  1. I see that Burnley's Clark Carlisle is on the Question Time panel tonight. It would surely be great television to get Sir Terry on it, setting the world to rights and just telling it like it is. And for best results, get him warmed up with a bottle of red and a sense of injustice.
  2. As I've said before, if he signs a PCA with Hibs they will then come in with a very low offer to take him off our hands in January, and we'll have little choice but to accept if Adam just doesn't want to play for us any more. I'm sure that's the same approach we'll be taking with Tade.
  3. Yes, with Brewster in charge the number of teams was irrelevant. Would he have been in favour of the "16 ream league" you refer to?
  4. I see Jean-Claude Darcheville is at Kavala these days.
  5. I'm sure he wouldn't mind a bit of "name reconstruction"!
  6. Can I suggest that to save us all time when we type the SPL man's name, we shorten "Doncaster" to "Donckey"?
  7. The slow pace of Greek football might suit him.
  8. I think I heard recently that the average duration of a manager in the English leagues has fallen to 13 months. What's the reason? Impatience of the fans, or impatience of the Board (who are under pressure from the fans)?
  9. It was a poor game and 1-0 flattered us to be honest.
  10. Come on ICT. This would be a good time to score.

The confirmation message should be instant, but gets treated as junk/spam by some email systems.
  12. Someone told me David Goodwillie could be going to Peterhead.
  13. Fair comment D, as usual. Is it too early to start a "Who should we bring in to replace Rooney" thread?
  14. [statto alert/] SPL goals this season (excluding penalties) : Hayes 5 from 17 games Rooney 6 from 21 Jonny has an excellent scoring record for us, in both of his seasons. But prior to joining ICT, he had played for 5 teams and only scored 1 goal in total. It was against Dorchester Town whilst on loan to Forest Green. [statto alert ends/]
  15. Going on the BBC highlights I would say that we should have had a penalty for the handball. The view from behind the goal, if you pause it at the moment of contact, shows that the Well player was easily a foot inside the box at the time. Mind you it would have been a tough call at full speed and it would have been a soft penalty to get anyway.
  16. Godfather, what's the story behind that pic? Never seen it before.
  17. I think he must be the one who posted a thread with pics a few weeks ago.
  18. Hayes has a rarer talent than Rooney, and surely strikes more fear into opponents than anyone else we've got. And our results without him speak volumes too. Alex, yes its a team game but some players are simply more important than others. That's why we have different wage levels.
  19. Yes, he got some games in our first SPL season, and surely takes the prize of worst SPL player. Whenever he came on as sub we used to say it was worse than going down to 10 men. Yet Robbo liked something about him and gave him a lot of chances. When Robbo was answering questions on this site I politely asked him what he saw in Darran that nobody else could, and he kinda admitted he got that one wrong. We released him later that season and he failed to hold down a place at Elgin, Albion, Alloa, or Cowdenbeath before dropping down to the juniors for a few seasons with Bonnyrigg. Interestingly Paul Sheerin brought him to Arbroath this season, where he has made 2 appearances. Edit to add : I see he is down as being a defender now, which is quite surprising - he was a lightweight left midfielder for us, and I don't recall him ever making a tackle or winning a header.
  20. That's a very good result.
  21. Told by who?
  22. Glad to see that Rooney has made it back from Milan, via Easter Rd, in time for kick off.
  23. Yes there is. Latest transfer rumour is that we are swapping Duff for Bent.
  24. There's been a lot of noise from Hibs fans over the last few days that Rooney has been offered a PCA with them. I think Hibs tactic will be to get him signed up for the summer then approach ICT with a derisory offer to take him off our hands this month. Riordan and Nish will be leaving Hibs so you can see why they need a striker. No doubt Calderwood thinks Adam could do a good job, but I wouldn't bet on Calderwood still being manager next season.
  25. I would like to think that as part of the Rooney deal, ICT are currently negotiating for a pre-season friendly against Inter. In the San Siro.
