In Dunc I TRUST
Fair play to Dunc for taking a significant voluntary pay cut. Probably the best thing he’s done for us. Hopefully it’s a turning point from him being part of the problem to being part of the solution.

In Dunc I TRUST
I’m not sure he’s as wealthy as you might think, having been declared bankrupt 10 years after he retired.

Our squad next season
And who can forget when we gave Airdrie a 6 goal head start and then, oh wait, no. 😬

Our squad next season
If Connal can match the 3 goals he scored last season, he’s likely to end up amongst our top scorers!

Our squad next season
We have signed on loan Connal Ewan, 18yo County defender. He was on loan at Elgin last season where he played regularly, and had a spell at Forres the previous season.

Interesting to compare the Courier’s coverage of this morning’s press conference with the club’ statement from Panos! Courier : The club needs, and deserves, certainty after five years of huge losses, chaos, confusion and (ex-CEO) Scot Gardiner.” ICTFC : The Club needs and deserve certainty after 5 years of huge losses, chaos and confusion. Courier : “If these entrepreneurs are prepared to deal with £150,000 of the loanees who want payment, I will deal with the £70,000 Scot Gardiner thinks he is owed.” ICTFC : Mr Savage said if these entrepreneurs deal with £150,000 of the loanees who want payment, then he will deal with the remaining £70,000.

Johndo Away Day @ Kelty Hearts
The kindest thing I can say about him so far is that he ‘offers something different’. Make of that what you will!

Johndo Away Day @ Kelty Hearts
But the plan to win none of them is still on track!

Johndo Away Day @ Kelty Hearts
Well, after a first half that was a non-event we were the better side overall and the only team trying to win the match in the second half. Kelty will be much happier with the point. We had the best 3 chances of the match but (I think) Mckay, Mackinnon and Allan all missed the target and that’s the most disappointing thing, we just didn’t make their keeper work. Recurring theme with this side. We were at least trying to attack, but struggled to find space on a tight pitch and rarely cut through. A very forgettable match but it was great to see some old faces in the away support. Oh, and the ref was sh**e.

Our squad next season
Central midfielder / defensive midfielder. Was playing regularly for Dunfermline last season including against us, but I can’t claim to remember him. Wasn’t offered a contract extension by them.

Johndo Away Day @ Kelty Hearts
We have a 100% win rate at Kelty and on that basis I’m looking forward to going tomorrow. (Obviously I’m blanking out the league table and recent results.) Hopefully a good away support too for the occasion.

Historic debt 'written off'
Indeed, and it’s worth noting that we got compensation for Pele, Robbo, Brewster and Butcher when they got lured by bigger clubs. Generally the longer the contract and the longer the notice period, the more the compensation we can get when that happens, so it’s easy to see why subsequent managers’ contracts had terms which unfortunately for us ended up being millstones around our neck when it turned sour.

I’m pretty sure the Board and even SG had concerns about Makwana, they aren’t actually stupid and I’m sure they all know how to use Google as much as the rest of us and would have seen the same red flags. The trouble is, what other options did they have at the time? It seems that at the time Seventy7 was either the most credible option on the table or the only show in town. If the choice was to pursue it or to go bust when the money ran out this month, they had a statutory duty to pursue it and hope that it came good. And who knows, maybe it would have done - latest Wyness Shuffle mentions a source outwith the club who suggested that Makanwa did actually have access to resources and was serious, but I still have my doubts. Bear in mind that our major shareholders and wealthy local businessmen, as well as the wider football investment community, all knew since May that we were on the very brink of administration, and every single one of them declined to step in and save the club. The club was in a desperate situation and the Board must have felt in a ‘beggars can’t be choosers’ situation in the absence of any offers better than Makanwa’s. The real issue is how we came to be in such a weak and desperate position in the first place.

Our squad next season
P&J reporting that we are trying to get Alfie Bavidge on loan from Aberdeen. Striker, Martin’s son, was loaned to Kelty last season.

Historic debt 'written off'
Noticed that the BBC article on this states that the emergency funding Savage has put in enabled Saturday’s match to go ahead. Wow, if that’s how bad things are/were.
-
Historic debt 'written off'
I think the comments made about Duncan Ferguson mean he’s not getting sacked any time soon. Savage wouldn’t have mentioned what Sir Alex said otherwise.

Montrose @ home August
New chairman. New CEO. New hope. Same manager…

The Forensic Audit
Aye, until the next sale deal. I struggle to see how any new owner could make a return on their investment without land related developments.

The Forensic Audit
If we have indeed overordered kits, I guess we will be retaining this kit for however many seasons it takes to shift them!

Ex ICT Players Score
Either that or I’m just home from the match 😀 Saw the name and it rang a few bells. Also found a video of the goal and I don’t think he actually touched it but it was credited to him because he was right next to the defender who deflected a cross into the net.

Ex ICT Players Score
Zach Elbouzedi (2017/18) scored the winner last night for St Patrick’s in Azerbaijan in a Conference qualifier. Noticed that Jake Mulraney was also in the team.

I’ve said it before, but the Board seems to lack anyone of a finance/accounting background. Someone with those skills would be better placed to scrutinise the numbers, know what questions to ask of the CEO and insist on what financial information should be provided regularly.
