  1. Duff is a sort of utility/midfield/right back player, which decribes what Proctor has been for us too. I would question whether we need both of them, but I think I'd rather have Duff.
  2. Bit harsh, and I'm sure the likes of Dunfermline and St Mirren would see him as a good signing.
  3. If the quality and range of beers has improved, why would it NOT continue as the pre-match meeting place?!
  4. I would imagine that for Europa league away games, that wouldn't be a problem.
  5. But on a more serious note, on the day that plans to clamp down on sectarianism in football were announced, should we not be trying to eradicate predatory paedophiles from the game too? I know which gives me more concern.
  6. I know some people don't like chants about these things, but the one to the Manics tune, "And if you tolerate Rix, then your children will be next" is surely one of the greatest of all time.
  7. Or they finish in the bottom 6, again.
  8. We are away to Motherwell, home to Hibs then away to Dunfermline. Need to get a decent number of points from those games before facing Rangers. Highland News Embargo? What embargo? They published this at 8.13am!

Interesting. I'm not sure he is being brought in with the intention of being a first team regular though, given that he has very little first team experience - never played for Watford, 7 games for Stockport and 5 for Carlisle. But he'll get his chance here to earn a place, and if he does well we'll no doubt try to get him on a PCA in January. Here's an interview he did with a local paper a year ago when he left Carlisle for Watford. Times & Star
  10. Aye, ICT feature in 5, but it's a 4-1 defeat! Still, it's always good to see Jonny's goal and dance.
  11. That surely can't be right, they had Barrowman
  12. The arguments against long term contracts can be summarised in one word: Barrowman.
  13. You didn't make it to the last para of that HN article!
  14. When Dods became free, I'm sure I wasn't the only person to wonder whether or not he could fill a gap in our defence, again. He was probably the best defender we have ever had. But that was in the past, he's a few years older now and definitely past his peak. Plus there's the geography factor again and we know he would only move up for a long term contract that ICT would never offer him. So it was a nice thought for a few seconds, but its time to move on and continue the long search for the new "Machine".
  15. We used to employ a convicted wife beater, and the only discontent from our fans was regarding his (lack of) footballing ability. Fans judge players on the pitch.
  16. Obviously the striker is only allowed 1 touch, but that can't be the case for a keeper.
  17. Stumbled across this very quick online quiz on Scottish football, in which ICT are listed as a possible answer to one question. I got 7/10. No cheating now. Guardian quiz
  18. Looks like the pieces of the jigsaw are now in place. Bristol, Yeovil then Aldershot, although the last one is a lot closer to London than to the South West. Wonder where the team will base themselves, Bristol?
  19. So, an attacking player with plenty of running, terrible first touch, poor finishing and doesn't score many goals. Straight replacement for Eric?
  20. What would happen though if the keeper saved/caught the shot, and then to celebrate, blasted the ball into the net? In a penalty shoot out, is the rule that play is still live until the ball comes to a stop?
  21. Keeper got a touch but evidently didn't save it. Wicked backspin, but no doubt that it's a goal.
  22. All that article needs is the final sentence "And in a completely unrelated move, bookies have stopped taking bets on Dunfermline getting relegated."
  23. Looks like we were indeed trying to arrange a wee tour - Portadown have just announced the cancellation of their friendly v ICT which had been scheduled for 11th July!
  24. Look at the left of the picture - is anyone surprised that one delegate has a whole pile of ballot papers
