  1. When I saw that Wales was the diddy team in our group, with Macedonia the next "easiest", I thought here we go, it'll be Spain, France, Argentina and Barcelona next, but the rest of the draw was actually pretty good for us. From top to bottom it's about as even a group as you can get, and all the teams will take points off each other. Anything could happen.
  2. If he continues to do well at Birmingham, I would certainly consider giving him a second chance here.
  3. So is it time for Terry to re-sign?
  4. feck feck feck how did we lose this?
  5. My thought for the day : it's curious how the words "resign" and "re-sign" are so similar, yet so different.

    Daddy Stan

You've looked like one for years. Well done to all concerned.

    Squad numbers

Jack has been one of the top 10 male baby names for each of the last 20 or so years. Keep up!
  8. On BBC:
  9. This is very good news. (Unless you are Proctor or Meekings perhaps.)
  10. You know the saying, when something seems too good to be true.... Soccerbase says he scored 4 goals for Swansea, not 41.
  11. Barry Robson - Brazilian (or so he'd like to think!)
  12. Richard Hastings - Canadian Oh, and Ren's one hasn't actually played for us. Yngwie - Pedant
  13. I've still got that Tenpole Tudor single in my old vinyl collection. Perhaps I should pass it on to the stadium announcer so they can play the chorus whenever he scores a goal.
  14. So what are we going to call him? Jones? Owain? Tenpole?
  15. With the signings Terry has made this summer, along with his ruthless disposal of our native stalwarts, the outcome of this ethnic cleansing is that we can expect to see ICT lining up with Scottish players very much in the minority. I would say that Esson, Tokely and Ross are the only Scots to have a pretty much guaranteed starting place. This is surely the most international team we have ever had, and a far cry from just a few years ago when non-Scots were a rarity. Is this a sign of progress? (PS There's a red dot coming to anyone who comes out with the entirely predictable "It doesn't matter where they come from, so long as they are good enough" blah blah blah)
  16. But maybe they just get their stories from here. Let's see if their next tweet is about the poor quality of Inverness supermarket cafes....
  17. I think he and 5 other Norwich players were actually transfer listed yesterday, rather than released. They are still under contract but were told they don't feature in the manager's plans. I would hope that Norwich wouldn't be unreasonable to deal with given that they don't want him and he's only made a few appearances since signing from Bangor in 2009. I was impressed to see that he has a few caps for Wales - but then I remembered that the latest FIFA rankings put Wales below the Faroe Islands.
  18. Best memory was after we beat St Johnstone to win the 1st Division. Everyone was on a high, and just when you thought things couldn't get any better, a TV news crew turned up and filmed us singing "Are you watching Ross County...?" I still have it on video somewhere.
  19. He's one of 6 players told by Norwich to find a new club. (And well done ictrmd - when I first read tm4tj's post I just thought he'd been on the weed again)
  20. Yes, I think international clearance is FIFA's own protocol whereas work permits are EU law related.
  21. It was a very good idea, that came as a 2 part plan: 1) Remove these two stalwarts 2) Replace them with better players The problem seems to be that the plan was only half implemented! (Can you deliver?)
  22. It's a chance I'd be willing to take!
  23. Messages 2,3 and 7 in Terry's voicemail.
  24. Terry certainly sounds enthusiastic.
