APRIL FOOLS DAY
Slightly off topic, but worth mentioning that Jamie McCart made his Scotland U21 debut last night in a 0-0 with Estonia.

Team News - Injuries and Suspensions etc
Hopefully it's just a ruse to get sympathy and a seat on the Tube while he's down there!

Inverness CT -V- Ross County
For the last couple of seasons St J have had great vocal support at games from their Young Team, the Fair City Unity. But similar to what we are reading here, most other fans find their other antics to be an embarrassment to the club. It's a pity that groups like this can't seem to give great support without it being accompanied by some unsavoury stuff.

THE HIGHLANDS ARE OURS ??
Indeed - in fact if we'd won even one of the derbies, County would be bottom and we'd be 10th!

Aaron Doran Out for the Season
Seems like he's been with us forever (6 years actually) but he's still only 25.

Aaron Doran Out for the Season
It's only fitness and injury issues that have prevented him being as big a success as Jonny Hayes, he certainly has the talent.

Beware the Ides of March
Since we beat Rangers the other relegation contenders seem to have raised their game, the results in the last 8 days have been awful for us.

First choice back 4
It's been a season of chopping and changing at the back due mainly to injuries and with the odd suspension thrown in. It's possible (but perhaps unlikely, given our luck in this area!) that before the end of the season we could have all our defenders available and match fit. In which case, what should the starting back 4 be? I think Tremarco would be almost everyone's first pick, but there are some interesting choices across the rest of the back line, where nobody has really stood out. Options are Meekings, Warren, Raven, McNaughton, McKay, Laing and McCart.

Inverness CT -V- Rangers
Tonight's result is a bit of a sickener for us. In fact since we got that long awaited win on Friday, Killie unexpectedly won at St J, Partick unexpectedly beat Hearts and now high flying Aberdeen lose to bottom side Hamilton (again). We clearly can't rely on anyone else doing us any favours, just got to get more wins for ourselves.

So, what's changed?
We may have confidence and belief now, but we didn't during or after the previous 2 games. If you think that is the cause, where did it suddenly come from?! I think the the reasons are less psychological and more to do with tactics.

So, what's changed?
What a difference a week makes. A failing management team and a bunch of underperforming players out in a series of half hearted and pretty shambolic performances, then all of a sudden we step up a few gears and get a good away point and a great home win - the kind of turnaround that you normally only expect to get when there has been a change of manager, like when Butcher came in. There are probably numerous factors behind the improvement, but what do you see as the main reason(s)?

Goalkeeping Crisis
Now that Sutton Utd are out of the FA Cup, I wonder if one of our local bakers could put together a package to lure their sub keeper for us?

Our former managers
Did anyone spot this interview with Hughes a couple of weeks ago? http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/former-inverness-boss-john-hughes-9789274 "Hughes spent two-and-a-half years as Caley Thistle boss before surprisingly quitting in May 2016. But he loved every minute of his time up north and insisted there was no fall-out with Inverness chairman Kenny Cameron over budgets. Yogi said: “I was quite happy and had just signed a two-year deal but a few clubs were sniffing about including Dundee United. “I was content and happy but wanted to move it on in terms of players leaving and new ones coming in. I didn’t fall out with them. Everybody said it was budgets but it wasn’t. I wanted to keep competing, getting into the top six and reaching cup finals. There is a great saying, ‘If you want me to make the dinner I buy the groceries’. I have spoken to the chairman since then and wished him all the best.”
