I have a lot of sympathy for refs but I'm slightly puzzled by this course of action, which has come rather out of the blue (or green, perhaps). Surely the correct thing to do would be to write to the SFA demanding whatever it is they actually want to happen. And then, if no action is taken to deal with their concerns, by all means go on strike to force the issue. That's how it normally works anyway.
