  1. Scottish refs are NOT the worst in the world. http://video.uk.msn.com/watch/video/bizarre-world-cup-handball/1j4ual8wi?from=video_module Incidentally I see that the Aussie women's team are referred to as "The Matildas" so it is great to see such good progress away from the chauvanistic days of "Sheilas".
  2. It's not irony, it's destiny!
  3. It's just our U19's for this one, yes?
  4. As far as I could see, not even the Stratford Town first team. Plays as a forward for their youth team in the Midlands Youth Floodlit League. Wonder how this came about, it's not an obvious move for either party, and you'd think that if he's a rising star then one of the more local teams would have picked him up. Hope it works out though.
  5. The other day the BBC website made reference to it being held at Castle Douglas

You need to be having the nips in the morning. It's the only way to make your speech remotely funny. Will you be trotting out the Helmut Schoen joke? And the 'Aberdonian found dead on the "pay as you leave" bus'? Hope you all have a great day, best wishes to the happy couple. Consider this to be a telegram!
  7. I think our record at the Almondvale West Lothian Courier Braidwood Motor Company Stadium is : Won 5, drawn 6, lost 6 which isn't a bad record for away from home, especially against a team that had big wage bills that they couldn't even afford to pay.
  8. I'm sure Scotty can extract some better figures from the club's official stats, but from looking at some stats websites I think we have played : Falkirk 39 times County 35 times Livi 33 times The team that we have lost to the most is Falkirk, 21 times, ouch. But the team we have the most wins against is County, 17 times, which is nice.
  9. I'd have guessed Falkirk.
  10. I think most of us would have expected Dani to move back to Spain's lower leagues, but he has gone on trial with Wellington Phoenix, who play in Australia's A League. Wellington's manager Ricki Herbert is also the NZ national team manager, and played against Scotland in Spain '82. Seems Dani played in a pre-season friendly just a couple of hours after his plane landed. NZ Herald Very best of luck to him, he seems like a good guy and whenever he got a game for ICT he didn't do much wrong.
  11. Ah yes, the all important "forgotten man" role!
  12. Aww, fantastic news, delighted for them. Well done to all 3 involved. Someone should warn them they'll be seeing so much green sh1t over the next few days, they'll think they're watching Hibs. :baby:

Enjoy yer day, why not go and treat yourself to a new hairdo. You retired yet?
  14. This article seems to confirm that theory. Lancashire Telegraph
  15. Actually, we could add new forums dedicated to certain players - the Foran Forum, the Doran Forum, Tansey Fanzine etc
  16. Shrewsbury announced yesterday that they agreed terms with Gornell but the sticking point holding up the transfer is that they have so far been unable to agree compensation with Stanley. Even if it falls through, I susepct the prospect of a move to ICT is dead.
  17. You'll no be playing cricket up here, son.
  18. Interview with Josh's Dad a few days ago for their local paper. Couple of points of interest - Terry got the tip off from his Ipswich mate Russell Osman, and Meekings is with us because a move to Stevenage fell through. Haverhill Echo
  19. You're half right.....
  20. But getting back on topic, Sam Allardyce said back in October when talking about youngsters trying to break through into the Blackburn first team: Kean then replaced Allardyce as manager, and not long after punted Aaron out on loan to us. Even though he is young enough to improve further, I'm not sure he is in Blackburn's long term plans and might be best advised to drop a level or two to establish himself somewhere and get regular games. And lets be honest, whilst he looked good for us, on the whole he didn't look Premiership quality. Not often enough, anyway. A Premiership quality winger should be ripping up the SPL and really standing out a lot more than he did. How does he compare with Jonny Hayes for example? Hayes will probably move to a bigger club in the next year or so, but you'd expect it to be Championship at best. What I'm saying is, I won't be surprised to see Doran being loaned or sold by Blackburn this month. So it's well worth making an enquiry.
  21. Love it. But "Aaron Brian Doran Cogan" is just about the Trumpton fire brigade in his own right!
  22. At time of year we normally put some youngsters out on loan, and I'm sure Terry has had that in mind when assessing them in the games so far. Who would Elgin want? Who would want to go to Elgin?
  23. Alloa or Arbroath? I think its actually Arbroath.
  24. Cheers, and well done to whoever got the highlights made and uploaded so quickly.

    Don Cowie

Think he was out of contract so we wouldn't have got anything anyway.
