  1. I know it's important to give encouragement to young players, but this is something else! Fast forward to kick off at 2:00, and rememeber that this is an Under-11's match. Lech Poznan
  2. Yeovil fielded a couple of Scottish trialists - Jim Patterson, and Steven McLean.
  3. That result has lifted my spirits a bit, even if it was against a side that seemed more experimental than ours.
  4. I might be wrong, but was it not just awarded to Castle Stuart for 1 year? If so, what are the chances of it being retained? The place has been extremely unlucky and deserves another chance IMO, but you couldn't blame people for pointing out that it was a risk that failed and didn't meet expectations.
  5. Like yourself I'm a bit nervous, BUT these signings might come good, and more importantly, there's still time and money to bring in more.
  6. What, County? Maybe he'll be able to stay in the game in some for or other until the public have forgiven him. Perhaps do some scouting, what with his eye for young talent? But seriously, he needs to get out of Scotland if he wants to rebuild his career.
  7. Either way, doesn't look like be playing for us this season. The search for decent players continues.
  8. Great description. Only in football could these be described as positive qualities!
  9. Perhaps they were just reheating the pies left over from last season. Does that make you feel any better about it?
  10. Remember him? Ugandan international winger who had a trial with us 3 years ago. He played in our 5-0 win over Liverpool but is back playing in Uganda these days. Came across this interesting tale. Uganda's top 10 sporting scandals I wonder if Brewster & Bennett dropped ICT's interest because they didn't want our family club to be associated with any sort of sexual scandal?
  11. But they'll no doubt be better than their male counterparts when it comes to sweeping it under the carpet!
  12. Could be someone else's personal reasons.
  13. Scottish refs are NOT the worst in the world. http://video.uk.msn.com/watch/video/bizarre-world-cup-handball/1j4ual8wi?from=video_module Incidentally I see that the Aussie women's team are referred to as "The Matildas" so it is great to see such good progress away from the chauvanistic days of "Sheilas".
  14. It's not irony, it's destiny!
  15. It's just our U19's for this one, yes?
  16. As far as I could see, not even the Stratford Town first team. Plays as a forward for their youth team in the Midlands Youth Floodlit League. Wonder how this came about, it's not an obvious move for either party, and you'd think that if he's a rising star then one of the more local teams would have picked him up. Hope it works out though.
  17. The other day the BBC website made reference to it being held at Castle Douglas

You need to be having the nips in the morning. It's the only way to make your speech remotely funny. Will you be trotting out the Helmut Schoen joke? And the 'Aberdonian found dead on the "pay as you leave" bus'? Hope you all have a great day, best wishes to the happy couple. Consider this to be a telegram!
  19. I think our record at the Almondvale West Lothian Courier Braidwood Motor Company Stadium is : Won 5, drawn 6, lost 6 which isn't a bad record for away from home, especially against a team that had big wage bills that they couldn't even afford to pay.
  20. I'm sure Scotty can extract some better figures from the club's official stats, but from looking at some stats websites I think we have played : Falkirk 39 times County 35 times Livi 33 times The team that we have lost to the most is Falkirk, 21 times, ouch. But the team we have the most wins against is County, 17 times, which is nice.
  21. I'd have guessed Falkirk.
  22. I think most of us would have expected Dani to move back to Spain's lower leagues, but he has gone on trial with Wellington Phoenix, who play in Australia's A League. Wellington's manager Ricki Herbert is also the NZ national team manager, and played against Scotland in Spain '82. Seems Dani played in a pre-season friendly just a couple of hours after his plane landed. NZ Herald Very best of luck to him, he seems like a good guy and whenever he got a game for ICT he didn't do much wrong.
  23. Ah yes, the all important "forgotten man" role!
  24. Aww, fantastic news, delighted for them. Well done to all 3 involved. Someone should warn them they'll be seeing so much green sh1t over the next few days, they'll think they're watching Hibs. :baby:
