Clean sheets
That's 4 games in a row now : Hibs, St J, Morton and St M. Am I right in saying our longest ever run of clean sheets was at the end of season 05/06, when we won all 5 of our post-split games to nil?

No, let's try speaking basic English!

Park definitely worked under Charlie, but I can't remember how long that was for. Incidentally Malky Thomson is assistant at Limerick, after a spell coaching reserves for a team in Dubai.

I was with you until you suggested him as goalkeeping coach.

Friday trivia question
I suppose the answer to another question, which clubs have ICT managers goen on to play for, would be Dundee Utd, Aberdeen and County. What about this one : which former ICT players have gone on to be managers?
-
Friday trivia question
Indeed, although I actually left them out deliberately because none of their former players have gone on to manage ICT (as he went their after his 2nd spell with us).

Friday trivia question
You've got it. Hughes played for Alloa and Berwick early in his career, whilst for some reason Butcher turned out 3 times for Clydebank right at the end of his.

Friday trivia question
This might take longer to type than it takes someone to answer correctly, but here goes anyway. What connects these Scottish clubs? Aberdeen Alloa Ayr Berwick Celtic Clydebank Dundee Dundee Utd Dunfermline Falkirk Forfar Hearts Hibs ICT Livingston Raith Rangers St Johnstone

Definitely Whitehawk, but I wouldn't rule out that he might still doing stuff for Brighton too (it was only U15s he was coaching there). There's no official mention of him leaving Brighton, but then again there was nothing about him ever joining either.

Indeed, but he's only 33!

Where's IHE this week? Quietly formulating his thoughts about the appointment of Hughes? Or has it sent him into complete meltdown?

I'm loving the fact that Yogi's phone rang when he was with the players in the dressing room....so they fined him £5

Ciftci escapes with two-match ban
He's effectively escaped any punishment at all. It was a 1 game ban (+1 if he reoffends), but he's out injured for the few weeks and will serve the ban whilst unavailable for selection anyway. I'd agree that aggressively putting your hands on an official should still have merited more than 2 games.

The assistant manager thread
Having been a wee bit deflated by the managerial choice, I'm kind of hoping that the assistant will be a name that inspires me, one that looks like forming a great management duo and who could potentially be the next manager. We all know that the last management regime was successful despite comprising flawed individuals - but between them they had all bases covered and it worked well.

The assistant manager thread
BBC: Chairman Kenny Cameron said that Hughes is in the process of selecting an assistant and "has not ruled out choosing someone already at the club".

Remember he needs more than just an assistant. Potentially another coach and GK specialist too.

The new manager thread
On the day that Scotland's 2nd best team make a shock managerial appointment, the Daily Record's response is to devote 90% of its back page to 2 separate, boring, non-stories about a team in the 3rd flight. I really shouldn't be surprised, but still.....
