  1. Another eye catching tie is the ‘Buckie derby’!
  2. Home tie v a Broomhill, team we’ve never played before. Weekend of 20 January.
  3. The positives today are that we got to rest some first team players, give game time to fringe players, and most importantly, we are in tomorrow night’s draw. Dundee Utd aren’t and nor are Arbroath. Dick Campbell gone after 7 years (feels like he’s been there forever!). Wonder if Dodds or Robbo will be interested in that vacancy?
  4. 2-0 FT, subs Wotherspoon and Mckay saving our blushes. The debate about which strike pairing is our best will be a short one.
  5. Hughes: “You’re gonnae get 3 months in Barlinnie.” Dunc: “Ha! You're gonnae get 6 months at Ross County!”
  6. “I’m telling ye pal, vegan croissants are the future”
  7. Two future ICT managers having what surely would have been a great tussle, before ICT even existed. Captions?
  8. That would make sense, sadly for us. But if Dundee get knocked out before us, presumably they can revoke that condition of the loan.
  9. I presume that sort of deal was what was meant by “huge potential for the development of our site”? Ta for finding those comments from the annual report. Regarding my question for STFU, that quote of having huge potential is very different to claiming that it is going to be huge.
  10. Source? It was certainly mentioned as a good thing for the club, but huge? Not that I can recall.
  11. Unless businesses that could benefit hugely from being in a Freeport zone might be willing to pay big money for a site that is?
  12. Of course, but in reality it’s a bit like refereeing, isn’t it? You have clear fouls, clear fair challenges, and then some things in a grey area where even when the ref has a perfect view (ie all relevant information) he has to make a judgement and take into account any mitigations, and a different ref might reach a different verdict. Different outcomes can all be justified and sometimes it might just come down to whether he wants to give it or not!
  13. And your posts on this thread have been great. World’s gone mad!
  14. That was a helluva game, remember it well. Bring back the derbies!
  15. One of these battery farms has got planning permission 160 metres from my house, I’ll be able to see it from my bedroom window. And looking it up online just now, I’ve just discovered that another one has recently been approved about 300m beyond the first one and that one is even closer to houses than the first. Both sailed through planning. I noticed that one of them is an ILI project and used the same agents and project manager as the ICTFC one - so they can’t be that bad STFU, despite your claim/hope that this is all the club’s fault for using cheap advisors!
  16. I was answering someone who asked why we don’t put the facility next to the stadium - the grid access is not available there (but is at Fairways, as we know).
  17. Those representations to the planning department were the opportunity for the site’s neighbours, Inverness’s retired folk and other interfering busybodies to object to the plans. They don’t carry much weight, and any letters of support would have carried no weight at all. What the club want now, which is their only slim hope, is to influence the councillors who will vote on whether to accept or reject the planning department’s recommendation to reject outright.
  18. Can’t get the necessary connection to the grid there.
  19. Yes indeed, and there were a couple of other big tackles from him too.
  20. Really entertaining game with a lot of good football on show - hard to believe it was a match between 2 sides not in the playoff places. It’s always disappointing to concede a late equaliser and it makes you feel like it was 2 points dropped, but in reality you can’t begrudge Dunfermline a point given the number of chances they had, hitting the post 7 times and missing a couple of free headers too. They could easily have won, but on the whole I still thought we played the better football, and had some good chances too. I was impressed with our play, good passing football on the deck, some classy moments, keeping possession and being patient in the build up. Some will say too patient, with numerous calls of “shoot” when we were passing in and around their box waiting for a clearer opportunity, but I think it is a sign of a good side that we can play that way. On this showing, I am very confident that we will continue moving up the league table.
  21. The trouble is, whilst the world and governments need progress towards net zero, council planning department have no responsibility for such matters and are instead just required to apply their council planning rules. So if something takes up 2 acres of previously open space they will not look on it favourably, regardless of the benefits to ICT or the world as a whole.
  22. For our rather uncommunicative board to respond in this way with a statement and video indicates that a refusal is a very serious setback to the club. Not good news.
  23. Last season 2nd got a playoff against 2nd bottom of the league above.
  24. At the start of the season the team didn’t have Wotherspoon, Anderson, Ujdur or Boyes who are all first team regulars now. IMO back then the playoffs were something we could perhaps hope for but certainly not expect, regardless of who the manager was.
  25. FT 3-1, that’s another really good result. Doesn’t matter that the 2nd half wasn’t as impressive as the first.
