 28 last season. Whilst we think Foran has done a bad job, and he has, they mentioned last night on Radio Scotland that if you construct a league table from when Cathro joined Hearts in early December, we would be bottom (obviously) but Hearts would be just a point ahead of us!
  8. Cracking goal. But not for the first time, a simple header missed the target. Head shaped like a new pound coin!
  9. It's still a 100% record, but with double the sample size.
  10. Great bit of reverse psychology!
  11. Foran said something interesting post-match (he usually does, but for the wrong reasons!) Said that we'd had a lot of injury problems this season and a couple of other player issues. Intriguing.
  12. Great first half with chances at both ends. Second half we were just trying to keep it tight, and when we got a chance to attack we would just hold the ball up rather than try to play someone in. It worked, so we can't complain. Has to be said though that Dundee showed no urgency, it showed that they are safe. So the game just fizzled out, which suited us fine.
  13. Our attackers were getting tired at that stage - but Fisher more than McKay. Fisher was finished, and Draper was out of fuel too, so it was time for something to change. But Anier? He came on and did nothing tonight. NOTHING. No pace, no workrate, no use.
  14. Like waiting for a bus, 2 in the first 10 minutes!
  15. Dundee could easily have scored a couple but for poor finishing. But that missed header by Fisher....
  16. Your reality check is valid but unwelcome!
  17. We haven't even scored a goal when I've been present!
  18. So who else is up for it (or down for it)?
  19. An exclusive group that would include Richie Foran!

How about the James Bond song, "Die Another Day"!
  21. It's a 100% record. What else do you need to know?!
  22. Thought we'd be dead and buried by now and hadn't previously given much consideration to the match v Dundee but the game could now be a very significant one, for better or for worse. Reasons NOT to go: 1. I witnessed us get relegated last time and it was a truly horrible experience that I don't want to repeat. 2. I have no faith in the team's ability to get a result. 3. I haven't enjoyed any of the games I've been to this season. 4. I don't bring the team any luck, in that we lost all the games I've been to this season. Reasons to go: 1. Could be one of a small group of fans to have witnessed ALL of our relegations! 2. The team needs our support. 3. We are ICT. Anything is possible. Verdict : As a fan you've got to take the rough with the smooth. Bring it on!
  23. Still need 3 games to go the right way, but at least that's better than 4. My optimistic fact of the day - we've won ALL of our away games played on a Wednesday this season!
  24. If Foran could learn from his mistakes he'd be a managerial genius by now.
