  1. FT 1-1. Meh. Not good enough, we need to me winning home games like this one.
  2. Nah there will be goals, and I’m pretty confident that at least 50% of them will be for us.
  3. It’s disappointing that we couldn’t make this work, even at a much more accessible price point than previous attempts. Was Gardiner basically right all along that there’s not enough demand for hospitality amongst our support? Other, smaller clubs seem able to run a regular offering.
  4. I’m still trying to process what just happened there. We created and missed so many chances against a poor Alloa side who were making mistakes all over the pitch. We eventually and deservedly get to 2-0, then make substitutions and completely fall apart, time wasting for the last 15 minutes to cling on for the draw. Sadly every substitution weakened us. Alloa could attack at will down their left where we had C Mackay right mid and Bray right back, neither with the physicality to stop anything. Strange decisions from the manager there. Two points dropped.
  5. SG’s claim is that he lent money to the football club (IT&CFC Ltd) and not to the Concert Co. It certainly seems to have been recorded in the books of the football club, forming part of the related party loans that Savage has sought to eliminate. It would certainly have been in SG’s interest for it to be recorded in the football club, less risky for him. What we don’t know is what documentation there is regarding it. Normally that would make it abundantly clear.
  6. I’m chuckling at the thought of someone launching a crowdfunding appeal to help SG. It’s almost worth doing just to see the comments it would attract.
  7. It’s an absolute sickener that SG will get this money. But come on, did Savage and the Board really think that the CEO could be punted without having a lengthy notice period to be paid in full? The one contract you can be sure he secured was his own.
  8. On that last para, Morrison would simply have repurposed a spare/dormant company he had sitting around, rather than set up a whole new company for the concerts. Note also that the concert company did not have auditors, too small for that requirement.
  9. Doesn’t that mean SG has got a court to agree that the debt is payable?
  10. Memphis Depay springs to mind. Why not - Alan Savage seems able to perform miracles!
  11. It’s a smart shirt.
  12. Well done to whoever came up with the topical idea for that teaser, made me laugh!
  13. I see Sol Bamba passed away yesterday aged 39. I can remember him playing against us for Dunfermline a few times in 2006/07, the days when we had Ian Black flying in with wild challenges. I didn’t think Bamba was up to much in those games against us but he went on to have a great career at a much higher level.
  14. Unsurprisingly, dropping down a league seems to mean the calibre of match officials drops down a level too.
  15. A quick look at the league table shows we have scored 3 conceded 3 - and it will surprise absolutely nobody that no team has scored fewer than us and no team has conceded fewer than us either.
  16. Phew, we won!
  17. I presume the emergency loan keeper has gone back to Clach as we have our 16yo on the bench instead?
  18. Well that was a waste of an hour. They said a few times that this interview was coming up, it never happened, nor did they ever say that it would no longer be happening for whatever reason.
  19. Alan Savage being interviewed on Radio Scotland Sportsound this afternoon, likely some time betweeen 2pm and 3pm. Should be an interesting listen.
  20. Scott Burns saying Bavidge going to Ayr. Aberdeen want him to play at Championship level, which is understandable.
  21. Reminder that transfer deadline is 11pm tonight. I remember the days when the last few hours of the window would be exciting for us!
  22. Officially announced now.
  23. Fair play to Dunc for taking a significant voluntary pay cut. Probably the best thing he’s done for us. Hopefully it’s a turning point from him being part of the problem to being part of the solution.
  24. I’m not sure he’s as wealthy as you might think, having been declared bankrupt 10 years after he retired.
