If true, that's a pity. They really looked after us for Brewster's leaving do in January 2009.

For me it's all about next season now. Give all the youngsters a game, along with any players the manager is still undecided about. As for the bit about affecting who gets relegated - well, if we end up fielding our weakest team against Hamilton and severely p1ss off St Mirren and their fans, so much the better.

If anybody catches Terry's attention in this trial, is there anything to stop them being played as a trialist against Hamilton to see how they perform in a more realistic environment?

I think the split is a good thing overall. What have we been playing for in the last 6 months? What have we been discussing all the time? Without the split, most of our season would have been a series of meaningless friendlies, with no chance of the title or Europe, and no chance of relegation. How dull would that have been?

I wouldn't recommend this, but there's still an option - just field him anyway, and take a penalty for fielding an ineligible player. It's been done before!

Delighted to hear he played well again. But can anyone explain why he seldom demonstrated his importance to the team earlier in the season? The obvious explanation is that he is now fighting hard to win a next contract (either here or elsewhere) but does that not sort of suggest that he wasn't giving 100% previously?

Did anyone hear Billy Dodds on Radio Scotland this evening? Kept going on and on and on about the pitch being a vital factor, and how he bets that Terry asked for it not to be rolled or watered, as he probably wanted it to be as dry and bumpy as possible. He didn't give the team any of the credit that they so clearly deserve, and even argued that "Inverness didn't play any football last night". What an utter tool.

According to the Daily Record George Adams spoke to Grant on Tuesday night with the view to further talks . Sounds like the prospect of moving to County was the kick up the backside he needed to put in a great performance and fight for his place here.

I'm trying to remember, do we have any examples of a player being told they are leaving but the club then doing a u-turn? There are certainly examples of players being out of contention, or farmed out on loan, but then battling their way back into the managers plans, but I'm not sure if anyone has been publicly released and then offered another contract.
